Jonathan recently made an interview speaking about how he went through depression because of his deep empathy for what Jesus went through, and I can only imagine this path he had to walk. Can we all just lift him up in prayer? To God be the glory ❤
I do not know if the actors were paid exceedingly well for the productions of the Chosen, but Dallas and team behind the scenes have created an exceptional viewing experience for those of us watching from the outside. I know that I am not alone in saying that we appreciate the hours and possibly any discomfort at times that all (cast and production teams) may have gone through to give the world a truly unique and DEEP piece of art. I know that I will be revisiting these seasons and episodes for the rest of my life. In times of personal troubles like now, I can watch these and bring me closer to God. Know that the Chosen is a gift to the world and that all of us who watch and those who will eventually watch, are truly appreciative.
I agree with you. I have binged watched every season so many times for that same reason. I have watched it almost every day this year.. especially if i need to get closer to God..the show leads me closer..
The sadness cannot outweigh the joy that comes knowing that Jesus loves us so much that He went through all of this for us that our sins could be forgiven. He overcame death, hell and the grave that they should have no hold on us. He arose from death and gives us new life that is eternal! The love He has for us is beyond our comprehension. The joy of finally seeing the One who did this for us is beyond our understanding. We will worship Him and praise Him forever!
The thing is Jesus didn't need faith. He knew for an absolute fact who he was and that he would be resurrected. Still a horrible thing to live through for US.
I don’t care if it’s reenactment of the actual happening I can’t watch it. It breaks my heart to think what they did to him. It makes me sick at my stomach to think people would treat someone like that much less the son of God, how cruel, hateful, evil and dark that assault was I can’t believe he suffered so very much for me, it makes me cry just bawling To think he loves me that much and made that sacrifice for my sins so that I can live forever in heaven, I every time I watch a reenactment of that day I don’t care who’s playing the part it just destroys me! And what destroys me the most is his mother… because as a mother who knew what was going to happen to her son and had to allow it to happen… absolutely heartbreaking!!!
As a mother it's terrible to watch your child suffer. As a believer I think it's our obligation to watch it. Our Lord Jesus suffered for us. At least we can acknowledge it once. I dread seeing His suffering also.
I love this show I’ve been with them since the start and I’ll be with them til the end. It’s wonderful it’s given me so much. My faith is stronger than ever.

I'm going to cry - Again like most of the episodes. Tears of Joy and overwhelmed with his love for this Wretch of a man. He saved me from my addiction! He saved me from myself. The Holy Spirit is powerful and incredible when you truly believe in him.
Saved me from addiction too! I overdosed and died from fentanyl in 2017 and my ex just so happened to have gotten narcan the day before and saved my life! That was definitely Jesus! I'm almost completely sober and no longer living that disgusting lifestyle! Glad to hear Jesus saved u too!

Addiction is Satans strongest demons that and lust - I pray 🙏🏻 meditate and read scripture 30 minutes every morning when I wake up- I put God first and put on the armor of my savior Try it - I love you he loves you- you got this
My 16 yr old son and I are so excited about the new season we always watch together it's an emotional time everytime thank you everyone involved for bringing this to our homes !

I know right? And I am 74, so even if Jesus doesn't come for us yet, one never really knows when our lives might end. I have been baptized, but how many people might die before they get the message. I know the whole production needs a vacation, but please hurry back and finish it, and don't wait months or even weeks to put it on air. Time is of the essence for everyone! This is the one series in production today that is of actual earthshaking importance! Please do everything possible to finish the series ASAP.

I asked for my horse there and I asked Him this morning if I can learn to fly when I get to heaven and He said that I won't need the plane. I busted out laughing and my husband asked what I was laughing about, but he didn't get it because he needs a relationship with Jesus Christ and able to hear Him speak. I worked as a background extra in Texas. I was a citizen and I was in the Sanhedrin. It was great experience and unless you were there you have no idea how much time and work goes into each scene. I'm looking forward to watching Season 5 and hoping to work on Seasons 6 and 7.

