Wassup guys we're back with another bracket! This time around we're tackling some of Hip-Hops best Group & Duo Debut Albums! Make sure to send us yours via social! LINK: www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/p25sn79nmp7byx7kia01l/DEHH-GroupDebut-Bracket.PNG?rlkey=clis1gr88e4twddoph4erdl0s&dl=0
in terms of content and how diverse it is, yes, all these brackets, odd fridays, etc keep the channel fresh but i think they also became a lil bit more “lazy” with their reviews. Thats where i think theyre lacking currently. Years ago, their reviews were entertaining and fun all the way through and it didnt matter if that was their only content cause it was enjoyable So i agree they got better with other type of content but their reviews became worse imo
Its their best content and the most algorithm friendly content. In time it will elevate everyone as a whole, not just myke who stands out the most. Just my opinion.
That is what I was saying. A few of these even though are considered “debuts” as groups were around way before as solo artists. I consider debuts as “New on the scene, never heard before” groups. EL-P x Killer Mike (RTJ). Madlib x MF DOOM (Madvillainy), Hiero (Souls of Mischief, DEL, Casual, Pep), and Exile (Emanon) all had music prior.
Bruh, Feefo not listening to some of these albums in Full or at all while Myke calls him out on it is one of the main reasons why these bracket videos are my favorite segments on this channel 🤣
Real talk, I kept hearing ya'll show love to that Blu & Exile album so I had to see for myself and DAMN, I'm not even half way through and this shit is amazing
This is awesome, bless! Enta Da Stage is such an underrated album; should get more credit for being one of the first with that dark and gritty NYC boom-bap style, even predating 36 Chambers
Not only one of the best hip-hop albums, but also one of the most important! As you said, the gritty production and new style flow were founded here. Lots of great remixes came from it too! Anyone curious please check remixes of I Got Cha Opin' and Buck Em Down.
It only came out a month before. And the fact that this was a compilation album/group project to introduce them and then a lot of the 1st solo releases makes this even more monumental. What RZA did for them was crazy. Everyone got a shot
36 Chambers is still the only album I can remember being in The Source magazine's heavy rotation list for like 2 1/2 years straight. Album came out during my freshman year of high school and I was still playing it regularly freshman year of college. You can't really overstate its impact.
Something about New York being the final 2 albums in the bracket feels right in my soul. Tho the south took the crown and ran for a long time I must admit, this signifies what New York did in its golden era & it didn’t disappoint all these years later 🗽
@@JEStheUniversualoh, I meant maybe for them it would be a Rumble. For me, it's "Cold Vein". That album's production plus Mega and Vast Aire's lyrics?!? My GOD
@@PontFlair Indeed, it definitely would make a better debate then 3rd Eye Vision. I love that album but it doesn't touch Cold Vein, not even close. I'm very surprised that Myke even choose it.
Lmaooooo bro put Comin out Hard next to Too Hard to Swallow 💀💀 I love both of those albums I have the latter on vinyl, can’t find any 8ball & MJG vinyls for the life of me except the last album. But I never even really thought the titles were that sus until you put ‘em next to each other and say it aloud like that 😭
This was a great bracket...feefo star of the show for that madvillainy vs funcrusher plus pick and defending his love for below the heavens.... hilarious 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love this video concept, when all those march madness brackets first happened in hip hop a few years ago I remember being disappointed they didn’t seem to come back the following years. So it’s cool to see them make a return, tho I definitely have an issue with some of the matchups bc neither Madvillainy or Mystic Stylez deserves to go in the first round, those are literally like 2 of the top 5 most influential albums on modern Hip Hop. Joey, Earl, Tyler, STEEZ, Roc Marci, pretty much anyone in that vein cites DOOM as their biggest inspiration. But Three 6 pretty much completely birthed the 2010s darker SoundCloud era along with Bone Thugs and DJ Screw. They’re easily the biggest inspiration for guys like Lil Ugly Mane, Suicideboys and Denzel Curry.
*@ALexander-ue3kj* not really. Rakim Allah was a game-changer. Anyone who knows hip-hop or follows it will tell you the same. Rakim was a changing of the guard at that time.
It's funny with Group albums I often like their 2nd albums better (Ex: "The Infamous", "Follow The Leader", "The Low End Theory", "Step into the Arena", "Black Sunday", "The Score", "Do you want more?", "ATLiens", and "RTJ 2".)
im eleven minutes in and i thought outkast was taking it all the way.........im not sure how this will end now lol......caz there is an old dead end vid where (possibly caz theyre from Atlanta) that their fav group is Outkast
Maybe I need to listen to below the heavens again because it liked it but I never went back.. like idk did blow my mind I was just like “ yup… cool raps
Damn Enta Da Stage is def a classic but Funcrusher like top tier for me, and 3rd eye vision verse cold vein?? What y’all doin here this is way too hard bro 😭 I love that hiero debut so much but cold vein is just too perfect, tbh I’m probably the only hiero fan who’s listened to Full Circle more then the debut 💀💀

