Hi. Thank you for sharing your fast and fun cards, they look great. I don't have a magic mug, its more like several magic mugs and they are scattered all over the place and I forget about them if I don't see them so it's probably time to have yet another sort out and tidy up . Thanks again and have a super day.😊
Omg! I love all the cards, but the black and pink ones are my favorite! 😍 I watched the first video, so it was nice to see your backgrounds put to use! TFS💜🎨
So happy that the nail polish marbling worked out so well! I'm sure I've got some old bottles around -- time to upcycle! Thanks so much. Enjoyed seeing the cards come together too. --Kristin
Love how easily you pull cards together. It takes me so much longer to do it. Maybe I need to go into it with a more carefree attitude and see what I can do. I guess I won't know until I try it. Thanks.
Love your "magic mug!" I am going to do some shaving 🙃 foam sheets, then die cut sentiments and card fronts! CMSS was where I found you over a year ago. I think 🤔 my favorite things are your attitude... happy and use what you have, and your "mug." Be safe, be blessed, and have a wonderful day!
I love that you do make ahead backgrounds by the dozen , it seems and that you have a full magic mug. Your cards are cool and come together quickly, making following your ideas very attractive. Thanks, Laurel. 💖🇨🇦💖
You always make my day. I continue to downsize items but then there are times that I dig into the donation bag and pull stuff out. I love your ideas and inspiration.
I want to create cards with the grands - so doable when things are available in the “magic mug/bin” thanks for sharing the finished cards from the nail polish video :)
Thanks for doing this video…. Fun to watch your creativity in action. Ok, so I have about 100 background panels I have made (watercolor, gel print, 3D embossed, stenciled). I have to stop making backgrounds and start making them into cards! I have started but have a long way to go. These videos help me with ideas. Please keep doing them…… great idea….. I’ll send you some backgrounds for your consultation, and you give ideas on what you would do to turn them into cards…… I love the idea (lol), but I’m sure you don’t…… lol
I’m so happy I discovered your videos on CMSS 2023! Not only are you so talented, but love how fun you make this. Your little phrases make me laugh. Thank you!
Some of the paper/CS gets wrinkled from dipping in water. To make it flat again put thru your Big Shot or any die cutter. Just use an ordinary sandwich for the cutter. Makes a great flat CS
Love the simplicity of these cards. I have of unrelated question...what kind of work mat do you have? There are so many options out there it's so confusing. Glass mat, self healing mats, silicon mats...it's crazy thank you for sharing.
Laurel...At the end of the video you mentioned you'd put a link in the description to the hacks video where the magic mug is explained, but I don't see it? I know what it is, but some folks have asked about it in the comments...
At the end of the video she says she has included a link, in the description, to a time-saving hacks video that explains the magic mug, but it looks like maybe she forgot to put it there. Essentially, it's a mug (can be any container, really) where she keeps all the various bits and bobs, like die cuts or sentiments, that she prepared previously, but never used. She digs into it sometimes when making cards and, because those things are already made, it can make it super quick (like "magic") to create a new card.
Sorry for being "late to the party", but what is a magic mug? And what do your bullet journals on amazon actually look like? I looked them up online, but all I could see was a watercolor picture of what I think is the cover, but no real photos of the actual bullet journal.

Nice, no fuss, and very cool collection! Yes! Use up the bits... I have many!!
super fun! thanks for showing the cards that you ended up with.
Fun cards!! I am starting to do about 25 cards a week, and I'm using up a ton of my lingering parts and pieces.
Those cards turned out fantastic!!!! :)
