Enjoyed AND appreciated the VERY detailed video this person made in showing us from how to get the bottom off the laptop, to changing out the SSD drive and the memory! Other videos that showed how to change only the SSD drive or only the main memory started their video with the bottom already off the laptop! Well I could see only one screw on the bottom of my laptop! Not only did this video show me that there are screws underneath the rubber strips, it also showed the person taking the rubber strips off as well! This was the BIG help for me, all the rest of the operation/procedure was easy. Great job sir on the video! I not only gave it a thumbs up, but also subscribed!

PRO TIP: Don’t peel the whole foot strip off! Only need to peel from each end until you see the screw. This is applicable only to this generation of the hp envy x360.

Note the presenter's words.. the main battery is also the CMOS battery. In case you are wanting to replace your cmos battery. This applies to SOME models of Envy. Others have a very apparent disk battery on the motherboard

Have the AMD 5500U version of this laptop, and it recently stopped working. It will randomly crash 5-15 minutes while powered on. Doesn't matter if it's in BIOs or windows. It will crash. There isn't a BSOD, and it just turns off. Nothing is helpful in the event logs. Doesn't seem like anything is overheating because I'm monitoring the sensors, using hwinfo...
Ever encounter this? It's definitely hardware related, and I'm thinking battery... It could also be the c-state low power issue for AMD processors, but didn't think that affected 5500U chips.
    Thanks friend!

Regarding the rubber strips, why not just peel away 1 inch from each end because the two screws are located at the ends?

    • @ItsBinhRepaired

I don't have the luxury of knowing where and how many screws there are until after I've peeled it off.

@ItsBinhRepaired I replaced the RAM and SSD on a similar HP Envy x360 15m, thanks for this video! Though now the I/O ports on one side are not working. Its a USB-A, HDMI, USB-C and headphone. On the upper-right side when the back is off and facing up.
Any tips or troubleshooting steps you can offer?

I will add that since I disconnected the battery to do this, the CMOS did reset although I do not see any setting in the BIOS applicable to enabling/disabling ports

So I have the exact same laptop & I accidentally spilled some milk on it while I had it on.
    I turned it off immediately.
Used a very strong air compressor gun to get as much of the milk as I could (125psi), hitting it from all angles, over the whole keyboard, & all the ports.
I feel I was pretty thorough.
I disconnected the charger right after I turned it off as soon as it happened & haven't plugged it back in since, pretty much let the battery discharge.
Is it it salvageable? If so, how much am I looking at to repair it?
Or can I just disassemble it & clean it with isopropyl alcohol?
    Would that do it?
Btw, I've left it unplugged at this point for a week & the only signs of life (if you wanna call it that) is the little white light for caps lock button not turning off, it's just on all the time
