I would be curious to see how the Lehigh Extreme Defender and Extreme pentrator in 9mm and 357 SIg would fair against IIIA body armor. Much more common calibers and handguns available to them. Thanks for the info.
Not familiar but pretty sure it's gonna be no... Wouldn't mind seeing that test though
@@beargillium2369 Lehigh Extreme Defender and Penetrator bullets are solid copper and have a Phillips head screwdriver like tip. At 68 and 89 grains they run from 1800-2100 FPS in 9mm and 357 Sig in handguns. PCC should be even greater.
The Sony camera looks excellent. So much you can do with the film formats and post-production editing. Which one did you guys get???
Camera looks great, digging the slow motion. Thanks to you both!
FMJ all day long brother.... Really awesome to see the 7.5 round and the Cz-52 both super Awesome rounds and guns
Hit that with some of that underwood 9mm Xtreme defense (65 grain +P, 1800fps), from a PCC with a 10"+ barrel (should get it up to, or close to 2000fps). I've seen it go through some brands in 3a, but others will stop it.
That'd be an interesting vid.
I think liberty civil defense will go through even with a 3 inch barrel. Nice plus but if you really want to go through armor you should just use a rifle
at that point, just use a 5.56 or 300blk, or 7.62x39 pistol....
I dove-in and bought some body armor, thanks to all the reviews you guys have done. Your demos are the best ones out there! Thanks Guys!
I wonder if it would stop a 44 mag out of a 20" barrel...probably...but would still like to see difference from 6"
Is hot a deer 🦌 about 20 or so years ago with a .44 lever action with a 20 inch barrel. I know I wouldn’t want to get hit by that after seeing what it did to that deer!!!
Load a Henry up with some Underwood 160gr extreme hunters cooking at 1800fps and it just might punch through. Has a very small nose profile which is how you make it through armor.
That high speed footage looks fantastic. I’ve been subbed to you guys for years and I’ve always wanted to see you guys with a high speed camera.
Cameras are awesome brother. And I like the point you made about the primers. Both with the piece you were using and amoung the others out there.
According to the ATF, eForms is going live December 2021!
Here is what you need to know about ATF eForms:
The New eForms will making owning an NFA item (suppressor, SBR) quicker and easier.
Launch Date is estimated between the 15th and 28th of December.
Why would the AFT want to make it easier and quicker?
@@stevennewman4778 they have E-Forms for everything right now except Form 4, but the new system starts in less than one month!!!!!!!!! There will be Form 4 on atf E-Forms in less than one month. Got straight from Silencer Shop!!!
Great quality picture with the new cam, keep it up guys!
Good results. Thank you
Great video!
The video quality looks great! Awesome choice of firearms in this video!
Great vids mate!
I love the Slo Mo camera work.
Thanks Eric, very good video! Thank you for the time you served in the military, Hooorah!!!!
Great camera!
You sir have sold me on a concealable shirt. I always looked at armor as too bulky to be discrete. Now I’m just working on saving up some cash for it.
The cameras look great the pictures are very clear very nice good job guys 👍
Thank you for your efforts. Finally a test on unusual calibers and ammunition!
crisp and clear picture !
The picture looks good and color saturation is crisp. Good choice.
Hit it with some Liberty Civil Defense 9mm +p+ from a PCC and you've got my attention.
Cool. Thanks.
Hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving 🦃.
I really like the slow motion cuts.
Top quality audio and video
Definitely a good hunting vest Best Decision to have something especially when you have a crowd of trigger-happy Deer Hunters Even in the field for pheasant when you have all those close Crowds Trying to rough up anything they can All my hunting is on private land now I never did purchase one of these in the past I guess I was lucky 50 years in the field With my dad at age 7
You do not know how deer hunting works if you think all deer hunters are trigger happy or if you'll even be close to any while hunting
I’m pretty sure it was a tokarev pistol in goldeneye man lol but image quality looks great. 7.62x25 is one of my favorite pistol rounds.
Cool vid
Seeing 7.5 FK was fun and informative. Even cool to see 7.62 tok is still cold war beast. Was hoping to see heavy subsonic rifle bullets vs Lv IIIA or hope to see videos of that in the future.
