About Dead End Hip Hop:
No scripts. It's pure unfiltered hip hop conversations and album reviews. No politics. No BS. We Are The People.
“She letting anybody in she like the army” had me crying
Never catched that😂, which song was that on?
@@jameswestwood1079 "Where Ya Get Ya Coke From?"
@@kaeslabyrinth sound m8
@@jameswestwood1079 “where ya get ya coke from?”
Rod sounded like someone discovering punk rock for the first time. "It's chaotic, but overtime you start to enjoy the chaos..."
When Myke said “I wish I had a Danny & JPEG when I was 15”. Mans preaching.
I'm 100% sure Danny Brown can rap over any beat ever.
And Myke would be hyped to know they did make a mini-documentary!
w
That's a true MC right there lol
"I NEED A B1TCH WITH LONG HAIR LIKE MYKE C TOWN!!!"
Still so sad Myke wasn't in the music video
I knew feefo wouldn't be on this one 😢 he wants none of scaring the ladies 😂
Feefo allergic to bars
You can tell that Feefo perfers that mainstream plastic autotune sound.
@@shuheihisagi6689 which is needed in a group like this lol
It doesn’t bump in the whip
@@kbscheme Kingdom hearts key always bumps
The production is sick on this. Hip Hop needs music like this.
Absolutely! Bring this kinda fire back
No trap drums. No boring verse, chorus, verse structures. Unique & varied bass? Not just spinz & zaytoven 808’s? Please god more of this
@@miisher There’s some trappy drums, but the instrumentals are so eclectic and chaotic that you barely notice it. “Burfict!” for example is pretty trappy.
@@miisher there's def trap drums
@@blodiaaa6990 nah you’re definitely right. There’s elements that are almost Deconstructed Trap music. I just meant trap in its most common form but I def could’ve worded that bettwr
I’m only 20 seconds in but Ken got the iPad out so you know he wasn’t scared
What does that mean? What does the iPad represent😂 ?
@@Bonobopantherienbionique it usually means he liked the album lol
This album will end up being a cult classic in ten years, definitely gonna be a top ten album for this year
If there was ever a “instant cult classic”, it’s this album.
@DJDevinstation I'd agree but for the masses I just thought to give it a lil more time
It's a cult classic now fs
Aoty so far lol
Oh it definitely will be a classic. What makes it great is I didn't know I wanted it but they gave it to me. Never heard rap like this.
Shout-out Myke for fucking wit Danny Brown's podcast. That shit is PURE gold.
boof boyz
kia boiez
Every Tuesday we stay ready
They finally made an album for Myke
Scaring the feefos
Shouts to Beezy for being so into production.
About time..
Cant believe no one mentioned garbage pale kids, that beat and sample is crazy. Cant believe they even managed to rap over something like that
How did none of y'all not have Burfict for favorite tracks? Shit is wild.
Omg, when Peggy comes in, shit getsme hyyyyyyped
Fav track. Easy.
Was thinking the same! I heard that song before the album and played the whole thing right away 😂
Danny Brown's rhyme scheme on that is crazy
best track on the album for me too
Hopefully this album will plant a seed in producers to start giving us more fresh & adventurous stuff. We so tired of these slidy 808’s, lex Luger hats.
Tired of getting excited for albums just for them to sound like they could’ve came out in 2015
Oh man. I'm sick of the DJ Spinz 808s used in every mainstream track too 💀
If Vol. 1 was the last time Peggy’s using the 404 I can’t wait to see what kind of thing he’ll go for in a next volume. I feel like this is gonna be a series where he embarks on some of the weirdest and most left-field limitations and conditions he can think of.
This, exactly this! Would be a great connecting thread between albums.
he said that he's done using it in the album notes on Bandcamp
Scaring the hoes vol 2: made entirely on the ps2 using mtv music generator
I'd love him to use a tracker. Really get glitchy with his beats
@@kaeslabyrinth What I mean to say is that every volume should be centered on using/learning to master a different machine.
They have a documentary out of them making this album. It’s on JPEGMAFIA’s RUclips channel.
I LOVE THIS ALBUM, it's my AOTY so far.
Same
This album is like Watch the Throne for people who don't shower (mean that as a compliment)
Remind me of how this dude said "Jessie Reyez look like she stank but in a good way" 😂 which is funny af cause I agree
watch the hoes
This album be scaring feefo apparently
I swear Kingdom Heart Keys has the best anime sample flip ever
Someone needs to lock Run The Jewels, Jpegmafia, Danny Brown, and Clipping in a studio for like 6 weeks and just let them cook.
