I've been running 30lbs boost(stock is 15-17lbs) pulling a trailer in the desert for over 10 years on the most used, most well proven, best deisel ever put in a light truck(the 7.3 is a Navistar & is in almost every "International" wrecker & school bus built for 20 years) & it has 230,000 miles on it & uses less than a quart of oil in 7,000 miles. It's definitely NOT a dinosaur & it will still be running when the 6.0s, 6.3s, Dura Max's & Cummins have all been worn out & scrapped!

It’s an iron block 6.0L. Specs are almost irrelevant. It’s 6.0L of displacement at 30psi (2bar) so the twin turbskis are doing all the work. They already said it was a stock bottom end, so if it will actually hold together you don’t really need special parts.
Which LS heads require offset intake rockers and why do they need them ? I'm 80 years old and when I was a hot rodder all my experience was with small block chevys, 348 & 409, and big block chevys. LS engines hadn't been born yet and I just don't have any experience with them.
Nice to see doing something besides an LS or small block Chevy it's awesome although the engine's out of the vehicle why are you not throwing a cam in there that stock piece is a dinky little unit. you know it's super easy to give an intercooler it's on water source you don't have to run it through the coolant system of the engine that just seems dumb all you need to add is a cheap heat exchanger and pump you can do that for like a little over 100 bucks if you want to go super cheap when I made my own kit for my 2011 mustang I went to CX racing and I think I paid a hundred bucks for a decent size liquid intercooler and it was also 100 bucks for the heat exchanger and 50 bucks for their pump although I went through three pumps over 3 years so I wouldn't suggest using cx racing's pump I would use like the Bosch one or something that came on a stock OEM car.

Greg Parsons The manufacturers have that pretty well figured out. A better air filter, a smaller crank pulley to underdrive the appliances, a more efficient muffler, etc might make the combustion more efficient & reducing vehicle weight(manufactureres claim 1 MPG increase for every 500 lbs of weight reduction), better aerodynamics . With the liquid intercoolers.. why instead of using the engine coolant that is around 200 degrees to cool it.. why not hook up a secondary cooling system with a remote mount electric water pump, and it’s own radiator that would mount in front of the ac condensor/engine radiator?? And for even better cooling for those hot summer days, drag strip weekends, or the Saturday night beating up rustangs and slowmaros you could plumb a cool can into the coolant line like you’d see on race cars, like my alcohol cuda had on the fuel line that you’d put dry ice in to get the coolant even colder after going thru the air cooled rad.. which you can use regular ice as well, but dry ice lasts longer and you better make sure there’s no leaks if running regular ice because you get some water leaking out and it gets on your tire at 140+ it’s not going to be a good thing at all…
The factory intercoolers have their own reservoir, NOT 200* engine coolant. FYI, Speed Demon LSR car starts out with a huge amount of ice(something like 100lbs) in the intercooler tank & it's all melted & temp over 100* by the end of it's 6 mile Bonneville pass!
