"It's not what you know, it's who you know in Egypt" ...so very very true.
In villages, at the souk and many stores, nothing is priced, so it's still true that many will over charge foreigners. The key is to find those that are trustworthy and stick to them. More shops are pricing things now, but if you have an Egyptian with you they can often barter and bring that price down ( not in a supermarket, but definitely in some clothes shops for example). This is my experience. But Egypt is definitely not the same all over.

Irish female living in Cairo the last six months and yeah I did feel quite isolated in sharm with no real shopping centres etc if I needed to pick up clothes. Hurghada was much better and has a big international mall

From my visits to Egypt I noticed that majority of women in Shibin El Kom, are veiled. I spent majority of my time here as that’s my husband‘s hometown.
Great video, I hope to hear more from you!

Do the taxis scam you in sharm el sheikh. I lived in Aqaba and the taxis and people were horrible and scammers in Aqaba and Jordan. I like to visit Egypt and see how it is.

I learned at a center called “U Can.” It’s closed now. I’m not sure what the cost would be now Bc if inflation.
