As a relatively new hypmic fan I wanted to say thank you for making these videos! They’re really helping me get into the world and story of hypmic!

I’m new to hypmic and when i heard the word ‘clone’ i was like
“WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK”
nonetheless he has very interesting lore
I was happy with the Hanabi mention since not everyone knows about them:D! I'm always scared to see Ramuda analysis since I have very concrete views on him so "what if this person disagrees with me??!" but I loved what I watched, I love how Ramuda used to try really hard to separate himself from humanity, by saying things like "he'll kill all humans" etc, yet hearing someone say that is what can hurt him the most
About the connection with fashion and self-identity/originality, I like how to a extent all posse members have something to do with that, with Gentaro clothes not even being his own and how important they are to him, and how Dice arguably probably only recently gets to wear whatever he wants (I don't think he cares that much about clothes as the other two but still)
And I love hypmic parallels so much, so much thought was put on all those characters, besides Jakurai there's also how Gentaro would superficially resemble Jakurai (polite, smart, """"""calm""""""", try to pry on what Ramuda is hiding) but him and Ramuda are actually very similar (that's why they have mini conflicts, with Ramuda threatening Gentaro and all, and it's very special to me how this was shown on stage on Track 2 Gen having a solo about how Ramuda is hiding something and maybe he'll never open up to him and Dice, to on FPvsMTC him having a solo how his genuine affection for Ramuda has surpassed his curiosity and now he only wishes to see him well
I love Hanabi! I thought he was a great fit for Ramuda's backstory. I totally agree with fashion being relevant to all of Fling Posse. I wish we had a concrete answer for why Gentaro's clothes are so precious to him. (Though it's a safe bet it has to do with his brother.) Gentaro definitely knows something is up with Ramuda very early on, and it makes their dynamic really interesting. And his stage actor's performance really kicks things up a notch in the musicals. I love hearing other people's thoughts on these characters! This is exactly the kind of responses I hoped these videos would get. Thank you!
This was such a great video! Made me appreciate the lore and inspiration behind the whole design of the series more.
I didn't really like Ramuda when I finished the anime, but then I read some of the manga, found out he was a freaking clone and was very intrigued because I found his relationship with Jakurai very interesting and tragic. Also, the other members of the team were so deeper in the manga so it elevated the team dynamics for me.
I really wish all of the manga is available in English because the little I read is really good.
Yeah, anime Fling Posse is lackluster but it only makes the twists have more impact once you find out about their real deal.
You have no clue how happy this video makes me. I’m not caught up with Hypmic lore because I can’t read Japanese and the only person I can understand is Gentaro if I put each screenshot into Google translate so these videos are really helping me understand the characters and lore of the story more. Like, I used to hate Ramuda with a passion but now it’s like “damn that’s rough buddy”
echoing other commenters, i was a bit skeptical based on just the title (mostly bc i have trust issues & a lot of thoughts+opinions about ramuda) but this was excellently done, i really appreciate going the extra step to describe design inspirations! i am also hoping you go on to do more, but i also just admire the depth you’ve gone to in the existing videos already. really really well done!!!

Where would I be able to listen to Birthday? It’s only giving me the birthday lines from the game when I look it up
Technically Birthday was bundled with the 2nd volume of the Dawn of Divisions manga as an exclusive bonus. However if you add "duet" to your search you may find what you are looking for. Since the first batch of manga exclusive tracks were eventually added to spotify, hopefully that has set a precedent for more in the future.