Nice choices. Would have like to see a smith .460 or 500 mag for fun. Keep the vids coming man! 👍
Great video excellent quality.👊😎🇺🇲
Love the 7.62x25 round ! I also has a Nintendo 64 in translucent green. I miss them both!
Looking good
As you were loading the 44 magnum I did notice the camera quality was really nice. Then you said it lmao.
The armor looks good on you. Cool to see real life data
Love the 7.5 fk I hope it goes mainstream
A 357 carbine (I have a Rossi M92) goes trought a 3A vest like a hot knife trought butter... .30m1 carbine does the same. Some years ago I shot a folded vest with a hot 357 load, and it goes trought the folded portion!
New camera works like a charm!
Could you include some xtreme penetrator rounds from a handgun in your tests of level 3A? If you know someone with a PSM that would be great also :)
Sony are a nice upgrade... Looking good!
Thanks for the Goldeneye reference
PC Carbine 16" barrel, 9mm, 90-115 gr, JHP, goes through iIIA like a hot knife through butter, no fancy, exotic or +P ammo required.
240 grain at 1200fps into a IIIA shirt is still gonna require immediate medical attention. It’s gonna work well for 9 and .40 which is really the most common pistol threats
Medical attention would be unnecessary if you didn't wear it
Sadly my Yugo M57 is having disconnector issues so I haven’t been able to shoot any of my 7.62x25. Great video as always
I’d love to see this armor vs stuff like unique shotshells. Flechette, bolo, etc
Loved the video!! How would that soft armor hold up to the 17 caliber Remington, .222 magnum, or .223/5.56
the armored shirt is pretty cool. if its winter and you can afford it, and cover it with a jacket, it could be something you wear every day. to be honest though, i doubt anyone out there is wearing body armor daily as a citizen who isnt a guard or in law enforcement.
Okay, so I didn't have the Bell for all notifications turned on, even though I could have swore I did hit the Bell, but anyways I didn't have it on, but I did see this video in my recommended feed and immediately I thought that this would be a very interesting video, and that I don't think I've seen the boys doing anything like this yet, so I clicked the video, and come to find out it's a brand new spanking video; well several several hours old LOL but still a brand new video, thus the reason as to why I haven't seen it around before the same way I see so many old episodes from like 9 and 8 years ago. I have a feeling this is going to be a goodin'. Let's watch the show 🤠
The CZ52 is short recoil roller lock gun. There is no delayed blow back as you see in roller locked HK designs.
Can,you guys do a review on the NAA 22 Mag Top Break cause i want your opinion about it.
"Side note" I feel like a surgeon's job will be harder to pull Kevlar out of your chest instead of just a slug. Just a thought... just use hard armor
Try the IIIa shirt with the IIIa vest. what kind of protection would that provide?
I would like to see/hear more about armored shirts.
That likely would penetrate this vest. You need UHMWPE IIIA to stop it, and I've stopped it from a 16" barrel going 2600 fps.
Will you make a video on checking head space on a mosin plzzzz. I want to get a mosin 91/30 but I don’t want to buy one that’s not shootable
I'd like to see what energy is left in those bullets that do pass through. Even if they penetrate through the armor, do they then half hardly any energy left? is their cavity performance reduced? I'd like to see is there isn't an all-or-nothing to this.
Bear in mind level IIIA has various construction types, from Aramid to UHMWPE. Aramid is not good with speed vs UHMWPE :D
5:13 “it’s a pretty dense dummy” hey my mom said that about me
44 mag:"Probably gonna feel it." Yeah like broken ribs, broken sternum, lacerated liver, and spleen, feel it.
You should've tried the 50gr+P Liberty defense 9mm
What's the ballistic rating of a well worn ecwcs fleece?
4.6 shot #8 was a magic bullet. Hit the dirt way off to the left, between the gun and dummy from the camera's perspective.
I saw that too
Fleece jacket babayyyyyy
You should have used 1950s Czech steel core. It would have gone through every time. Even the 9mm will.
The cannon is probably a bit rusty to light up this year's pumpkin (and sponsored armour) season.🤧
I miss grampa
Have you ever shot a TYR Tactical plate?
