Thanks for the video Sarah Could you give an advice where you can find the different networks “reseau” structuring your residency program ? Only found for peds and ObGyn
I'm not aware of a centralised list of réseaux. You can find them individually by looking at the different requirements for each specialty (pdf on ISFM website). There's OBGYN, paeds, Anasthetics, Ortho to name a few.
Hi Sarah, thank you for posting this :) I was wondering if you would please answer the following questions: In what year of medical school should we start applying? Do we need to have a C1 level German in order to secure an internship?
I can help you with that , so basically in Romandie yes , you need at least B2 French, in the German part depending on your preference of location as the specialty, the higher your langage skill is, more likely it be you getting your spot . In some more rural places you might get through with B1/B2 if you’re really needed and if you have experience. A lot of students apply 1-2 years in advance
@@JN-kk4nk Thanks for your input :) The minimum official requirement is B1 but the more you speak the language the better (Ideally C1 level). That being said, there is nothing stopping you from starting with a B1 level and picking it up on the job (tougher but you'll see a quick improvement). With regards to your first question, swiss medical students apply between 4th and 6th year. Time is a big factor in your application so the sooner the better!
Thank you for making this video!
please talk about the medical language learning when you are learning another language as a doctor
coming up soon :)
please talk about the CV for a medical student . if the student was still studying or just finished medical studies what should be inside his CV
noted
Thanks for the video Sarah