That's like a list of my favourite artists. I'm down for this even if we have to kidnap them all🤣🤣
“Embracing the chaos” is just a perfect way to explain being a Peggy and Danny brown fan
the samples on this album r crazy
When Beezy mentioned that JPEGMAFIA used the 404s for the drums and they started making fun about it...that part didn't sit well with me. Should have allowed him to nerd out about it because that's one of the reasons this album is what it is.
This is one of the WILDEST and most creative albums ever made!! JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown's chemistry throughout the whole album was freaking phenomenal!! Also, I personally think these are JPEG's best beats he's made!
Yeah easily his best beats
That kingdom hearts beat is insane
Danny's verse on God Loves You 😭
Dope review. Danny brown was quiet but he had so many stand out moments. His flow on heaven on earth was next level.
The canibus line had me rewind like 5x laughing my ass off.
Production on this album is crazy. Garbage pale kids is one of the craziest beats I’ve heard.
album of the year for me
SAME HERE!!!
8:50 finally someone acknowledged this. No one was talking about this
Everyone's chimed in about the Kelis sample, but I think if you listen closely on Fentanyl Tester, they also sample the wii music.
The thought of Ken listening to Steppa Pig makes me laugh
the production on this album is absolutely incredible, i haven't heard anything like it. It's like if El-P and Odd Future had a baby and fed the baby cocaine for breakfast lunch and dinner and only let it listen to Metal and Death grips😂😂and that only touches on 40% of the influences you can hear in this chaotic jungle of noise I love it
There's a song with Danny rapping over an Al Green sample hopefully it makes it on vol 2
Feefo and Rod are never going to be in the same room after the Jay-Z v Wayne loss
I'm surprised no one mentioned the only feature. Redveil was a great little highlight, and he also dropped an incredible album last year. Dude is def on the come up.
This was an amazing album, my AOTY... so far.
it really does grow on you every time, I’m really loving this album from not getting it at first
I’m so here for this album . Your right the more you listen it def grows on you . Genius production by Peggy (all on SP404) , really some next level shit and Danny just compliments the chaos so well . One of my fave albums so far this year for sure. Also totally dig the BandCamp title “404s and Headaches” 😂
“Like NASCAR, nigga you better not go there”
FeeHoe too scared to show up
Nah 😭
FeeHoe is Cray Z😂
At the top of my albums of the year list.
Album of the year for me. Production is otherworldly. 🔥 Edit: album of the year so far. Danny and Peggy are both supposed to release solo albums this year so I can’t wait to hear those.
If you watch Danny's podcast, he is having trouble releasing the album due to label issues in management... luckily Jpeg isn't signed to a bitch ass label
Strong RTJ1 style rollout, I would love to see this have a similar RTJ run.
This album is so dope, got it on repeat eversince it came out, Peggy really killed it with the production, Danny Brown was on fire, the mixing coulda been better on him but its better on bandcamp, cant wait for them to drop a physical copy
Love the review. A fave tracks section woulda been dope I like it when u guys breakdown lines/beats in those
Shout out to everyone at Dead End Hip Hop for how passionate and articulate y'all are about hip-hop. Thanks for another great review. And also big props for how far you've come in terms of production value, even though I sometimes miss the "standing around in a parking lot" days lol
PS: This will probably be my AOTY, absolutely genius collab
This is the album i been waiting Peggy to make where hes able to bridge the gap of his more unqiue “weirdo” sound to a more accessible level and its masterful as hell. This is gonna be a lot of year end lists for sure especially with how much grows on you even though it still rips so hard. Good to see you all enjoyed it well
Danny Brown really is a bridge between the experimental world and the mainstream world. I hope Peggy gets more attention and success from here on out.
Just realized in burfict danny said “like nascar nigga you better not go there” that was hilarious 😂😂
Def one of my top albums so far this year, can't get enough
This absolutely blew me away. Every listen I got stuck on a track that I kept repeating
Always nice to hear Beezy give his perspective as a producer. The beats on this album were crazy
Didnt watch any other reviews on this amazing project until this one, here we go.
Knew i was right, what a great review to compliment my favorite project of the year so far 💯 still have the doc to watch too! Man shoutout to peggy and danny for giving us this great experience
I need a b w/ long hair like myke c townn
Myke was right, the RUclips version of “Lean Beef Patty” is a different mix from the album version. Jpeg confirmed that before the album even released.
