Great video. As another commented correctly noted, in addition to removing the screws under the 2 sticky “tabs,” you have to peel off the rubber circle stoppers at the top corners to then remove the screws beneath them. Thanks for the help!

I appreciated this video. You had more trouble than I did so that was nice. Usually how-to vids make it look so easy and I'm the one having trouble! But it can be so helpful to see someone else struggle thru things first and know what to look out for. Thank you very much for helping to make this repair easy!

Thanks! I was able to replace my envy 360 battery with ease, found 2 extra screws under the rubber pads on the bottom on my model. Works great! Thanks for the Diy vid!

I'd recommend that when you are attempting to separate two tightly joined edges, use a thin, flat bladed instrument like a utility knife, and not a Phillips screwdriver like you did.

if im not mistaken there should be two more screws under the back rubber pads, that is probably what snapped when you pulled too hard, because after unscrewing it should open easily

Good thing there wasn't a hammer laying around. I have a feeling you might have used that to open the laptop when the screwdriver didn't work. New title "How Not to Open Your HP."

I'm experiencing a consistent draining (after shutdown) on my laptop (x360 TouchSmart) since I changed the battery. I've upgrade the BIOS and done some necessary possible solution but thing remains the same.
    Any suggestions please?

No. No and no. He got it apart, replaced the battery and put it back together. But don't ever do it like this. So careless. So wreckless. Knowing the laptop was powered on before he started this process, and never discharged, when he put that screwdrvier at the board like he did I was waiting for the board to short out. You never seperate the case like this. You never use a screwdriver the way he did. You never put the LCD on the table and slide it around like this. A knife, omg. Great way to cut wires, cables or anything in the area and clearly he had no clue. Pushing/forcing the bottom case back in place as he did, great way to bust the LCD. And being a touchscreen, that's an expensive mistake. You never take the case apart with such force like this. This is a great example of how NOT to do this.
Many will say he got the job done. True. But he caused a lot of damage with the way he did it.

Same thing happened to me. The three ribbons got pulled out of their connections on the board. I was able to reconnect them, but now the keyboard doesn't work completely - here are the letters that work: qweru asdfjk zxcvbnm / keys not working: tyiop ghl / backspace key not working, enter key working, space bar working. I'm hoping you can figure out what the problem is. Thanks

Is there a cmos battery on this?
My partners x360 laptop is giving a invalid checksum error at boot but I’ve read elsewhere that the cmos / bios backup battery is powered off the main battery which is on 100% and left on charge.
Would like to know W before I try and convince her to take it apart