Great show!! Keep it going!! Ready for some new album reviews
Naughty by Nature, Mobb Deep, Meth & Red, Gangstarr, Heltah Skeltah, MOP, LOX, Prhyme just off the top.
Organized Konfusion's debut twice as good as all those
We’re currently in the DEHH golden era
12 years in and they're still dropping bangers
in terms of content and how diverse it is, yes, all these brackets, odd fridays, etc keep the channel fresh

@@alejandromarmolejo13they became more professional in reviews even in their criticisms. Just the nature of doing reviews for a while
Like Benny said on Spurs 3, “this a man's world, you at your best when you middle aged”
They never left their prime
These brackets give Beezy life. Most awake I’ve seen him.
😂😂😂
My mission was accomplished in getting them all the most upset that I’ve ever seen 😈
Bro you did it, got me frustrated too
You're on that nose-candy for this post LOL
You had the DEHH guys on the ropes. There were some ROUGH choices in there
You just earned yourself a new subscriber
Well done fam
all these brackets are always instant classic
Celebratory vibes all around
Its their best content and the most algorithm friendly content. In time it will elevate everyone as a whole, not just myke who stands out the most. Just my opinion.
For real
The editor did a very nice job on this. Great video yall
Sonny be lacing DEHH with his editing
The thing about Madvillainy is heads already knew what Doom and Madlib sounded like years prior. The Wu Tang sound came outta nowhere.
Feefo picking Blu & Exile was a wild card for sure.
Bruh, Feefo not listening to some of these albums in Full or at all while Myke calls him out on it is one of the main reasons why these bracket videos are my favorite segments on this channel 🤣
Feefo laugh gets me every time 😂😂😂 sound like your drunk old Cuban uncle
Real talk, I kept hearing ya'll show love to that Blu & Exile album so I had to see for myself and DAMN, I'm not even half way through and this shit is amazing
Hell Hath No Fury is definitely a classic and thier best album
Hell Hath no Fury is Pharrell's greatest work ever. Every beat is next level
Yes
This is awesome, bless! Enta Da Stage is such an underrated album; should get more credit for being one of the first with that dark and gritty NYC boom-bap style, even predating 36 Chambers
Yeah I often say that if it wasn't for 36 Chambers, Boot Camp would've defined the gritty east coast sound.
Not only one of the best hip-hop albums, but also one of the most important! As you said, the gritty production and new style flow were founded here.

What RZA did for them was crazy. Everyone got a shot
The fact it got swept in the first round hurt
@@JamesSmith-ov5um... Funcrusher plus album was no where near enta tha stage 😎

I'm just happy you guys turned me on to that Blu & Exile album. Made my week.
love the 2 records it came down to, that’s how it’s supposed to be!
I posted this, but it took the whole team to beat the GOAT Rhymer
R.I.P. MF DOOM
that blu and exile review is a classic!
and so is this bracket 😂. keep them coming.
Below the Heavens was the correct pick 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. Southernplayistic is 3-4 for me of OutKast albums
As always GREAT VIDEO, but man these brackets bring out the absolute best in the crew. NEED MORE BRACKETS !
Oprah watches DEHH!!
18:38 myke turned into a witch 😂😂😂😂
Ken celebrating each Ball & G win is great!
This was probably the most entertaining bracket to date
My top two would be Madvillainy vs Below the Heavens. Both perfect albums.
I love these. I’ll be checking out every album I missed out on. That’s why I dig these brackets.
Another elite video🔥🔥🔥 I was rooting for Below the Heavens
No Dogg Food? Damn
Dead Prez - Let’s Get Free one of the most important albums of all time. F@CTS!!!
Would have been a glitch in the matrix if Enter the Wu-Tang didn't come out on top in the end!
Myke cackling in the back while everyone is fighting over 8 Ball and Blu lol
The right two albums were in the final. And I would have gone 36 as well. Madvillainy impacted Hip Hop. 36 Chambers impacted the world!
Something about New York being the final 2 albums in the bracket feels right in my soul. Tho the south took the crown and ran for a long time I must admit, this signifies what New York did in its golden era & it didn’t disappoint all these years later 🗽
I love Hiero, but over Cold Vein? What!? Absolutely No way in hell.
I feel the same way and I'm a huge Hiero fan.
"Cold Vein" is a f****n classic. That Heiro album has nothing on it. Now, had it been "Deltron 3030" vs "Cold Vein", that might've been a rumble
@@PontFlair I love Deltron 3030 a lot, but not more than Cold Vein. Cold Vein is one of the greatest hip-hop records ever made.
@@JEStheUniversualoh, I meant maybe for them it would be a Rumble. For me, it's "Cold Vein". That album's production plus Mega and Vast Aire's lyrics?!? My GOD

definitely said " that's disrespectful as shit" at 16:25 and then myke said it lol
Rod's face at 16:25 is same as mine half this video 😂

