This is why I try to buy minis rather than full size…if only companies would make smaller sized products and reduce prices. Your makeup is SO BEAUTIFUL today you look amazing!
If people would stick to product that they bought and would use it up, you wouldn't need to create more trash by buying minis. For example I have a favorite foundation and I use it fully in half year. Why would I need another? Shadows - buy singles of the ones you really love instead of pallettes, etc.
I agree! I struggle to get through lip products & wish they’d just be a litttle bit smaller. Sadly have to chuck them after a while because I noticed they are separating
Yes!! I always want to purchase minis first whenever I can eventhough it’s not always the best value but I just know that I’m not going through makeup fast enough
I started doing better by using products up, I never have more than 3 foundations and concealers at a time. I only buy my favorite liquid lips bc I’m not a big lip product person. Also I buy minis when available as well as get samples to test out before I commit to buying a full sized product. I also stopped buying backups bc a couple times I have opened a backup and it was already expired.

It’s so funny how the makeup community has moved away from bulk collections. I remember so many reviewers showing off their palette collections of hundreds, some only swatched and then placed in a drawer.
Influencers, by their name, influence. The overconsumption of makeup was massive for a while. I too thought I needed tons of palettes, and subscribed to Boxycharm which just contributed to more and more overconsumption.
Now - I have SOOOOOO much skin care and makeup, and there is NO possible way I’ll be able to use it all before it expires. What a waste.
That being said…I still have pigments that I just can’t get rid of. I don’t know why. I’ve had them for well over 10 years, and haven’t used them in likely 8 years. But they just sit inside my makeup desk, untouched and unloved. Maybe this is the wake up call I need to finally get rid of them.
My palettes I decluttered not long ago…in fact, I’m not sure why I keep many of them. I feel like you could get away with two palettes. One neutral, and one funky. But I’ll take it as a win I went from where I was to where I am now. Baby steps.
Thanks Tati for showing that even a beauty guru can embrace a more simplistic approach to makeup. Overconsumption is a real problem and it’s nice to see someone go against the grain.

After watching your last makeup declutter I decluttered 80% of my makeup too. Was a bit sad while doing it but felt so much lighter after. Trying to live the minimalist lifestyle

Omg I love your glow! I saw one of your tutorials the other day and your body was glowing in the intro and it made me go out and buy a highlighter and mix it in my lotion! You always look lit from within glow! Love it!

I find it easier to pull out what I want to keep and rather than deciding to get rid of things, I decide what I want to stay. This makes parting with other items easier.

De cluttering is good but we have to remember that expiration dates are made for lawyers and doesn’t automatically go bad at the expiration date. I’ve always been told to go buy the smell, look, and feel. Also, it could be the company’s sneaky way to make sure they have your business in 6 months or 12 months.
While yes, some products may stay good past their labeled expiration, when it comes to liquid/creme products you should always just go by the expiration. Those labels are created because they have tested their products and know how long the ingredients keep for. Think of milk, even if it doesn’t exactly smell sour are you really gonna use it past it’s expiration date? Makeup and skincare grow bacteria, it’s unhygienic and you can’t even tell because it’s microscopic. Your skin is the largest organ you have and is constantly absorbing the products you put on it, so ensuring those products are still good is pretty important

I feel the same! I even told my psychologist that some of the comments are so therapeutic, they highlight those areas of my consciousness, trigger those things that are still kind of work in progress. And going through it helps me to grow!

liveeee for a declutter! i wonder if trying to buy the minis of things instead of full-size would be a better option though. You might be more likely to finish up an entire product that way instead of having to throw nearly half full products out 😊

I love decluttering! Can’t wait for the foundation one. I’ve been holding back on buying new because I realize I can barely use what I have in time before it expires. I actually found an expired foundation in my collection and I was so sad because it was expensive and one of my favorites, but I’d set it aside to try new.

Hi Tati. Oooh, Pukka is so sweet. So, former vet tech here. Most facial paralysis in dogs (particularly 'middle-aged' dogs) is idiopathic, like Bell's Palsy in humans. It could be a deep ear infection or Horner's Syndrome. If not the ear infection, it will most likely resolve on its own. However, Pukka remains sweet, lovable and SO dang adorable. I know its impossible not to worry, but as long as he isn't in pain...he should be okay.
@@Bibblesupremacy1992 idiopathic means it is not known what causes the issue. A 4DX test will reveal Lyme disease and I am sure that is probably one of the first tests that Tati and James' vet did.

The eye makeup declutter made me declutter my own stash I kept getting a watery eye.?? . Then , I was so inspired I moved on to a face product declutter and lips over the weekend ! We can all use less ! But now I have more space for NEW products !! Never ending battle with me ! The struggle is real baby !
I'm glad we're able to see how much waste is actually accumulating when you're a make up collector.
I'm guilty of keeping products for way too long, but since a few months now I barely bought anything new. Best way to not be swayed to buy something is to not even try it.
(Btw...I'm not saying Tati or any RUclipsr should tone it down, because it's their job to review make up. But maybe there's another way to waste less.)

As a person who has less than 100 makeup products (everything, brushes included) this video makes me want to declutter even!
Our 16 yr old Yorkie had most of her teeth removed a few years ago ( not uncommon for small older dogs) and her tongue hangs out too!! Kind of cute and didn't affect her ability to eat or lick faces!😀
