This is a well known song among the reaction community mainly due to the shock factor.
It’s not the best introduction to A7X. They have so much more to offer and are all phenomenal musicians. I would suggest The Stage, Afterlife, So far away, MIA or Danger line to get a true representation.
Also any of their live at the LBC videos would be great!
Couldn't agree more. It's probably going to turn more people away from A7X than it will turn them onto them if it's their introduction to the band.
@@danielw1414 Really lol👍🏼💀😂
why do they gotta do em dirty like that?
Ska✅

This song has them all.
Try their Unholy confession, Buried Alive, MIA, Danger Line, Stage, Critical Acclaim, Nightmare. Pretty please.
Hi guys, oh this is the metal Monday hit. I quite enjoyed this, it’s like a graphic novel come to life. The storyline is a little bizarre but I liked that. I would score this quite high. I’ve shocked myself. Thank you so much for sharing this video xxxx
@Elaine Howard
You actually watched it and even liked it, now we are shocked, we thought we may have pushed you too far with this one.
Just goes to show, we know nothing!!
And you continue to surprise.
Hope your trip is going well.
horror. comedy. slasher. animation. zombies. musical. romance. and necrophilia. things people pay money to see on the big screen. brilliant movie song play. danny elfman would be proud.
That was truly BONKERS!!
@jenell56
When we do our "Weirdest song of the channel" that one will be right up there.
Did you make it all the way to the end?
I had to bribe BP1 with free food to get him to stay!!
Well, at least they were a metal band!!!
😃😃
@@BritPopsReact I think I made it to the end...hard to know really what with the chainsaw's and blood and hearts on plates etc! I got to your scores so I must have LoL OH and now that BP1 has sat through THAT "song" if he ever says something isn't really his type of music...Ima gunna scream hahaha
that was quite fun hahaha best reaction lol
This man said SCOOBY DOO CHASE LMFAO i can't unsee it
@Expired1337
😂 At least we gave you a laugh.
Thanks for watching
This is definitely a one off. They're my favorite band. This song was supposed to be on a Halloween EP, but the record label suggested that it must be on their album. Do "Bat Country" or "Nightmare" for a better impression of who they are.
@Joshua Wells_A7x
Hello and thank you for the information, we though it must have been done for a reason, so thank you for sharing that.
We will try and do another song from them to get a better idea of who they are.
Thanks for watching.
@@BritPopsReact oingo boingo members were the reason for elfman sound lol thats why all the brass
Well done guys...
You have chosen the most "particular" song of Avenged... Please react to the video for SO FAR AWAY, the song they dedicated to drummer THE REV in 2009. Thanks
@Sevenf0ld
It was requested and we think someone may have been having a bit of fun to see if we would do it!
It was a bit different and maybe not our usual taste.
We will try and check out something else from these guys just to get a better idea of who they are.
Thanks for watching.
@@BritPopsReact Do it you will not regret it! They are formidable musicians, the drummer died in 2009 at the age of 27, he was then replaced for a while by Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) who considered him his heir. Good job guys, sorry for the English but I'm Italian... And THANK YOU for bringing Vasco Rossi, who is simply a legend!
If you listen to the lyrics you’ll realize that he’s a psycho and killed her before she could reject him.
I've been a fan of avenged for years and love playing their songs on guitar.
For a first reaction, brilliant, everyone feels this way, but our community realises the talent they have, his voice is something else, they pushed their boundaries and their drummer (R.I.P the rev) came up with most of this, one of his first times actually being the writer for a song in the band. It's a Halloween type feel
@Ethan
Hello and thank you for the comment.
Yes, we think one of our viewers was having a bit of fun with us to see if we would actually react to this song.
We will do another song from them to get a better idea of what they usually do.
Thanks for watching.
Oh my God...!!!
@Sevenf0ld
Indeed!!!
This song usually isn't on the list for first time reacting to the band, unless you like dark stuff. Afterlife is a better starting song if your just getting into the band. Don't let this song steer you away. "Dear God", has a strong country feel to it, singing about being away from family while on the road touring.
Avenged Sevenfold - MIA
'anything can happen on a metal monday!' Never heard of this group either so was glad to hear your little overview at the start. Not a big fan of this song but appreciated hearing your thoughts and how you gave something a bit different a chance
@Bee
That really was a very strange one and just goes to show that we will indeed react to most things.
If nothing else, your and our musical knowledge has been broadened.
Thanks for watching and well done you if you managed to stay to the end.
What a song to start exploring avenged sevenfold... it should be listening after their other popular song...
@Bhakti Aksara Putra
Oh yes!!, very interesting indeed.
It was recommended to us by one of our regular viewers, we made reference to them a few times.
We thought they were seeing if we would do it!!
Thanks for watching.
