She recorded that song in her twenties, Chante been hitting those NOTES for years!!!!!!!!!!!! Listen to Waiting Exhale Soundtrack that was incredible! She is the only one that could do any Minnie song, and do it note by note like Minnie would. You should listen to her and Kenny's Here We Go!

I have a few friends that have worked with Chante, they say she is a dream boss, sweet , kind and always a lady. BUT that whistle register,.....I had NO idea! Mariah Carey and Chante Moore need to sing and hit that register together. I am sure they would bring down the stars,..just cosmic. AND she is GORGEOUS!

no one knows how many octaves chante moore has, but on her unsung the guy on the piano suggest that she has 5 octaves. but chante says that she has never sat down with someone so they can tell her how many octaves she has.

With mariah, I believe her vocal abilities are severely affected by her nodules. so she actually has a vocal condition that prevents her from sounding like she used to. This condition is amplified by ageing, lifestyle, etc.

I love MC and Chante to death! Not throwing any shade but in my opinion Chante is the better singer! While they both can reach the whistle register, Chante seems to do it with more ease and the acrobatics she can do in the whistle register are phenomenal! Her lower and middle registers are also very strong where MC's lower and middle seem worn at times! MC may have years on Chante but Ms.Moore is a force to be reckoned with! She is in the class with Minnie Ripperton and Deniece Williams!
Both Mariah and Chante are incredible singers, but I have to say that neither singer's Whistle register can compare to the late great Minnie Rippleton.
