1000% true. Power output, 0-100 time and other stupid numbers are not anything that matters.
Lexus will barely be broken in by the time those two German cars are at the junkyard. I own many bimmers and mercs, they're pieces of shits after 100K miles.

One thing that annoys me is that the GS F and RC F are much quieter than the LC 500 despite using the same engines. Cmon Lexus let that naturally aspirated V8 growl like it should!!

Naturally Aspirated V8 Engine with 470hp is amazing. Muricans you do not need 20.9L engines.

This sounds nice but not as nice and loud as the new mustang gt.but at the end of the day this thing is going to be way more realiable then the mustang
CIVIC SI 047 the mustang sounds nice that’s true but understand that the reason why folks love the sound of this car and the rcf is because they fine tune the sound ..making it have a round pitch with the growl at the low and not just a flat loud low end sound and I find point roar at the high end of the sound and not just a wide loud sound like the mustang ...it’s like music on hand (Lexus)and just good but can be annoying at times noise (mustang)on the other hand..the whole concept is handed down from the LFA and formula one cars ..tuned sound that is just true and pure in all its essence..now watch back the video and have yourself a nice organism 🤤when that v8 sing in your ears again

Thang no one said the mustang never sound good but if you read my comment carefully I explain in detail the reason why every car enthusiast praise the v8 f series sound the way they do ..and it’s just facts bro they literally tune the sound ..if you over look the science of that your just looking at things from a fanboy stand point ..it’s the tone that gives the feel that all these folks that drive and review these f cars go crazy about ..you guys have to look at things more objectively and deal with facts and respect the facts because it’s actual proven work ..Lexus didn’t just slap a exhaust on the car to make the sound sound the way it does they actually tuned the engine sound so what your hearing is the actual engine sound that’s why it’s so special to listen to...mustang sounds good man and credit is due to it...but Lexus did something special with their sound and that you can’t over look.
Go listen to the LC500, same engine but sounds way better. I drove this car and the best sound when you are inside.

This car has a good engine but the fucked up with the wrong transmission which there is no fun due to the gear ratio. you got huge gap between each gear and downshift feels like crap.

Nail Bertan Lexus is naturally aspirated unlike the rest who have gone to forced induction. That leads to much different engine sounds and I prefer the sound of a v8 over a tt v6. Also the reliability that’s comes with this is a big reason why one would choose this over its competitors.
Plus, Toyota tried and true reliability. You are not going to drive a 2018 M5 in 5-10 years without some horribly expensive component that needs replacing, in a car that is a nightmare to work on. Same goes for Audi and MB.
It's a shame they discontinued this car.

The official specs for the GSF show it doing 0-60 in 4.4. Says more about the E60 than the GSF tbh. How do you put launch control in a V10 and it's still that slow?

@@ThunderTigerRider My sentiments exactly. With a tune and headers/exhaust you will be 0-100 in well under five seconds. Bloody impressive for an NA engine!
Now I see why Lexus eliminated the GS from their lineup. Although it is a beautiful car, it just doesn’t make sense with those numbers. The GS400 from 1998 had a 4.0L V8 and did 0-60mph in 5.0 seconds, and that was 20 years ago.

You'll also notice they put a disclaimer in the video.
Elevation, fuel quality, etc all have an effect on acceleration. Plus he didn't launch nearly as hard as the car could've handled in the video. And motor trend lists the 0-60 time as 4.4.
You are correct, but you missed the main point of the disclaimer; the video footage is NOT timed. We do the timing afterwards, with many, many runs to try and find the quickest time using a Vbox. We try out loads of different launch methods too. However, fuel quality and temp etc do impact times.
Keep in mind our tests are done as 'real-world' tests - times anybody could expect to achieve. Motor Trend usually test on perfect drag strip conditions and/or subtract the first foot rollout. We don't.