"comin out hard" and "too hard to swallow" are crazy titles to have next to each other lol
Youre childish smh
Got a feeling Clipse going out early. Hope I'm wrong
Great vid! Missed my favorite group project ever,6 feet deep 🙁
Justice for The Cold Vein. 😢
Great Bracket Review Fellas!! That DIGABLE PLANETS Album Is A Highly Slept On Classic!! 💯💯
How in the world did Comin' Out Hard get past Below The Heavens and RTJ? That's crazy!
*24:50* F*** YEAH!! Awesome brackets!!
Edit: I realize this is a spoiler, just avoid my stamp LOL
8:29 was kicking my ass lol. Never change y’all
Hate to be that dude but I can't be the only one still waiting on that new Earl review 😭
Cold vein out first round??? What are we doing???
It was crazy. Especially the album it lost to
Best Group Debut Album: Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers
Best Duo Debut Album: Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik
Fucking love this series. Gotta do sophomore albums next!
Knew it was gonna be 36 chambers as soon as I saw it 🔥
saying kamikaze for Licensed to Ill is a all time Mike quip 😂😂
Spend your weekend taking ALL these amazing albums in
8Ball & MJG for me but I'm definitely not surprised Dehh would have MF and Wu Tang in the finals

Black star slaps paid in full and I was listening to paid in full today
It's tough though bc you gotta give Rakim Allah his due. That album changed things. People started getting lyrical after that
*@ALexander-ue3kj* not really. Rakim Allah was a game-changer. Anyone who knows hip-hop or follows it will tell you the same. Rakim was a changing of the guard at that time.

36 Chambers just has to be the winner in a bracket like this tbh
Below The Heavens is fucking FLAWLESS
everyone picking funcrusher made me happy af even tho i wouldve said Enta Da Stage
These are always fun even if it's weird how hard everyone was riding for the third best Tribe album.
Ball and G rightfully so. Thank you dehh for southern representation. Not everyone knows bout the Saaaahtth
MADVILLIANY!!
You guys got the finals right. Good job.
Brackets have quickly become my favorite DEHH series. Y’all have really been killing it lately, fuck yeah and thank you
Meth/Red - Blackout was a big miss here.
The brackets are my favorite thing in awhile
Myke the Kid C Town back again!!! 🤟🏽💯
DEHH putting out that Jordan three-peat type content
GOD DAMN I LOVE YA’ll please keep it up with the uploads
This is an evil bracket bro 😂
myke laughing like speedy gonzalez while feefo justifying his blu pick
Yall should do sophomore albums next - Label Albums (albums from artists in Young Money, Def Jam, TDE etc)
How Rod look like Ghostface and pick 8ball over 36 chambers?
No way Ken picked Yo Bum Rush the Show 😭 they hadn’t even found their sound yet
These DEHH brackets are too damn good
Bruh. I went with Madvillainy for the end but this was an amazing bracket honestly.
no reflection eternal?
im eleven minutes in and i thought outkast was taking it all the way.........im not sure how this will end now lol......caz there is an old dead end vid where (possibly caz theyre from Atlanta) that their fav group is Outkast
So happy to watch these❤
bruh idk about that blackstar losing to paid in full...
Y’all got it right with this one. Wu Tang 36 Chambers all day!
I really like who ended up being in the finals. 36 should be an obvious choice, but it's hard to argue the other albums are better than Madvilliany.
Forreal
Plz continue to use the FF 7 fanfare music in these videos! Plz!
Creepin On Ah Come Up by Bone Thugs N Harmony should have definitely been in this bracket in my opinion.
36 chambers is without a doubt the greatest Group Debut of all time no debate yall got it right
Soul Food got robbed!!!
Soul food is better than straight outta Compton
I agree
THANK YOU!!!
Those first three songs carry Straight Outta Compton so hard it's not even funny. Soul Food clears.
i gotta say madvillainy but seeing Mystic Stylez ousted so easily hurts
My heart sunk to my stomach, I can't believe y'all let Rakim down..
NWA or Wu for me, I listened to them way more than anybody else in those brackets.
Let’s Get Free beating Lord Willin was the highlight of this vid!
Maybe I need to listen to below the heavens again because it liked it but I never went back.. like idk did blow my mind I was just like “ yup… cool raps
Damn y’all did Soul Food dirty
Love these bracket videos
Love these
Damn Enta Da Stage is def a classic but Funcrusher like top tier for me, and 3rd eye vision verse cold vein?? What y’all doin here this is way too hard bro 😭 I love that hiero debut so much but cold vein is just too perfect, tbh I’m probably the only hiero fan who’s listened to Full Circle more then the debut 💀💀
I'm just happy to see 8Ball and MJG get their love and make it to the semi finals
Except for the eventual winner, all of my top 5 on this bracket lost on the first round. dayum
Great video. Keep the brackets coming. (p.s. Dogg Food is better than every album on this list.)
I’m too star⚡️trak studdedly bias to be objective 🖖🏿
Dogg Food should definitely be on here
