- On 3rd April 2016 at the Philharmonie de Paris, John Cale - co-founder of the Velvet Underground - replayed his 1966 debut album The Velvet Underground & Nico.
There is always so much depth to Cale's music. Pure genius!
hauntingly beautiful and reflective...
This live is such an art.
Great atmospheric rendition
This was written on a Sunday morning in fall 1966 by John Cale and Lou Reed. It was the last song to be recorded for the VU debut because producer Tom Wilson wanted a song for the first single from the LP and for it to be NICO who sang it. Lou sang it instead for some reason. Cale does at least as good a job here as Lou.
beauty, tranquility ; john cale, THANK YOU!
