I think it would be very difficult to portray Jesus Christ. Jonathan, being human, cannot be divine. I honestly believe he will be inspired and carried through by the Holy Spirit and will give the best performance he can possibly do. He will have 100s, if not 1000s, praying for him to remain in good health (physically, mentally, and spiritually) to be able to do his best. He’s been amazing up to this point (release of S4) so no reason to believe it would be any different now. I pray for them daily, the physical work, the time, but also the family from being in a production like that. I pray for them daily and have to watch with tissues. I can only guess at how consuming it is, but I can always pray. They have been a great part of my life and growth as a Christian.
My husband listened to Ben Shapiro last year, right after I watched "After Death", I have always been interested in what happens after we die, that threw me right into "The Chosen" because Ben Shapiro spoke about it. I fell in love with Jesus. Got baptized in March 17th 2024. One of the best decisions I've ever made.
I have watched season 1 thru 4 3 times so far, and I am not ashamed to say that I have had tears in my eyes EVERY episode EVERY time! Such an emotional ride to be immersed in! Praise God for blessing us with this journey, and blessing me with the opportunity to witness it. Th Chosen has brought to life right from the pages of the greatest Book ever written!
My heart is stirred to see his love for Jesus. He's not playing the role like any professional actor. He is playing it as a friend in love with jesus, journeying with him. May our loving Father protect him.🙏

Pay close attention to when Jesus says to Nicodemus you must be born again to see the kingdom of God. Say the sinners prayer. Dear Jesus, I'm a sinner. I ask you to forgive me of my sins come into my life and live. And when I die, I ask you for a home in Heaven. In Jesus' name, I pray amen.
When they torture and execute Jesus in that show …. Those emotions you feel in that moment … remember your sins are what put him there. When you accept the remorse for your role in the death of Jesus it will bring you to tears every time you have communion and ask for his mercy

The Lord clearly works through Jonathan's performance. Experiencing the passion through The Chosen is going to be gut wrenching, especially knowing these characters for years and also watching Jonathan's journey. He has obviously gone deeper and deeper with Christ as the seasons pass. So powerful on screen and off in his evangelization.
For 12 years of my life, I went to Catholic school. First class was religion. Was baptized as a Roman Catholic. Watching The Chosen has open my eyes, mind and heart for the first time in a long time. I feel different in a good way. Thank you.
I also went through the Catholic 12- a cradle Catholic. I have never known Jesus like I know him now. I’ve watched The Chosen 5 times through now. I try to imagine myself in their shoes not knowing what is to occur. I see something new every time. And I cry because I do know. If Jonathan Roumie is never able to play any other character as an actor he needs to understand that this is what he was born to do, bring people all over the world to Jesus. He has done it masterfully led by his faith to strengthen ours.
I'm nervous. I don't want it to be super gory like Mel Gibson's portrayal. Yes it was violent. I get it. But if it's too violent in imagery I'll fast forward it. God bless 🙏

But I've most definitely thought of the deep, far reaching psychological impact this must have on the actors. No way they haven't been affected. Especially Jonathan. I know as a spectator/fan, I've been messed up by certain scenes for entire days sometimes a few on end. I had to pray and take naps because I was exhausted from crying. Like when Ramah (Yasmine Al-Bustami) was killed. Boy oh boy I was fit to be tied!! Angry, angry. I was messed up all day and just as mad with Jesus as Thomas was, for not saving her. I refused to watch the next episode for almost a week. Then I got over myself... 😂Or the Lazarus scene. I felt such a deep kinship to Thomas (Joey Vahedi)... I was just as mad as he was watching the Lazarus scenes. I cried so much throughout these 4 seasons. Both happy and sad. But Ramah!? Her father? Thomas? Oh my heart 💔.... . That roughed me up, alot. I grew up catholic but never took time to read the Bible. The Chosen has made me want to read the Bible and really understand. While the Chosen has taken some artistic liberties, It brought Jesus to life as a person and made many of us now lean into our faith!

I've read the New Testament over and over again. Through my fault, I would picture Jesus as being stern and serious all the time. The Chosen has made me realize that Jesus did laugh, He did sing and have a good time with his friends. Thank you for opening my eyes about Jesus a little bit to see His human side a little more.