Hairy rubber dummy, after Eric send him some love
Just curious why/how the report (bang) seems so attenuated.
Veerry niice
Clear as Alaskan glacier water
I wish more firearms were chambered in 7.62x25.
same here I've been wanting one, but want more than the Russian equivalent to the 1911
💯
Any videos with other RUclipsrs?
Love my FK Brno
IIIA is sufficient protection when hiking in the concrete jungle.
U should test Preimer body armor
I can see the tiny fibers of ya jumper shining in the sun.
Try a 12 pound Napoleon.with a l pound powder charge.
“Your prooooobably gonna feel it” means ,it gonna hurt REAL BAD.
You'd be lucky if you have the majority of your ribs unbroken at that point.
I wonder if the stiching was a waffle pattern with a waffle pattern set at 45 degrees. Making a cross pattern would work. The standard pattern only works one way. But cross more area to work through. If it works, suggest to makers. Be your idea
Try buffalo bore +p+
Isn’t that penetration if you can see part of the jacket on the opposite side?? It didn’t look like it stopped that 45
Anyone know of an outdoor gun range in Georgia. Just bought a mosin, and the morons at my local shop keep telling me that my ammo is steel core even though it says on the box it’s not. Their stupid magnet is connecting to the lead jacket SMH
So, there are a bunch of DNR ranges. There is gunsight hill in Athens, Riverbend Gun club is Dawson (Membership) South River Gunclub South of the city (Membership maybe)
Or if you have a friend with property. May want to call Governor's Gun Club they have a 100urd range that is inside. But they are nice enough to talk ammo etc. FYI, the lead should not react to magnets. There may be lead in there but also a magnetic element causing this. Not saying steel core.
Magnets do not grab full lead ammo. Your ammo is indeed Steel Jacketed, around a lead core. Almost all surplus 7.62x51 ammo is. It will also damage an indoor backstop.
Depending on where you are in GA, the DNR runs 20 outdoor shooting ranges. The fee is 20 dollars per year at any place that sells hunting or fishing licenses. Or you can simply have a hunting or fishing license, and that grants you access too.
@@BadHaddy it’s not though, on Barnaul website, it says it is a lead jacket it doesn’t say anything about steel, it says they use a proprietary lead jacket to prevent moisture from getting in. wish I could put a screenshot. Either way, I wasn’t down to argue with the person at the range.
@@georgianjuggernaut1308 thank you, I will check it out. It’s possible, but the sign said no steel core So that’s why I came. Either way, this was at Governors gun club but what can I do. Thank you again
@@BadHaddy
It’s 7.62x54r. Not 7.62x51
The newest Sony cameras are some of the best cameras on the market for most cases. There is a noticeable difference between this video and your previous videos.
Sony camera works wonders pretty much see bullets hitting the target in real time
I have level 3+ steel plates
Hmm, wondering if 3a hard armor with 3a soft armor behind it as a "impact trauma" pad would do better against the ammo you threw at it in this video.
There is no 3a hard armor, only III IV. There is "III+" offered for sale but it's not a real NIJ rating.
The color hue is off. I like the way it was. I was a wedding photographer for 20 years. I saw the mirrorless Sony revolution hit.
You need to do a custom color balance. Too much blue green hue.
If you could make the color sharpener
Lieutenant Dan from Demo Ranch?! What's he doing on this channel?! I wondered where he went.
300 blackout subsonic?
Amazing channel thanks when will you try a 6 inch 1911 😁😁😁
95%? Or more like 99%!?
7.5 and 4.6 guns and ammo are pretty esoteric and very, very expensive, aren't they? That should limit their proliferation compared to the rum of the mill, 9 mil. (pun intended)
That leaves 7.62 Tokarev.
Nice burm
Do a video of light 556 rounds at level 4 plates. Want to see a hot load 3300fps+ Thank You
A level IV is going to laugh off light varmint style bullets
We need another Meltdown.....
It says it’s rated for 44 mag I WONDER if it can stop a 44 mag out of a henry big boy with the long barrel
Don't use HPs for the test.
Since that knew 4.7 or 4 that new cmmg Gun and round song made it through out of liked to see if A 57 banshee banshee would have made it through or not
