About Dead End Hip Hop:
No scripts. It's pure unfiltered hip hop conversations and album reviews. No politics. No BS. We Are The People.
These Report Card vids are some of the best yall've come up with in a while, this shit is so fun to listen to
I agree
💯
dope deerhoof pfp dude
Feefo vs. Myke is always golden content
Truth!
Someone who knows what they're talking about vs someone that doesn't.
And everybody knew it was gonna happen on this 😂
@@ninjasrose1653 just differences in taste/opinion my ninja brethren
Feefo makes this way better lol, "6 out of respect"
Lmao Beezy don't understand the categories, he just picking numbers 😂😂
yoo the fact that these are stressing him out like hes back at school are killing me
@@giovannizerbini3119 I agree with someone else's post who said that some of these categories were kind of confusing, and could have actually been put together
@@giovannizerbini3119 AHHHhah you hit the nail on the head
Not the Frozen Butter 😂😤
Nah nah nah 🤣
🥶 🧈 😭
Microwave mayonnaise
Only 2 report cards in and already 2 classics. These are entertainment at its best 👌
Rod has issues articulating sometimes. I think "a perfect discography" to Rod means that every album is a 10, not that every album is good.
Nobody can get a grade of 10 in albums.
Plus *ROD-Z,* not the credible source.
Maybe clown-able 🤡, but not credible
@@PontFlair Your comment is cringe
@@ravantgarde1899 your response is "cringe". Only young people say "cringe".
Plus I can feel *ROD-Z* lost credibility in these report cards. I like this *DEHH* topic, solo vids and roundtable discussion. That said, I am allowed to say he lost credibility by grading someone on "The Jigga Scale"
@@PontFlair you just said it twice
@@PontFlair you type like a Trump supporter
I’m gonna throw out a few names for report cards; Mos Def, Black Thought, Pharoae Monch, Elzhi, Phonte, Jay Electronica (probably the most interesting one to do because of the lack of albums)
and Andre 3k
@@deadstroke82 oh for sure!
I can tell you a solid dude from those picks. Gave me a step brother did we become best friends moment lol
Oh man. Elzhi I would adore. His would be so interesting. He's so talented but his album output feels like it falls short of his full potential. I love his albums, but some could def be stronger
Phonte got busy!!
Ken cracks me up. When B is trying to explain his 9 in articulation and Ken goes "fanboy".
B got that substitute teacher energy
🤣🤣🤣🤣 facts
I can't blame *Beezy* for it though. Some of these categories could've been put together. There was confusion from him and the other guys
DOOM will forever be the goat
Only person I can think of that came close to sounding like DOOM was a baby Earl Sweatshirt.
These report cards are dope. Myke & Beezy got it spot on. Very well articulated by both of them. Proper DOOM fans! Feefo, really has limited knowledge. How on earth can anyone say MF DOOMS flow isn't smooth? Stop. And 6/10 for albums is just either hating or lack of understanding!
I respect *Feefo's* report card, truthfully, especially when you consider his taste in rap. It was objective and fair.
I don't agree but I respect his fairness
are you joking? i too agree with myke and beezy more than feefo but saying he has limited knowledge and saying that beezy articulated it well is ridiculous, feefo explained his criticisms much better than beezy did his praise
"8.9" had me in TEARS LOL!!
There are very few artists that have a perfect discography. We're talking perfection here, not just "no skips" or something like that.
Awesome video fellas, this is a great idea for a series! I’d probably be around a 9 overall for DOOM. Would love to see Nas in an upcoming episode. Keep up the great work!
I would've loved the NaS/MF DOOM album that was rumored. Apparently, they were friends. NaS has an MF DOOM painting in his living room
Kool Keith came first officially rapping as another persona in "Earth People" in 1995 as Dr. Octagon. Dumile was doing open mics around 1997 as DOOM and DOOMsday didn't come out until 1999.
Really loving these report cards. Shout out to y’all
Forreal
They need to keep this up
"A 6 out of respect" 😂😂😂😂 Feefo man.
I think that's fair and honest considering *Feefo's* taste in rap
@@PontFlair I know but it's the way he said it 😂
@@xSalamz I get it.
Think about the type of rap *Feefo* likes though. And he believed MM..FOOD was a classic, he loved that album.
He didn't get Madvillainy, but he understood why it was classic.
I respect *Feefo's* RC, I said in another thread, I believe him and *Ken Suge Knight* were the most objective RCs, whether I agree or disagree
@@PontFlair Ken Suge Knight 😂😂😂😂
I respect his honesty lmao
I’m loving these segments! Two suggestions that I think would make it even better: 1) Clearly defined categories. I think this would help conversations be more interesting since there wouldn’t be confusion with what things mean. 2) Overall score being an actual average of the rest of the numbers. It would be interesting to see the calculated “grade” each rapper gets
Yeah i like this
Would then end up with a rank for all the different artists they cover
I feel like an Eminem report card one would be comedy
Can we get a Nas, Kendrick and Lupe report card
We need a Vaudeville Villain review ASAP.
