@@Rose19695 Well - Mr.Roumie and his shirt have certainly “water down” the just as important faith and beliefs of non-Catholic Christians - and what that symbol means to them. I think using the word “useless” to describe anything other than what his shirt says and what Catholics believe - is pretty patronizing. The meaning of patronize - speak or behave towards you in a way that seems friendly, but that shows that they think they are superior to you in some way. Most comments I see from Catholics on this and other beliefs - does just that. Think like you wish - believe as you wish - but understand that others are just as valid in their faith and beliefs. This shirt fails.
Why I love this guy. He realizes people are people. And most are searching. And most have deep wounds that need to heal. Allowing Christ's love to shine through us might be the opening they need to take the next step toward Christ.
And Christ is not a picture in a stained window. I just came off an interview of Dallas Jenkins with Dr. Jordan Peterson. Dallas said a very important aspect that made him get to the Choosen. That he surrendered to the lord in his moment of failure and doubt. It was not a blind event but conscious and aware moment when a friend became a message to him from God. We are all waiting for a message yet refuse to keep our hearts and minds open to hear it. That is the failiure that we all have.
When he said “We all have Jesus in us”, i burst into tears. I realized how selfish my fears have been. Jesus is in me and I need to trust his power in being with others. Compassion service and joy. Thank you.
@MsSonicjonathan but we don't all have Jesus in us... the Holy Spirit only dwells within Christians. (People who have believed in Christ as the Son of God who died and rose again so that sinners would be saved from the wrath of God. Not because we deserve to be saved from hell, we don't. But by the grace and mercy of God.) Those who don't know God can not please Him nor do any good in His sight. Repentance and faith is a must.
I'm proud of him. And I'm happy they were respectful to him. He trusted God and great things come from trusting Him. Who knows what can result from this. Pray for them.

Yes, especially with what they have said about the Church and Christ recently. I wouldn't be surprised if they were being nice but didn't actually mean it.
Hopefully since Jonathon keeps in contact with Whoopi they're friendship will grow and she will return to Our Lord's traditional Catholic Church.