The best things about a7x is they're changing genre for almost every album. So you'll find different type of songs in each of their albums. Their first 2 album was heavy and badass and very metal things. But their latest album was progressive metal, and it's f**kin awesome especially the guitar sections.
don't forget talk with a cup of coffee 😎 and then “my ah this is so p'etty good” 🍶🍵
Loved the reaction! Yes this song wasn’t meant to be taken seriously but I still think it’s great musically. You should definitely check out “Victim” or “Buried Alive” by them. I think you’ll both enjoy those! This was my first time on your channel and you just gained a new follower! Keep up the great content! Hope to see more A7x!
Unholy Confessions and Critical Acclaim are my faves by A7X..please consider reacting to one of these or both 😊🤘 just found your channel and subbed! Also The Stage is another banger with a deep story and meaning
@Michael McHone
Hi Michael, thanks for popping in and for the support.
We had a Monday section that we used to just pick a random metal band and just dive in, we gave our honest feedback as we are not Metal heads at all, so for us some we enjoyed and others not quite so much.
We have taken a small break for the festive season on the Metal Mondays but will return after the Christmas period and do more.
Thanks for the nice comment, we hope you enjoy our channel, we go all over the place!!
react to The Stage pls, ir's completely different
The problem is the incapacity of interpretation of song, toxic relation, is so simple and normally, but anybody understand the message, some people is so ego that prefer destroy everybody and still estay in the toxic ralation like anythiks more happens.
I disagree. I think it’s the best intro to them. The rev folks
Oh! Hello A7X :-). How very nice to see you on a pleasant holiday Monday! :-). Take MrChappers comment below as truth. He is bang on. I'd fully support any of the mentions he presents.
Awesome to see here gent's, thanks for this !
@Daniel O'Sheigh
We think our viewer Rezner101 was seeing if we would actually react to this.
We had no idea what we were walking into and it was a bit of a strange one.
We would be up for checking out other songs from them, just to get a better idea of what they actually do.
Cheers
I think he took some peyote, watched Scooby Doo, and decided to write the most twisted, fucked up "ballady" bloodbath he could! Success!! There is a piece of me I like to keep hidden that really liked it, yet hated it. I am super proud of you both for hanging in there. NOW, for the love of God, after that shit, PLEASE chek out Type O Negative! Their song Black # 1, Love You to Death or Xero Tolerance. It will be nowhere as painful as what you just did, I promise. I have to go now, I have to find Chuey a dog psychiatrist.
@Chuey's Mama
We were wondering what you and Chuey would make of that one as you are one of our more "Metal" heads and if you thought it was f'd up, imagine how we felt.
Maybe we should put up a "Chuey Parental" warning on some videos!!
Good luck with the therapy!!
@@BritPopsReact Yeah, poor Chuey is a mess. He is a hard nosed hard core metal head and that was just some twisted Jeffrey Dahmer shit! 2 paws down.
KeREN..same as cool
First off - hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.... inhale.... hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Secondly, for a metal monday you really really should react to Halestorm - Do Not Disturb, the official video can be found on their official channel.
@Andrej
Oh yes, a bet you laughed all the way on that.
It was a strange one to be honest, but we made it to the end.
OK, Halestorm is on the list and we will get to them soon.
Thanks for watching and hope you are enjoy our Metal Monday journey
You picked the one song that sounds nothing like any of their other songs lol.
@Brent Watts
Yup, we think someone was having some fun with us.
We will go back to them and do something else from them to get a better idea.
Thanks for watching and the comment.
This song was intended to be a Halloween party song for adults, for a Halloween concept album. The album idea was scrapped after the drummer died. It is packed with dark humor and facetious sexual innuendo that makes me laugh everytime I hear it. It's definitely in my top 5 favorites of all time. With that said, I do have to say that this song is not representative of the band's work. If you'd like something more metal like, try "Chapter Four" or "Unholy Confessions". Trust me, I reacted in a similar way when I first heard this, but Avenged Sevenfold quickly became my favorite band, with songs that span nearly every genre. They're definitely worth listening to, as this is only 1 of more than 100 amazing songs. My absolute favorites by A7X are " Buried Alive" and "Dancing Dead", but everyone has their favorites.
Nope. You're correct that it was for a Halloween album but it wasn't scrapped when the rev died. He is on this song! The record label told them this should be on the self titled record. They later said it was the best decision they ever made
I wasn't trying to say that the song was scrapped, obviously the song still exists and the Rev is definitely in it. I meant they scrapped the idea for the Halloween.
@@jadedatheist1828 Yeah, but you said the Halloween album was scrapped after The Rev passed, but that's inaccurate. The Rev was very much alive when the Halloween idea was scrapped and the song was put on the self-titled album. He toured and played this song live many times. He passed during the creation of Nightmare.