This whole album is producer goals! Fun review as always, guys
AOTY BY FAR......PEGGY PRODUCTION WAS OUT OF THIS WORLD.....JUST A DIFFERENT VIBE THAT NO ONE ELSE IS IN.
“Should be in a psyche ward for what i do with vocal chords!”
14:15 Mike is right actually they did fix the mixes for the album
I'm sure the bandcamp version sounds considerably different to spotify (but maybe I'm imagining things)
The Spotify version recently updated and the vocals sounds much clearer now!
I feel like the ODB sample he did on ‘real nega’ back on veteran was a slight preview of what was to come with these sample flips
“Off that CasaMigos, got her taco dripping on the floor” 🤣🤣🤣 fuckin love Danny Brown
Thanks for getting this out; RUclips been dry today! Still have to check this out
He did updated the mix on Lean Beef Patty. Your not crazy! 🤣
This was Her Loss made by chronically online artists
Yo Myke you might have already seen it, but they actually released a documentary of them making the album!
I miss when rod was behind the camera
Album of the year for me so far.

Geez a lot of names I don’t recognize at all. Just when I thought rap couldn’t get any more expansive
We need more reviews!!!
Myke rocking a Humanity is the Devil tee. I see you, bro!
I want to hear more jpeg productions with other active rappers
Lmao @ Ken being like I liked the part when they talk about white folks 🤣🤣
Myke the Kid C Town back again!!!
Love this album. I like metal so the vocal mixing doesn't bother me. I like it, in fact. Great episode.
Jpeg did fix the mixing of dannys voice on leen beef partty after the initial release so you are right myke. He even tweeted it
I know this album is right up Myke’s alley.
They actually dropped a short documentary on the making yesterday
Chat GPT on the beat machine is crazy Ken lol. Great review y’all, love this project
Im glad you guys did this one
sp404 is the sauce. beezy know
Larry and the alchemist next
FACTS🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
I was really curious how Danny would fair Jpegs production and he rode those beats !
This probably my biggest dream collaboration of all time. I've been telling dudes Danny top 5 rappers rn and Peggy is top 5, but in artistry. This really was how music can be when you go all out with no restraint. When you think about how much they probably paid for samples alone. They simply did this for the fans and that's the dopest part to me
@Harmony Olivier Baker I saw that vol. 1 and almost caught the spirit lmao
peggy is like kanye but better at rapping and better at producing
@@udontexist47 calm down
I'm pretty sure that Peggy isn't paying shit for samples, but I don't mind.
Gald to see this channel review this album. I wouldn't say it is the best music Jpeg has made.
Other than that, Jpeg keeps topping my expectations with his great work at this point.
If he fails, I would cherish the art he's giving up till now.
Here's to the great music 🍻
They didn't pay no michael jackson 😂😂😂
A lot of songs sounded more like a DJ mix where the vocals were from another track than the beat
honestly i wish more hip hop vocals were mixed this way. it lets you lean into the song to try hear the lyrics more and the music brings you in more. the super upfront vocals we are used to are great for the first time you hear a record, but the lower volume and distortion on the vocals on this record make relistening to it way better
This album needs to be hung up next to rembrant
I loved this album. Can't wait to watch the documentary. I agree with the mixing but I understand it.
10:47 wait til the rest of the crew hear about the 303, 202, 555 lmaooooo
Garbage pale kids just has one of those samples that digs into your ear as soon as it comes on, when the beat comes in it’s just magic
Lol Myke acting like Beezy snitching on the samples. Every mf listening knows those samples, dude!!!
Myke making fun of Beezy for that maybe? 😭
Man I love the fact I love this album. Reinforces why I love myself
anyone who likes this album, please do both of us a favour and listen to Injury Reserve, their whole ethos is making the weird sound familiar.
RIP Groggs.
hopefully boosting this cos it needs to be heard.
and again
and again
and again
I wasn't expecting to like this album since I'm not a big fan of electronic music, but JPeg did his thing on this one.
Wearing a mask in 2023 is wild
Yeah kinda weird but my co worker just got COVID rn i thought that shit was gone
@@RawWrath it's literally impossible to differentiate between a cold and covid
@@RawWrath No it mutates all the time it's never going away. People just stopped caring about it.
Garbage Pale Kids is my jam on this whole album. I was like JPEG is a different kinda production yo.
