This is so real. Similar thing happened to me here when I had some friends from the UK over in Czech Rep. Theyre super used to me speaking basically 100% fluent with no real accent/mix of british and american. So when they saw me speaking Czech in front of them their minds were blown away. Like they knew I was a native but they never heard me speak Czech to them so they were so shocked. One of them even asked me to teach him Czech xD which I lowkey wanted to but ended up refusing as I dont have the time. But I did help him pick out good books to learn Czech from and converse with him a lot, hes gotten a lot better recently. Though hes still unable to get used to our system of altering between how you refer to someone (pády v češtině, máme jich celkem sedm zatímco angličtina pády nepoužívá). Thai durian are eaten relatively yong, that's why they tends to be more sweet and smell relatively tamed (the popular cultivars are also more fleshy and less smelly than the rest of the region) The international market seems to enjoy Malaysian style durian more though which is eaten a more riped, and can be bitter and extremely smelly at the top end (I enjoy that but it's definitely harder to get started) As a Thai fan, I am glad that you enjoy the trip though.
12:50 Thai durian is unique bc they are cut unripe (vs everyone else who let it ripened before consumption). As a result, you tends to get much firmer texture and less smelly durian. Of course, there are also Thai people who prefer very ripened durian.

Even though it's hot and humid, which is part of the beauty haha, it's best to ask not to have ice in a drink, unless you can be absolutely sure it's safe. There's something called "Bali belly" that a lot of people get when they visit the Indonesian island of Bali, and it's caused mostly by contaminated water.

Iconsiam is a cool mall. On the upper floors, there's more food, a balcony, and a cool waterfall. Hopefully you didn't miss them. Street food is great, but I'd recommend Thai KFC (actually godlike compare to U.S. KFC) and MoMo paradise. They are my top picks from my last Thailand visit.

Here to confirm that Chatuchak Market, Siam Square area and ICONSIAM are great places to visit in Bangkok if you like shopping AND eating. Sukhumvit road and Chinatown areas are great tourist spots as well. Also, I think they missed visiting the Bangkok branch of Animate store at MBK Center not far from Siam Paragon. The 7th floor of MBK Center is a place for local otakus there.

Here to confirm that Chatuchak Market, Siam Square area and ICONSIAM are great places to visit in Bangkok if you like shopping AND eating. Sukhumvit road and Chinatown areas are great tourist spots as well.
Also, I think they missed visiting the Bangkok branch of Animate store at MBK Center not far from Siam Paragon. The 7th floor of MBK Center is a place for local otakus there.
Hope you enjoyed Thailand. You might visit us at the peak of our PM 2.5 but hope you're ok. The food is LIT here after all!