That's a CLASSIC
King Geedorah too
It's always a treat when they're all together. 💯🙏🏾
Bae DEHH just dropped full DOOM convo😂
These eventually need to lead up to an ultimate battle of each crew members top 5's battling against each other where yall try to objectively decide on who has the best top 5 list.
🤔
He said it’s like butter that was frozen 😂😂😂😂
Modest Media Rod Should Know The Mask Is Actually The One Worn By Maximus From The "Gladiator" Film....
Rod's "pettiness" was the reason Ctown gave for not giving ratings in the reviews like Fantano does. They said you might give a rating and then be held to it when the next album comes out
As far as hip-hop emcees, I would give Jay a low 9 and DOOM (RIP Supervillain) a high 9. Both are legendary to the whole scene, but DOOM produced his own beats. And he never sold out.
Doom ain't a vibe stealer, he's a vibe creator.
You can here it on any song he shared with his man's and them.
Doom gives the right of way to rhyme, ability of styles and stone cold flow.
Listen to any song he flowed on; Doom literally invites people into it and shows immediate respect. It's like this! If you can't actually rap, your opinion is useless.
If you can rhyme, pull that shit out and rock. Rhyme in verse and flow.
Yours is yours. Mine is mine and we can share until you start tryna act bigger than the thing we both know is ours.
If we both understand that a tea cup our grandparents made together is broken, we can glue it back together. But when people stop cooperating, there's a problem.
Rest easy, The God! All peace! Blessings and love to your little ones. ❤
I feel like it’d be a stretch, but I’m curious what each Report Card would be if they were to do one on Missy Elliot?
You guys reinvented so well.
Gotta do Kendrick for Report Card. His report card would be damn near flawless in my opinion!!
Please continue these report card videos through out the year. 10/10 content
These report cards are dope. Please keep doing these.
Average mc's is like a tv blooper
Mf doom he's like Db Cooper.
RIP DOOM 🙏...All Caps....Overall grade for me is 9.
RIP DOOM
Fun concept, maybe too many categories because a lot have overlap. Great discussions!
Love this
What about The Open Mike Eagle ft that had trap tendencies to it and he killed that
I would be dope if you guys included impact in hip hop on the list. That would be interesting
off the top of my head Pharoahe Monch is the only one who can match DOOM in delivery. I would love to see his report card.
Great video, loving these. Wish certain members would give better reasons at why they are picking certain ratings though.
Giving DOOM a 7/10 overall should legit be criminal
DOOM goated in gold.
Love the new content. I do think y'all should collectively specify what exactly each topic means so each member wont grade based on a different understanding of the category.
Glad everyone gave MF Doom high ratings on originality 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Idk versatility wise I understand he might not be able to wrap over trap beats but some of the beats from Vaudeville Villain were so out there and he still killed it
earl sweatshirt and joeybadass need one too
10 all across the board
Soooo, if a rapper has 6 albums, and theyre all like an 8/10, then for albums they get a ten? not saying thats the case for DOOM, but NehruDoom and that second Viktor Vaughn album are mid for DOOM, he should get a 9 for albums. DOOMS the GOAT dont trip, but lets be fair
This series is straight up 🔥📛
Why does the print on the curtain behind feefos shoulder resembles half of mf dooms mask lo key
Can I give a suggestion for how to revamp the categories? I feel like you can add and merge some of these things, and they can be more clearly defined too.
Vocabulary: How many unique words do you use.
Flow: How effectively do you ride the beat, how rythmic you are with your words.
Lyricism: How clever and technical are you with your bars, how effectively do you utilize literally techniques. How intricate do you get with lines.
Delivery: How do you say your bars, how much emotion do you put into your lines, how compelling are they. How effective do you convey the themes. Do they sound convincing? How powerful is it?
Presence: How noticiable are you, how much do you cut through. Your charisma, your voice, how cool you sound.
Creativity: The overall idea, topic, and concept for your songs and albums. How original it is.
Craftsmanship: How do you structure your songs and albums, the details you put in songs. How you build your songs and albums out.
Versatility: How many different styles you show. How do you switch up your rapping.
Musicality: How musically inclined is your work. The music theory behind it, how you make it sound. How melodic and harmonious you are.
Overall: Considering everything together.
Love this series fellas. A few people I would love to see you guys rate are Nas, Marci, and Ghostface.
Ghostface... that's a GOOD one right there!! One of my favorite emcees
Did you guys consider editing out the part where you go around the room w/ individual scores, going straight to the convo, inserting a graphic to show each persons score?
