I’m not going to lie, I’m an emotional person when it comes to my faith! My father and mother were the best parents a son could have. My dad passed away first in 1993 at 60 years of age!!! I haven’t had such a wonderful, painful, loving cry since then!!! Thank you all so much for bringing the Bible to life!!!❤❤❤

My favorite episode of season 4! 😭😭😭 When Mary of Bethany bought the perfume until the end of the episode, I couldn't stop crying! I kept thinking about how much I Love Jesus for Saving me! I've known Him for many years! However, watching The Chosen has made the relationships He must have had with the disciples and His followers SO MUCH MORE REAL! I kept crying and telling Jesus how Blessed they were to know Him in PERSON! I mean they got to Worship Him in PERSON! Looking forward to the day when I bow at His feet and ADORE HIM LIKE Mary of Bethany got to do! ✝️😭😭😭🙌🙌🙌❣️❣️❣️

My favorite scene was "Matthew" and "Zee" providing the donkey. I have always wondered how on earth they got permission to take it away! This scene gives a plausible explanation to that.
The Chosen is so so well done, and it has layers and layers of depth and meaning ♡
That's because the Bible has layers and layers of meaning!
Jesus said "Only a few will understand."
Not only did Jesus (God the son) plan for the man to gladly let them use the donkey but he also specifically chose them to say those words to that man so that he would in turn go and notify everyone of Jesus arrival thus everyone unknowingly welcoming him as the king and the savior thus fulfilling Zechariah9:9
“Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”

In I Kings chapter 1, The elderly King David makes the request that his young son, Solomon ( he was 18-19 at the time) be anointed King of Israel, mounted on David's mule and led into the city of Jerusalem... Jesus was the Son of David, Son of Man, Son of God.. We are blest to see His day.

A catholic priest 42 years so thankful for this season four. I see myself as Judas not understanding the will of God and seeking my own will. Love the scene where Mary is so generous with Christ. You help me a lot to get closer to the person of Jesus Christ. May God bless you and give you strength to finish your great work.

As a catholic myself , I had the same thought : too often we want to do our own will , we don't trust God enough .
The anguish Jesus felt made my ❤ weep for Him. Knowing what Jesus did for me, overwhelms me at times. Thinking about the cross and what Jesus went through for my sin, I’m so grateful for His love and allowing me salvation. My walk with Him has increased daily. He also spared my life in 2021 from Covid and being on a vent. He breathed life into my lungs! He still has a purpose for my life! Thank you Dallas Jenkins for your knowledge of God ‘s Word. I am waiting for the sound of the Trumpet!

My heart broke for Shmuel. So close, but he couldn't let go of tradition and dogma.
For the first time, I was truly angry with Judas & his actions during Mary's anointing.
And then the conspiring begins.
Judas will always be around us, stay in faith forever.

Good to see The Chosen inserted a bit about the plot to kill Lazarus. The early Christian tradition mentioned there was a plot to kill him. It forced him to flee from Judea with his sisters after Jesus' death & resurrection.
I didn't know that about Lazarus. That's new information for me.

I can’t imagine how Mary must have felt, to know what was going to happen to her son. My heart aches to think of losing any of my sons, how she endured watching her son suffer and die for us was more than I can comprehend. I know Jesus was the son of God, but she was his earthly mother. 🙏🏽
Having lost a son, of course, my son was not divine, not the Savior, he did not die for anyone, but to me he was the the most precious boy, ever, but I was absolutely convinced she was the only being in the history of the world that could understand how I felt to be alone without him. And even though I was angry at first, Jesus and his mother carried me through that fire to the other side. And I learned anger and hate only harm the host not the object of their anger and hatred.

