- In this short video we demonstrate how to disassemble and replace the battery on an HP x360 laptop. The process is very simple and it applies to most hp laptops of this generation.
On our HP envy 360 the back cover was warping because the battery inside was swollen. That is very dangerous and needs to be dealt with by either replacing the battery or disposing of the entire laptop computer.
The idea is to pull the back off and then replace the battery with one that you ordered online or purchase from your local computer store.

Thanks for the helpful video. My hp envy 360 15m doesn't have a cable like you show here 3:25 Instead I think it connects directly at the top. Unfortunately I am having trouble finding a demonstration of my type being removed. Could you specify what model type you're working on here? Thanks.

Q. I replaced the battery but broke/bent the left hinge while trying to snap the back onto the keyboard. The keyboard cover has @1/4” gap and will not snap to the base. It makes a sound as I I open & close the lid.
A few small pieces of plastic fell off.
Do you have any suggestions?

Changed out m.2 ssd. And added another ram stick to put it in dual channel and double capacity.

I found the video to be very informative for getting the HP Envy X360 taken apart but I was surprised that the battery in my laptop was an LK03XL, not model MB04XL as highlighted in the video. I'm suspecting that there may be more than one Envy X360 models which would explain the different batteries and also my laptop does not have 4 pads on the bottom. Fortunately, I can return the incorrect battery and replace it with the correct one.
Yes, mine looks to be the same. I jsut ordered a LK03XL for an envy convertible 15m cp0xxx. Hoping it is the correct battery!

any vids on replacing cmos battery? i replaced battery, got a red then green light when i turned it on but it shut down a few secs after that.
The laptop will start without the batery and connected to the current?
How long does the replacement battery last (runtime wise)? Most of the third party batteries I've seen are about as old as the laptop, so runtime seems about the same as the old battery.

Mine is older than yours, Have to take the keyboard off to get to the SSD and battary.