When I started watching your show, it has brought me to my knees. It is exactly what I have been looking for and needed. I am now converting to Catholic and could not be more excited about this. Season 4, I had to take breaks from watching, it got to my heart so much I would just cry. I am looking forward more seasons but I know I will need a tissue box and lost of breaks! It's beautiful. The story line with Thomas really hit me as I lost my brother in May and the grief and questioning really hit me. I think it's amazing and am rewatching it all
I'm dreading seeing the crucifixion, it's going to break my heart. I've found no place for myself with regards to faith. Where do I belong, CofE, Catholic, orthodox? for many years, I've been curious about God after pulling away after Sunday school as a child. I started first by wanting holy water and to own a bible, which I never read. I just had them next to my bed. I started to watch the chosen, and I was so inspired to learn who jesus is. I picked up my bible, which confused me, so I then purchased an NIV version, and I'm totally hooked. I'm reading the New Testament first as I want to build an affinity with jesus. It's seems I was guided to do this. I think I know my place now, my place is everywhere and nowhere as long as I have a relationship with jesus that's all that matters, it doesn't matter what church I go to, what group I'm apart of, it doesn't matter, what matters is jesus and I together. I feel so blessed to have been guided by the chosen and inspired to find my faith. I believe God chose this man to portray jesus to find people like me, lost souls, so we find our way to the light.

I am 77 yrs old. I have seen a lot of Bible stories in my lifetime. This is the VERY BEST because it shows Jesus in his humanity. He laughed, he joked, he teased, he lived a life like all of us do. I was raised Catholic, I left that denomination years ago and all I wish to say, in revealing this, is that I have learned that Jesus didn't come to start a denomination. He came to show us how to love and forgive. He gave us examples of walking holy and perfect without the manmade idolatry and works. He gave us a perfect salvation through Him and only Him. Our rituals, works and prayers to the dead are worthless. Pray as Jesus taught us to pray, to our Heavenly Father, for it is His Will that we seak. God bless everyone and stay safe always ❤️ 🙏

I'm thoroughly looking forward to watching season 5 of The Chosen. Always believed in God, but that was it. No prayers, no repentance. Now, after watching the show, halfway through the New Testament. I prayed every evening, repented my sins, and for the first time in a long time, I feel more at peace rather than the chaos of depression, anxiety and bitterness. This show was the singular reason why I have become a dedicated christian and now have a peace that was invisible to me before. Thank you to the creators, the writers and above all the actors that portrayed the life story and teachings of Jesus in such a way, I returned to God.

The fact that Jesus went through torture , to the point that his own mom couldn't recognize him. Pierced and hung up on a cross for me . Beat the grave and promises to meet me in the sky. Blows my mind . He still loves me, enough to forgive me of my sin .save me and give me a home in Heaven. Wow. One day, my faith will be sight. Still is mind-blowing.
I KNOW that the Lord brought the Chosen into my life at a critical time in my faith! Between the pandemic and the political issues of social justice for this African American Christian woman, I wrestled with cynicism about the American church, resulting in my challenge to leave my church. That's when I discovered The Chosen and fell more in love with Jesus and the Word of God! The writers and actors are amazing! Jonathan Roumie is anointed and appointed by God for such a time as this to give the world a picture of Christ! What a Spirit-filled brother! God Himself is helping him for sure, and Jonathan is doing a wonderful job! For 12 years of my life, I went to Catholic school. First class was religion. Was baptized as a Roman Catholic. Watching The Chosen has open my eyes, mind and heart for the first time in a long time. I feel different in a good way. Thank you.
I was raised Southern Baptist. Taught the Bible all my life. But the Chosen has drawn me closer to Jesus than all of that
I also went through the Catholic 12- a cradle Catholic. I have never known Jesus like I know him now. I’ve watched The Chosen 5 times through now. I try to imagine myself in their shoes not knowing what is to occur. I see something new every time. And I cry because I do know. If Jonathan Roumie is never able to play any other character as an actor he needs to understand that this is what he was born to do, bring people all over the world to Jesus. He has done it masterfully led by his faith to strengthen ours.

But I've most definitely thought of the deep, far reaching psychological impact this must have on the actors. No way they haven't been affected. Especially Jonathan. I know as a spectator/fan, I've been messed up by certain scenes for entire days sometimes a few on end. I had to pray and take naps because I was exhausted from crying. Like when Ramah (Yasmine Al-Bustami) was killed. Boy oh boy I was fit to be tied!! Angry, angry. I was messed up all day and just as mad with Jesus as Thomas was, for not saving her. I refused to watch the next episode for almost a week. Then I got over myself... 😂Or the Lazarus scene. I felt such a deep kinship to Thomas (Joey Vahedi)... I was just as mad as he was watching the Lazarus scenes. I cried so much throughout these 4 seasons. Both happy and sad. But Ramah!? Her father? Thomas? Oh my heart 💔.... . That roughed me up, alot. I grew up catholic but never took time to read the Bible. The Chosen has made me want to read the Bible and really understand. While the Chosen has taken some artistic liberties,
It brought Jesus to life as a person and made many of us now lean into our faith!