And now she is our Mother in heaven. She prays to her son and hears our prayers and intercedes for us to Him. She has been given glory and the power to protect us, pray to her too, Jesus loved her, our worship is to God always but we can ask for her prayers to Him.
@MartinaStC I get your sentiment but Mary can't hear your prayers because she's not God. When we have faith in God and pray to the Father in the name of Jesus, our prayers get answered. There's no way Mary can hear you because she's not omnipotent nor omniscience. Jesus is the only intercessory we have because He's also our High Priest and Chief Priest and His blood was the one that was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. I pray you get my explanation.The only way to God's heart is to honour His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. God bless you always.❤
@@ruffyg5394 Bless you too. How do you know the mother of Jesus, Mary can't hear our prayers and requests? She was choosen as the mother of Jesus and He loved her. Wouldn't He and God the father listen to her and consider her requests? I agree she's not omnipetent, only God is but she can intercede by passing on our requests for us to God like a second prayer request. She's in heaven with her Son and knows Jesus. He listened to her at Cana, why not now too for us?
I’m a 53 year old mostly homebound disabled woman. I was so moved by the chosen series, and was comforted by the exchange between little James and Jesus about his disability and why Jesus continued to heal while not choosing to heal little James. I cried and cried during this episode. . Jonathan as Jesus, has spoken to my heart and reminded me that God will never abandon me. I have binged all the seasons in the last 4 days . I’m starting over to take in the episodes more meaningfully in prayer. I have recently returned to my faith after 9 years of a dark night of the soul. Thank you! Thank you! God bless you all. I am scared of Season 5. This Season almost killed me emotionally. This show reminds me of how unworthy i am of Jesus's grace.

Shirts causing comments-I’ve mostly had really positive experiences. Wearing my “Bing Jesus” shirt as I was traveling via airports, in line after a delayed flight caused connection issues, I was approached by a “spicy” Irishman that had an almost violent negative reaction, both to The Chosen and to the Catholic Church. I couldn’t get a word in edgewise to get him to stop. I was in a wheelchair. I still pray for him because there was definitely something demonic about his “righteous” indignation.
Best thing though-that same shirt later that day at that same airport initiated a really beautiful conversation where I got to encourage a young man to continue to allow Jesus to pursue him, and to really investigate if Jesus really is who he said he is. I also pray for him.

Sheer perfection. My favorite scene was when Jesus asked Schmuel what he envisioned the Messiah to be and do. Schmuel's joyful face describing the glory of the Davidic Kingdom and all that would follow after was so poignant. And then Jesus' revealing the truth and Schmuel's confusion over "the least of these" and the transition to "depart from me, I never knew you" to his final shock and disgust over Mary's beautiful devotion. Wow. Just wow. Jesus' eyes brimming with tears (Jonathan does that so well). Mary's ecstatic sobbing as she worships Jesus with the nard. Schmuel's total rejection of Jesus when he was so close to believing. Also, the scene between Jesus' mother Mary and Himself. 😭😭😭 I love The Chosen! I'm a born-again mature Christian, never married, no kids, with bipolar disorder. I have 5 beautiful Christian Sistas, and we love each other, support each other, just like disciples helping each other, especially Peter, and Thomas this season. I love The Chosen. I'm a movie buff, and if I weren't so tired, I would try to describe how each cast member has helped me see and experience Jesus and the Bible in ways that have helped me heal, on so many levels. Also, thank you for introducing Rick? Nick? The ComeAndSee Disney Studios retiree who is developing the local translations. God bless that man. God bless you all. The Finale was incredible‼️

One of my most favorite scripture references. We should all be asking ourselves that question. There is no other way. 🙏❤️
John 6:68-69, this verse stands well by itself, but must be read in the context of ch 6 to fully appreciate it's gravity. Jesus talk of eating His flesh and drinking his blood was actually the "hard saying" (another quote placed differently in episode 8), that made many disciples leave and not come back. So glad they included these verses, but also critical to understand where they are placed in the bible and their relevance to the eucharistic.
@@kenifumi2447 yeah I am kind of disapointed that they are not portraying the shock of the followers and how many left. Let's hope the Last Supper makes up for it. The eucharist is everything! To the Roman church Ignatius writes, “I want the bread of God, which is the flesh of Christ who is of the seed of David; and for drink I want his blood, which is incorruptible love” (Romans 7.3).
@@juncatv Yes, The Last Supper is the big one I hope they get right. The other being Peter's denial of the cross. The true presance in the Eucharist and the cross(Matthew16:21-24) were two big stumbling blocks at the time and still are today.
Just brilliant. "I loved you as my own" before riding towards His sacrifice... And clearly God's hand is upon all of you and this production.

