  • Welcome to Old Vs Young Reactions This is a music reaction channel. My dad and I love music and talking about it. But sometimes we don't agree and that's where the fun comes in. Join us for a good time and some great songs. We are part of a family of six. The four kids range from 24 to 13. There is never a dull moment.
The one thing we always agree on is “music is love”. The power music has is the ability to shape and change emotions and that is a gift from God. There is a reason that couples have their song. And nothing brings back your glory days like that special tune.
If you enjoy this video and my reactions make sure you subscribe to the channel. We want to hear what you want us to react to so drop it in the comments and we will do a video on it.
ALL DONATIONS ARE APPRECIATED. Equipment gets expensive and we hope to improve from an iphone and no headphones lol.
God Blessed and All The Best To You And Yours!

I think these guys really are the last big generational band before the internet took over. You should react their b-sides. That was some of their stuff. Half the World Away - Masterplan to name a few.

I enjoyed that… I get dad’s comment about the slightly juvenile lyrics, but hey, they were juvenile delinquents😂 For a total curveball from Oasis, I’d recommend The Masterplan. It was a B-Side, but these boys put out B-sides that were pure quality 👍

You guys should definitely react to their first single "Supersonic"! Preferably live at Earls Court in 1995.

Oasis were HUGE !!!over here 🇬🇧 during the 90s but across the pond only Wonderwall (Most well known song but far from their best and also like the drunk national anthem over here 🇬🇧😂) and champagne supernova really got airplay but HIGHLY recommend checking out some of their live stuff, Live forever (Live at Maine road) has Liam on vocals and Don’t look back in anger (Live at riverplate stadium) with Noel on vocals are a great place to start ….BIBLICAL !!!

I think in their earlier music you would find repetitive lyrics in a number of their songs. Slids Away is a song that comes to mind, but is a great song nonetheless and you should definitely listen to that one. Next song should be Cigarettes and Alcohol.

You should do Rock n Roll Star and Cigarettes and Alcohol next.
BTW the line "where were you while we were getting high" was a greeting they used to say to each other.
So that's how it ended up in the song rather than them being juvenile lol.

Oasis ran from 1991 to 2009 so fans that were 15 when they broke up are now 30. The fans from the start are almost 50. That's dad rock.

@@oldvsyoungreactions well you can call any music dad rock once a certain amount of years have passed since a band released a song....I can understand if you get dad rock vibes from the way the song sounds but that's just your opinion and I'm guessing most other people won't get those vibes.....you should definitely listen to more of their songs because they definitely aren't a dad rock band

"Dad rock"! Seriously? Hilarious, especially coming from the guy who looks about 70.
You made claims they slagged the Beatles off. To my knowledge, they NEVER attacked the Beatles ever. As for your Claim that McCartney shrugged them off, that's total bullshit. Noel,in particular, is friends with Macca, and even recorded with him on their charity cover of 'Come Together'. Liam is a complete fanboy of Lennon. The closest they got to upsetting any Beatle was Liam responding to George, who (I think) had been unfavourable towards Oasis. Neither brothers have attacked John or Paul verbally.
"Had their moment" They were huge for more than "a moment",and not a one trick pony.
Clearly, grandad here has got a bee in his bonnet about them because they were probably critical about some dinosaur band he likes.
As for the comments about younger people not listening to Oasis, that's just plain ridiculous. They had a fanbase that were teen to whatever age,and still do. Both Liam & Noel play to huge crowds still, and they include plenty of young people eager to hear their "dad music". In fact,Liam is playing the whole of their first album live this summer, and it isn't just to old farts like the guy on this channel.

You really need to go down the oasis rabbit hole plus their solo work each brother did separately....once you have listened to about 30 plus songs you will realise how talented they are....even their covers of other great bands were as good or if not much better. With oasis sometimes their live performances or demos are even better than the album versions plus they have loads of hidden gems and their B sides are better than most good bands best ever songs. Next you should listen to their 1994 mtv performance of "live forever and whatever" that they do acoustically back to back or try rock n roll star. Or the best opening to a gig is the swamp song at maine road 1st night or 2nd night.
