I put one in once cuz I put it in, got my chips then typed in an old vending machine hack that lets me still get the change return so I'd get a bag of chips plus 3 quarters back and the dollar coin and I did like 12 times before the coin was lost in the machine but I had like 6 $ in quarters

I had a Sacagawea gold dollar, regular, and used it for lunch money when I was in grade school.
I remember a long time ago during the early 2010’s that I held and used (for the first and only time) the one dollar glided coin at a vending machine inside an airport.
I was just a kid, and my ignorant mother (the one that handed the coin to me) did nothing about it :(
I had the no.1 coin in my treasure coins collection, yes proud i had one.
I remember one time in school, during recess I found a coin in a small crack. Thing about it is, is that it was from Mexico. I lived in the US. I tried to keep it for as long as I could, but I lost it. :(

Why are the newer coins struck in such low numbers (like the 4 known 1999 Susan B. Anthony strikes on a Sacagawea planchet) so much cheaper as far as value than the older coins that are just as scarce? Thanks for all of the great info!!

Dalton Thomas...thanks for replying.The Sacagawea that I have is with the lady and the baby on the front and the eagle on the back chocolate on the front and gold shiny on the back with a chocolate trim around the edges 2000 D... it's such a beautiful card I've heard and looked up some of the experimental rinse is that we're done and think this may definitely fall in that category.

Hi Dustin. I got two things for you. First I have two Washington Quarters. A 1973 and 1974 with the D mint mark but, one mark is offset to the left and the other to the right. Also, I have a 1960's copper penny and it has a rainbow-like hue to it. Are these keepers?

We just found a cool coin buried in the ground. I believe it's from Spain. The front says "the pride of Spain humbled by adversion" and there's 3 men. The back of the coin says "they took Carthagena April 1741" and has 5 ships. I have a John Tyler dollar coin but I can't find any date on it.