and she knew it. They were prepared. There is a book, "Anna, Grandmother of Jesus" that helped me make sense of how she felt. Reading this book, and then seeing this movie made it make sense. The unanswered side. I am glad for this movie.

*The Chosen* seriously couldn’t have come into my life at a better time. I am so thankful for this show. It truly has cemented my relationship with Jesus Christ, and while I dread about what’s to come in the upcoming seasons, I know it will leave an impact that will move mountains. Amen 🙏

I have been brought up as a conservative Jew... the show has brought about questions. I somehow have this odd feeling that because the Jews were looking for a military Messiah to come down at this time to free them of the Romans and give them peace and that's not what Jesus is here to do he has peaceful revolution that he's starting and I always wonder if after the first book of Genesis the Old testament that the Jewish people believe in and I know that Christian Catholic people believe in it as well if this was the second book the next chapter or maybe the next book of the Old testament... should the Jews have believed that Jesus was the Messiah ? I teeter totter with a hidden view of the possibility. I don't know how to feel. I will always be that conservative Jew and follow in the Old testament and I don't know what to do with this but it has touched me in ways of thought.... questions ....looking for answers of why Jews didn't accept him ...I know their fears at that time that the Pharisees would possibly be abolished or that Judaism would be no longer but Jesus was not looking to diminish Jewish law it seems that he just wanted to make it easier and bring down the word of what God really wanted the Jews to do with this information and to not take every single word of the 613 laws so seriously but to understand it in the way that it was given ...I don't know I'm confused ...but completely intrigued and love the story.. I feel like the rabbis of the Jewish people would look at me as if I'm flawed for thinking this way

I was stricken when Jesus uttered words for Mary of Bethany’s act.. I felt a self realization of being so sinful and sent me to ask forgiveness for what i’ve done.. to God be the Glory.. in Jesus name…🙏

This is a fine finale. Can't wait for season 5, whenever it is.
Some tidbits I like from this episode:
- Nice overview of the Passover by King David, but did he really had a son named Daniel?
- The Sanhedrin people are getting more delirious by the miracles, and no wonder Rabbi Shmuel and Yussif felt very disappointed in them.
-I'm glad Preator Gaius is in really good terms with Jesus' followers' loved ones, he even took the time to show off his understanding of Jewish tradition.
-Apparently Far East people set up shop in Israel. That perfume vendor is visibly an Oriental woman. (I'm not making fun of the actor, just surprised is all)
-The main Romans (Pilate, Herod and Chuza) are finally taking slight notice about Jesus
- "First time doing a Pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Never seen it before."
"I wonder why..."
Funniest joke to me.
-Shmuel got so close to believe in Jesus, but his 'devotion' to the letters of the Law kept him from truly understanding who Jesus is. At least his colleagues are a lot more understanding.
-This episode shows how crowds in Jerusalem knows of Jesus' arrival, gives a bit more background.
-Poor James and John feeling guilty about eating delicious cinammon cakes made other than their mom...
-Apparently Joanna ditched her cheating husband and blatantly distributed palm leaves to the masses. Points for boldness, I guess.
-The last scene where Jesus enters Jerusalem riding the colt with His Disciples, His friends and their loved ones...goosebumps.