You would lose the initial reaction to the other persons score.
@@directedbysunny e x a c t l y.
@@directedbysunny Not if you cut it in as they begin explaining why they gave that score. Brief cut in flashbacks would work well and only about 10% of the reactions are worth seeing. The point being to aid in the pacing, not just change for the sake of change.
Dang I can Rap Gazillion Ear Acapella!!!!! Im from the 80s bro, you gotta learn every word type shiddd
The Presence conversation raises an important point that should be part of the rubric: stage show. Of course, you have to have seen someone live to give that justice, but it's an important part of how good a rapper is. There are rappers with amazing albums who have bad stage shows, and vice versa. For example, no one would say U-God is the best rapper in the Wu, but he is one of their best performers.
VV2 is probably his only album that a vast majority of fans dislike.
I Give Mila J A 1 just heard 2 songs so that's why disrespectful with Trey Songz and my main featuring ty Dolla sign my main song
These dudes giving DOOM below a 10 for vocabulary are just in denial
Can I tell you my 2 top favorite artists you might think their garage or SHIT
I would LOVE to see a Lupe Fiasco report card
Dooms flow is impeccable and nearly unmatched. People are just now catching/catching up to what he was doing decades ago. His shit is so locked in its tight and every word is not wasted it fits just right.
Rhymes like dimes is FLOW MASTERY.
Figaro is flow mastery for people like feefo and rod that prefer the less intricate more direct type flow.
“Egads he got enough styles to start three fads”
DOOM is the greatest rap artist of all time. Rip DOOM
Rip my mom. Peace ✌🏽
I’m sorry but I feel like rods huge bias towards jay z really cloud his judgement lol
That's 💯
Y’all should do MACH HOMMY
Andre 3000 better get all 10 or 9 whenever they do his report card
Andre would get a 0 on discography lol. Still waiting for his solo
@@topbackpodcast2615 OutKast albums is his discography
@@derrickzorns6506 I know that bro lol
It's a shame that the closest thing we ever got to a 3 Stacks album was "The Love Below". I would've loved an Andre solo discography
DOOM's discography isn't perfect. To say that his discog is perfect means that each and every album of his is a 10.
MF DOOM is my GOAT Rhymer 🐐
Top 1, dead or alive, and even I wouldn't grade his albums a 10
Keep ‘em coming!
I like that bishop nehru album
Love these
I Give A Philthy Rich A 5
Yo do one for Elzhi!
DOOM all 10's.
Do El-p next!!
I Give Lil Tjay A 5
Shoutout to Beezy430 Don't forget it!
I Give 600 Breezy A Zero Or A 1
Can you please do a report card to Awesome Pop Smoke
Thank you
This is gonna be must see viewing if they keep these going in 2023
I Give Messy Marv a ZERO
They ain even mention the king geedorah and viktor vaughn albums or they barely did
Scarface reported card
Seein' a lot of people in the comments leaving the caps off the mans name. DOOM
Zero respect
He's not Mf Doom, nor MF Doom, he's MF DOOM
This series is amazing, but it needs some fine-tuning. Some of the categories can be combined (originality and innovation... presence and x-factor) and y'all need to add a category that encompasses lyrics or wordplay.
They don’t need to be combined but just better defined imo
DOOM doesn't have a bad album, but he does has a mid for DOOM album. That Nehru album is kinda boring
I don't truthfully categorize that album as an MF DOOM album per say. More of a production for Bishop. And he's more of a feature when he raps on the album.
That said, it does count in the Discog and I agree with you
MESSY MARV ZERO F Minus
I Give Bun B A 9
I Give J Cole A 8
Beezy "10" 30 💀
I Give Plies A 9
Hope ya'll do Lupe soon!
Ice Cold Take: MF Doom is a better rapper than Jay period. Anyone who says otherwise is being a stan. People just get weird about admitting it because Jay is held on such a pedestal.
Feefo was right about dooms flow tho, Dooms flow is not smooth, biggies flow was smooth. But that’s what I love about Doom. Often he raps offbeat but only in a way he can. There have been smooth performances from doom, but that’s not the standard. Dooms flow is intentionally off the beat and path.
I've always thought DOOMs flow was one of his weaker aspects but his delivery is dope. That's why I believe people say his flow is dope, just my opinion, not saying I'm right.
I don't subscribe to the breakdowns where they use different colors and do the whole "see this, look at that, this word connects here, that word.."
I believe MF DOOM's got a killer flow while overstanding that it's not for everyone.
Ken's face!
I Give Kanye West a 8
Perfect score
Also versaility? Bruh viktor vaughan?????
Love these report cards!
Pop Smoke Sexual lyrics on Woo Baby I give Pop Smoke a 6