I've read the New Testament over and over again. Through my fault, I would picture Jesus as being stern and serious all the time. The Chosen has made me realize that Jesus did laugh, He did sing and have a good time with his friends. Thank you for opening my eyes about Jesus a little bit to see His human side a little more.

I have been a Christian for 40 years. For all of those 40 years I have been praying for a revival. I have thought a revival will look different than past revivals. Perhaps THE CHOSEN is what the long awaited revival will look like.
This actor demonstrates so much genuine, humility, and grace and thoughtful response; and this interviewer has such a wonderful style and they don’t interrupt one another. You can actually appreciate each side of the conversation. Thank you. I have been a Christian for over 46 years and this has been the best tool to get people to talk about JESUS and then watch the Chosen and I am hoping people come to the LORD through it. I have even had atheist say maybe I will check it out so its great.

I think that the chosen has given a lot of people a door into the Gospels and into Jesus. I am very happy that in 2024 something like this exists. I am also very happy that Jonathan did such a good job at the role in the show.

When I started watching your show, it has brought me to my knees. It is exactly what I have been looking for and needed. I am now converting to Catholic and could not be more excited about this. Season 4, I had to take breaks from watching, it got to my heart so much I would just cry. I am looking forward more seasons but I know I will need a tissue box and lost of breaks!

The Chosen has shattered everything that was taught to me my whole life. Fear God. I’ve fallen in love with Jesus and The Father. I’m no longer afraid.
I heard this from a radio preacher and had a study on the “fear of God”. Fear in God means to reverence to God, not the same as fear man which means beware.
That is how it feels to trust and know God..... you are no longer afraid. How wonderful for you!

The Chosen has been life altering. I'm dreading seeing the crucifixion, it's going to break my heart.
I've found no place for myself with regards to faith. Where do I belong, CofE, Catholic, orthodox? for many years, I've been curious about God after pulling away after Sunday school as a child. I started first by wanting holy water and to own a bible, which I never read. I just had them next to my bed. I started to watch the chosen, and I was so inspired to learn who jesus is. I picked up my bible, which confused me, so I then purchased an NIV version, and I'm totally hooked. I'm reading the New Testament first as I want to build an affinity with jesus. It's seems I was guided to do this.
I think I know my place now, my place is everywhere and nowhere as long as I have a relationship with jesus that's all that matters, it doesn't matter what church I go to, what group I'm apart of, it doesn't matter, what matters is jesus and I together.
I feel so blessed to have been guided by the chosen and inspired to find my faith. I believe God chose this man to portray jesus to find people like me, lost souls, so we find our way to the light.
The chosen changed my life and brought me closer to God.
Myself and husband really enjoyed watching the series at a local church nearby us it was so moving plus informative learnt a lot plus yes my love for Jesus increased
I am 77 yrs old. I have seen a lot of Bible stories in my lifetime. This is the VERY BEST because it shows Jesus in his humanity. He laughed, he joked, he teased, he lived a life like all of us do. I was raised Catholic, I left that denomination years ago and all I wish to say, in revealing this, is that I have learned that Jesus didn't come to start a denomination. He came to show us how to love and forgive. He gave us examples of walking holy and perfect without the manmade idolatry and works. He gave us a perfect salvation through Him and only Him. Our rituals, works and prayers to the dead are worthless. Pray as Jesus taught us to pray, to our Heavenly Father, for it is His Will that we seak. God bless everyone and stay safe always ❤️ 🙏

I'm thoroughly looking forward to watching season 5 of The Chosen.
Always believed in God, but that was it. No prayers, no repentance. Now, after watching the show, halfway through the New Testament. I prayed every evening, repented my sins, and for the first time in a long time, I feel more at peace rather than the chaos of depression, anxiety and bitterness.
This show was the singular reason why I have become a dedicated christian and now have a peace that was invisible to me before. Thank you to the creators, the writers and above all the actors that portrayed the life story and teachings of Jesus in such a way, I returned to God.
Thank you Jonathan. Thank you Jesus, our King Forever.

The fact that Jesus went through torture , to the point that his own mom couldn't recognize him. Pierced and hung up on a cross for me . Beat the grave and promises to meet me in the sky. Blows my mind . He still loves me, enough to forgive me of my sin .save me and give me a home in Heaven. Wow. One day, my faith will be sight. Still is mind-blowing.

Between the pandemic and the political issues of social justice for this African American Christian woman, I wrestled with cynicism about the American church, resulting in my challenge to leave my church. That's when I discovered The Chosen and fell more in love with Jesus and the Word of God! The writers and actors are amazing! Jonathan Roumie is anointed and appointed by God for such a time as this to give the world a picture of Christ! What a Spirit-filled brother!