But I'm also reading my Bible thinking wow the scene from the chosen really happened I thought Dallas Jenkins slip that in to spice the show up. I'm reading Acts excited about and hoping they show Jesus appearing 40 days after his resurrection to his followers in Season 7 and 8 of the Chosen. I think that will be powerful 💪

Just returned from Greece, Corinth to be exact. There we was the ancient city. Within was the Dias where the procuator stood, read to proclaim judgment on those brought before him. And on the wall of the Dias were the words "Bema Seat". Not ten feet away in the plaza was the short columnar stone where Romes enemies, or friends, were judged. Enemies were strapped to the stone and whipped. Although this was Pauls Journey,....What a portrayal of what Jesus went through.
They are BEAUTIFUL, the one that inspired me was when Judas Iscariot betrayer, how his heart got confused & then got hurt, knowing that JESUS CHRIST is the MESSIAH 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Whoever cast this guy as Caiaphas deserves an award or raise or something. That man is the perfect Caiaphas. Also, I hope Dallas doesn't burn himself out. I burned myself out from working too hard and it's taken me almost two years to get back to normal.

His performance is definately going to support Jonathon's performance in some very difficult scenes. For the same reason that you can only watch The Passion movie so much, I think his performance is going to be both brilliant and painful to watch at the same time.

I love this series. At first I had to watch Season one two times to "get into" the show. I love it. It's about time shows like this exist. Our children and grandchildren need to be able to visualize the things that happened to Jesus and his disciples and this gives them a visual. Reading the words they can use their imagination but actually seeing it taking place makes them realize how real it all was. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in this special series. I am truly excited about this season 5, and all the other projects Dallas has shared with us! This season is often viewed as an ending, one of extreme sadness and ago y... which it is, however for me this time in Christ's life, though an ending to hus earthly life, is the flinging open of His true life and reason for coming here in the first place! His life and Resurrection depic His greatness and infallibility, His death is the reminder to us of how fallen, reprobate, lost and hopeless mankind is. I hate that part, we are so cruel and disgusting. What His promise to us is an absolutely wonderful future, an eternity with Him!😊❤
This is an incredible endeavor with far reaching consequences...something to hold on to as the world around us falls apart. THE CHOSEN has rendered all others like it almost unwatchable, 2nd rate. It has touched me deeply, emotionally. I feel closer to Christ and I have done something I never thought I could ever do: write praise music (I am in the church choir). It is inspiring to see a cast and crew so totally committed to this holy series. I look forward to the rest of this epic although knowing a flood of tears is coming...as it must. Thank you for bringing Jesus here, now. Jonathan is awesome.

I've been studying the Bible for 50 years what I like about the chosen is bringing the characters to life and I feel you represent them as close to real as possible thank you I hope that some of the unbelievers listen and have their eyes and ears opened by your portrayal of Jesus and the disciples thank you again looking forward to season 5 in the theater I love seeing it on the big screen first and I'm enjoying some of your other movies also
All of Holy Week will be compelling to watch. Seeing how the series progresses as many of us anticipate Season 5 releases in April. The humanity of Jesus and the rest of the cast.
I’m most looking forward to your depiction of Gethsemane. Most Christians focus on the cross-and that was beyond brutal. And yet, we’re told in scripture that Jesus suffered the torturous pains not only of all of our sins, but of every heartache, hurt, sickness, shame, betrayal, and every other traumatic event ANYONE has EVER experienced-so He can know how to “succor” us (that’s Greek for “run to” us in our trials and infirmities) in Gethsemane. IOW: He KNOWS FIRST HAND how we feel in every situation. I don’t know how it was done. Only that it WAS ACCOMPLISHED for each one of us. So He can help us through whatever our trials may be. THAT, I wonder, how you will show us. Brings me to my knees and breaks my heart each time I contemplate it. And then, fills me with wonder and joy and hope for a beautiful life to come no matter what the challenges are here in this life. I LOVE JESUS-and I’m blessed 😇 to know HE LOVES EACH & EVERY ONE OF US, too! He did all of this to fulfill His Father’s will-for US!❤

4:30 it's intriguing how the show makes Judas' major character flaw be one of relying too much on his own understanding instead of Jesus. This is, arguably relatable to all mankind at one time or another. Our lives are all about learning to trust in God, so the question is whether we will.
Judas...I appreciate the unveiling...progression of Judas. He held a fundamental self determinant will that he simply, progressively reinforced. I hope Christians and non Christians watch and relate. Jesus calls us to HIMSELF. If we will not release our preconceptions and be changed along the way, we all face this danger of ultimate betrayal. Some, it appears, already have as they seek to twist scripture. Judas was not a traiter at the start. His unwillingness to change produced a hardening of the heart that, in the end, turned him to a reprobate.
I am eager to see the rest of the chosen. I'm in love with the words and works of Jesus Christ . Hallelujah Great movie . Good job to all that have worked so hard in making these seasons. God Bless All of You. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🌅🌅🌅🙏

Our king is alive and well. And he’s coming back in power and glory. Yes they tore down the temple, but it was restored in three days.