Every time I see Mary, His mother, I can’t help but start crying. Thank you Vanessa Benavente for doing such a great acting job portraying this part. I just can’t imagine how hard it must be to play such a part and how hard it must have been for the actual Mary knowing what’s coming.
That part had to be heart wrenching and knowing he couldn't stop it but "could".
I have loved every minute of the Chosen! It has impacted my spiritual closeness to Jesus in ways I never expected . God bless you Dallas! ❤

Rama’s death is pivotal for the story. It causes her father’s anger and rejection of Jesus and cause him to rally others to reject him. I believe Rama’s Father will encourage the crowd to choose Barabbas to be freed instead of the Lord
I cried over many scenes but this series I know is getting closer to the end. People say tears are prays and oh have I been having them. I guess mine have finally been answered. My son is getting the help that is needed. I hope he finds himself and is healed. Thank you Lord and God bless all Amen

I think this was my favourite episode of the season. Just cried over Mary purchasing the perfume and pouring it on Jesus's feet...we really saw the wonderful extravagance of it and what a beautiful outpouring of love it was from the heart..
Loved seeing the drama of how Smuel took offence at this act..and Judas too.
....I cried over the bridle..just loved the significance of it.
I loved the story of the colt and cried at Jesus setting His face towards Jerusalem.
Loved the humour..Matthews line about borrowing a borro !
All of it was wonderful. Joanna finally leaving to become a full time disciple was very emotional too..

Well, first time watching all the way through to the end of the live broadcast. The end with Imed... and the whole translation project into 600 languages was very powerful to watch.
In minute 2:16:44 Dallas said that Our Lord didn't know every thing will happen in the future, but this is not right because in Gospel of John said that Jesus was knowing everything and everybody's thoughts

season 4 was EXCELLENT!!! Loved it so much. Had to listen to the pharisee conversations a dozen times to catch everything even tho it was not a complicated conversation. I cant believe we have to wait a whole year for the PassOver week. Oh no.
I know the scene in temple with Pharisees throwing stones at Jesus wasnt funny but i laughed so hard, beginning with the one who wasnt gonna miss him again. It was good to see Jesus let loose on them and enraging them. I feel like Ive been waiting for Jesus to rebuke them sharply for ages. It was so fun to watch - it was funny. Well done everyone. Fantastic job to all. thank you for a truly incredible season.

You asked what was my favorite scene. How can I ever choose? Tonight, the one I chose is the scene of Mary, the sister of Lazarus and Martha who goes to the sacred oils shop and will not take anything less than the most treasured, the finest Spikenard, comes back, in tears, only focused on Lord Jesus and what she can do to prepare Him because she knows what’s coming. Dropping to her knees, anointing him with the deepest devotion. This is the highest gift of love, and it’s played out beautifully. I am too in tears. As I watch, I listen with my heart each time. I watch The Chosen often. I have been with you for several years by now. I truly feel the Holy Spirit. I listen with my heart and in between the lines are many teachings. Like millions of us, I devote myself to Lord Jesus. Thank you to the entire cast, Jonathan, you honor our dear Lord, to the writers, and to you, Dallas to everyone who makes this movement possible. ❤❤❤

The Chosen has changed my life. It has shown me not only Jesus’ divinity but his humanity. I love 💕 when he gets such joy out of doing miracles. When he cried before he resurrected Lazarus it broke my heart. He got hungry, tired, frustrated and he felt such sadness and grief at times.

I find all of the scenes so emotional. Obviously one has to read the Bible to see the proper context. But I love how you are showing what could possibly have transpired when the characters communicated with one another. How would one of the characters have interacted with another person. What might their reactions have been to the different situations that occurred. This is what's so exciting. What were the apostles like, we can't possibly know but you captured each person so beautifully. It's easy for me to close my eyes and imagine I am there in those moments.
I’m a firm believer in Jesus. His face first appeared to me and my family on my little sisters Easter egg that she still has till this day when I was 7. I didn’t know who it was until the same face appeared to me and my mom in the clouds when I was 16. He showed me the way and still is till this day. People go morally blind because of their love for money, watch when it’s time for their empires to collapse because the foundations all consisted of lies and deception…. I’m only ✝️elling ✝️he ✝️ruth
