This part contains one of Wainwright's favourite tops, Steeple. As the sun goes down we head over to Red Pike and Yewbarrow for a sunset finish over Wast Water. I hope you enjoy it!

Hi Steve, I’m glad you enjoyed it 😁. It is, for me, the best horseshoe in the lakes. Great that you had some proper time to explore the area. I’ll be back there soon to do some more.
All the best out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

Another great video and walk from you both. Have done this in reverse substituting Pillar for Haycock and Caw Fell and then came down the side of Nether Beck. Walking up to Red Pike in the heat is a killer 😅, keep the Sunday evening entertainment rolling.

Hi Nick, It was a steep down so I imagine on a hot day quite a challenge for you. I hope you had plenty of water. I need to get over and do the Haycock side but it might have to be spring now as light is going to be an issue on the big ones.
Will do mate, thanks for your support👢😀⛰

Thank you. I really enjoyed this. I went down Stirrup Crag off Yewbarrow, which was lots of fun.

Hi Paul, I’m glad you enjoyed it 😁. I bet it was interesting, there are a couple of very steep bits there. A great challenge😅. Enjoy it out there mate 🥾😁⛰️

Hi Tony and Allison. A brilliant watch that! Good to see it walked from the opposite way to which we did it like seeing the steep descent from Pillar and Red Pike. Its also the best information and footage Ive seen regarding the scramble up Stirrup Crag. We took the diagonal path by-passing the scramble down as it looked pretty intimidating from the top. That pint to finish off was well deserved 🍺 Super video. All the very best 🙂

Hi Tony, Thsnks mate, I’m glad you enjoyed it 😁.
Those downs are a bit tricky and make slow going for sure.
Stirrup Crag does take some hands and feet to get up and I wouldn’t want to come down it so you definitely did the right thing in taking the path👍.
Thanks for your support mate, enjoy it out there ⛰️😁🥾

Hi Louise, Steeple is fantastic. Unsurprisingly one of Wainwright's top 6 summits. It really is a great area and I hope you enjoy it when you get there. Thanks for your support 👢😀⛰

Hi Tony, Hi Allison, absolutely brilliant. What a horseshoe the Mosedale one is and often gets over looked by the Fairfield and Coledale, but I would say it’s the best. Steeple for me offers some amazing views and it’s a a cracking mountain, my favourite yet of all the Wainwrights I have done. I’ve yet to do Yewbarrow.
    All the best guys 😀⛰🥾

Hi Dave, it’s a bit more of a stretch to get to but, as you say, the best the lakes had to offer. I’ve more to do in the area so I’m looking forward to a revisit.
I really enjoyed Yewbarrow with the sun coming down. The top would be great for a wild camp with views over Wast Water.
Steeple is a true top and very impressive views, hard to pitch a tent on though 😂. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

@@trekkingwithtony Haha, yeah you certainly wouldn't get a tent on Steeple. I have all the ones pretty much to west of Wast Water, Middle Fell, Seatallan etc.

Me too mate. Might be some nights in the van coming up as it’s a distance away and the days are short 🚐 ⛰️🥾🌙

Hi Tony what an Epic 🥾🥾💙💙⛰️⛰️ I have got my gopro, could I ask what settings you use framerate and protune and what not, you capture great footage, my first attempt look a little dark especially when in the woods and bracken thanks, if you check it out you may see what I mean 👍

Hi Codgie, Mine is set to Standard 1080 |30 | W. I've also got the vibration setting boosted. Woods will be darker so try and shoot with the sun facing you is possible. You can also lighten in post production if needed. I hope that helps mate⛰😃🥾