Doing the pause before watching...truly, I can't wait to watch him portray Jesus cleaning out the church. It's such a powerful scene in my head when I read it in the gospel! Praise Our Lord Jesus Christ for literally everything. This show is a blessing from Him!!❤❤

Now age 72 & being taught from a young age about Jesus and his life, i should not be anxious about future episodes. But it remains so very sad to think of what was done to such a dear blessed man.

I too admit it pains me to see how the world hurt our lovingly father, but remember what Jesus says, "No man take my life I lay down my own life" Why for the sake of our salvation. And he took his life back up again in 3days. He defeated death on the cross. Amen!! Thank you Jesus for the cross and thanks for you beautiful obedience to the Father God!! I worked as a background extra in Texas. I was a citizen and I was in the Sanhedrin. It was great experience and unless you were there you have no idea how much time and work goes into each scene. I'm looking forward to watching Season 5 and hoping to work on Seasons 6 and 7.

I am very excited about season 5 of The Chosen. I know there is much sadness coming our way, but I am trusting "The Chosen" to deliver a superior Holy Week. One that uplifts our Savior and brings glory to God.
Raised atheist here and really enjoy this series! I see it as historical and it goes along really with HBO’s Rome. Keep up the good work!

This series IS FANTASTIC, the meticulous detail of each scene, is wonderful, SO looking forward to Season 5 and 6 although there is one aspect which I know will make me CRY for sure. Thank you so much Dallas and your amazing crew. God bless you all!

The Glory and praise when Jesus rides into Jerusalem and the crowd praising him saying “Hosanna in the highest! Palm Sunday! Although I know that I a short time they will condemn him it still warms my heart to see the love and adoration of our Savior!
I probably should be embarrassed to admit this but I catch myself reading my Bible waiting for Ramah and Atticus to pop up somewhere. But I'm also reading my Bible thinking wow the scene from the chosen really happened I thought Dallas Jenkins slip that in to spice the show up. The Chosen has inspired this Sinner to read the Bible and grow my relationship with the Lord so thank you everyone that has contributed to the production of the Chosen!! I'm reading Acts excited about and hoping they show Jesus appearing 40 days after his resurrection to his followers in Season 7 and 8 of the Chosen. I think that will be powerful 💪

Just returned from Greece, Corinth to be exact. There we was the ancient city. Within was the Dias where the procuator stood, read to proclaim judgment on those brought before him. And on the wall of the Dias were the words "Bema Seat". Not ten feet away in the plaza was the short columnar stone where Romes enemies, or friends, were judged. Enemies were strapped to the stone and whipped. Although this was Pauls Journey,....What a portrayal of what Jesus went through.

Whoever cast this guy as Caiaphas deserves an award or raise or something. That man is the perfect Caiaphas.
Also, I hope Dallas doesn't burn himself out. I burned myself out from working too hard and it's taken me almost two years to get back to normal.
The actor playing Caiaphas is scary he is so good at this role
He played Mr. Litman on Seinfield..He was Elaine's boss. I was so surprised that he was the one who took this role on. He really does it well.❤
@@deborahcoward9869 His delivery is just phenomenal. The pauses in his speech carry just as much weight as the words and just stone cold delivery. His performance is definately going to support Jonathon's performance in some very difficult scenes. For the same reason that you can only watch The Passion movie so much, I think his performance is going to be both brilliant and painful to watch at the same time.
I send my blessings to the whole cast and all who have been involved with the chosen. To Dallas thank you for doing The Chosen. I watch it I cry, I laugh and it’s so difficult to believe that the Son of God had to endure such torture,degrading,pain for us sinners.
I commend the actors, especially those portraying Jesus and Judas; that is a massive responsibility. I’m grateful for the commitment to their craft in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Even though I know season 5 will be quite emotional, I am awaiting anxiously for it. Jesus sacrifice, and even through life’s turmoil, gives us the hope and joy that is His kingdom and everlasting life, but it is for us to choose which path to follow, Jesus way or our own misguided mistakes and failures. I feel the same way as the lady that commented below it saddens me it makes me bawl my eyes out and the way some of his people betrayed Jesus the way they did. I love Jesus Christ and I would not ever betray his trust, and faithfulness he's always in my life heart and soul thank you Jesus you're my saving grace and much more

I love this series. At first I had to watch Season one two times to "get into" the show. I love it. It's about time shows like this exist. Our children and grandchildren need to be able to visualize the things that happened to Jesus and his disciples and this gives them a visual. Reading the words they can use their imagination but actually seeing it taking place makes them realize how real it all was. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in this special series. I am truly excited about this season 5, and all the other projects Dallas has shared with us! This season is often viewed as an ending, one of extreme sadness and ago y... which it is, however for me this time in Christ's life, though an ending to hus earthly life, is the flinging open of His true life and reason for coming here in the first place! His life and Resurrection depic His greatness and infallibility, His death is the reminder to us of how fallen, reprobate, lost and hopeless mankind is. I hate that part, we are so cruel and disgusting. What His promise to us is an absolutely wonderful future, an eternity with Him!😊❤

This is an incredible endeavor with far reaching consequences...something to hold on to as the world around us falls apart. THE CHOSEN has rendered all others like it almost unwatchable, 2nd rate. It has touched me deeply, emotionally. I feel closer to Christ and I have done something I never thought I could ever do: write praise music (I am in the church choir). It is inspiring to see a cast and crew so totally committed to this holy series. I look forward to the rest of this epic although knowing a flood of tears is coming...as it must. Thank you for bringing Jesus here, now. Jonathan is awesome.

The Chousen es mi serie favorita. He visto la primera, segunday tercera temporada. Estoy esperando poder ver la cuarta y quinta. Los actores son estupendos y el director te introduce en la vida y misterio de Jesús de Nazaret como ningún otro lo ha hecho anteriormente. Un Jesus, tan sencillo, tan cercano, tan humano, tan divino, tan natural, tan divertido.. con tal sentido del humor que atrae a todos. Él nos amó primero y nos eneña a amar hasta el extremo. Nadie me quita la vida, la doy voluntariamente. Gloria a Dios. Bendiciones a todo el equipo de producción.

I've been studying the Bible for 50 years what I like about the chosen is bringing the characters to life and I feel you represent them as close to real as possible thank you I hope that some of the unbelievers listen and have their eyes and ears opened by your portrayal of Jesus and the disciples thank you again looking forward to season 5 in the theater I love seeing it on the big screen first and I'm enjoying some of your other movies also

I’m most looking forward to your depiction of Gethsemane. Most Christians focus on the cross-and that was beyond brutal. And yet, we’re told in scripture that Jesus suffered the torturous pains not only of all of our sins, but of every heartache, hurt, sickness, shame, betrayal, and every other traumatic event ANYONE has EVER experienced-so He can know how to “succor” us (that’s Greek for “run to” us in our trials and infirmities) in Gethsemane.
IOW: He KNOWS FIRST HAND how we feel in every situation. I don’t know how it was done. Only that it WAS ACCOMPLISHED for each one of us. So He can help us through whatever our trials may be. THAT, I wonder, how you will show us. Brings me to my knees and breaks my heart each time I contemplate it. And then, fills me with wonder and joy and hope for a beautiful life to come no matter what the challenges are here in this life. I LOVE JESUS-and I’m blessed 😇 to know HE LOVES EACH & EVERY ONE OF US, too! He did all of this to fulfill His Father’s will-for US!❤

4:30 it's intriguing how the show makes Judas' major character flaw be one of relying too much on his own understanding instead of Jesus. This is, arguably relatable to all mankind at one time or another. Our lives are all about learning to trust in God, so the question is whether we will.
Judas...I appreciate the unveiling...progression of Judas. He held a fundamental self determinant will that he simply, progressively reinforced. I hope Christians and non Christians watch and relate. Jesus calls us to HIMSELF. If we will not release our preconceptions and be changed along the way, we all face this danger of ultimate betrayal. Some, it appears, already have as they seek to twist scripture. Judas was not a traiter at the start. His unwillingness to change produced a hardening of the heart that, in the end, turned him to a reprobate.