Omg, you're completely correct. I don't know what I was thinking. Thanks for correcting that.
@@jadedatheist1828 lovely to see someone taking a correction of what the said on the Internet in a good way 😂
It’s a full on classic. Just not long enough 🙄😂😂Fair play for giving it a go( well done BP1for getting to the end) It is not a true representation of their music, at all. They also do short metal catchy as hell songs. Afterlife or Almost Easy are probably more your thing. Ps that’s got to be worth a cup of tea for the both of you.
@rezner101
😂 You must6 have fallen off the couch when you seen that come up from us!!
It was a tough one, but we think we may have found our limit!
Thanks for the suggestion and there you go, we will give most things a try and even make it to the end.
Thank you very much for the cuppa, we will enjoy that one and thank you very much!!!
Cheers!!
You blokes did great digesting this masterpiece that came out of jimmy “the rev” Sullivan’s head. RIP REV. You guys should check out “the stage” official music video by a7x next
@@bill4431 The Stage (song and album) is a masterpiece. And Exist is the best ever a7x song in my opinion.
Musically it was quite interesting but the subject matter was a bit suspect and it went on about 5 minutes too long.
@Lord Lockdowns Jukebox
You can see why we were a bit worried about returning to them, but fair play, we enjoyed the second song.
Cheers
Next : Live LBC. ( R.i.P TheRev )
foREVer !
Listen 'Exist' by them almost 16 minutes song😂
@Aiman John
Really...16 minutes, oh I don't think my colleague BP1 could last that long!!
Thank you for the comment and for watching.
@@BritPopsReact If you can get through it though, it's pretty amazing. It's literally a song made to be a representation of the universe since the Big Bang to current. Neil DeGrasse Tyson even makes an appearance on the track.
That's a weird one... The combination of the parts seems to be inspired more by the theatrical than the musical aspect, like somebody took pieces of a score and put them together (think Danny Elfman, for example). I would have to listen to it again, Ithink I heard some references, almost quote-like, at different points. An analysis of somebody who knows these things better could be quite interesting.
It doesn't work too well for me as a song; and I'm too old for the shock and horror aspect of it. But as I understand it, it wasn't meant to be a "regular" A7x song anyway. Still, it's quite funny, with a parody vibe, musical references... - I hadn't heard it, I had fun, with your reactions, too.
@Ulrich von Bek
That was a quite a strange one to react to.
It was a request and we went with it, it may not make our playlist but we are have broadened our musical knowledge in the process and BP1 made it all the way through, so that is a plus!!
Haha yup not the best intro song for a band
They have a lot of different songs much better than this by them
You should react to more metal song by a7 x like i am not ready to die !!
This dude is stopping it on every really good transition.
If you would stop pausing the video for no frigging reason, maybe you would have a clue to what the song is about
Well.... it's copyright you see, this song was extremely hard just to get out without being blocked at the time and it was an early video for us, I understand the song now with him being a Psycho and killed her before rejection but at the time as a first listen for non metal heads there was alot to take in... thanks for watching
I know this is two years old but it was the most shite reaction I've seen to it.
I didn't need shock at visuals but I'm disappointed that the theatrics wasnt appreciated. From the country that delivered us the theatrics of Queen.
It didnt even need the visuals to go through to the parts that expressed turmoil, anger, guilt, revenge expressed via the changes in pace and intrumentation.
No thought put behind the reaction expect for , 'yah, nah, i dont like this'.
Anyway, I clicked on one of the thumbs.
Try Bat Country if this channel is still alive. Maybe my algorithm will send it my way.
😴
Well there you go.. as time has gone up our respect level have probably increased but if we don’t like something or it’s not for us then we shall say it… I am sure there are loads of artists that you don’t like listening too.. just the way it is but yes in This video a lot of effort was made and you can’t knock the production :)
@@BritPopsReact Maybe not artists but I listen to also of genre's like the ones that were birthed by the black American community like EDM, Rock n Roll, Jazz, Blues, RnB, hip-hop, reggae, pop, trap, ska, to those influenced by it like heavy metal, ska-punk- k-pop.
I've listen to kwaito, gom, amapiano and afrobeats, Latin pop ect.
I also listen to heavy metal, emo, punk (it's not a phase mom! Music).
Classical composers like Bach, Wolfgang ✌🏽👆🏽👇🏽
I like collecting CD's, my partner is musician and music teacher.
It doesn't mean I've liked every song ever but I've been able to atleast try n dissect it. Especially when it's atleast interesting/theatrical. I like musicals and theater too.
🤷🏽♀️
Go back listen to k-pop then hahaha
@Vermilion
We do, also J-Rock and J-Metal and Vietnamese Rap and everything in between we will give anything a try.
We may not like all of it, but at least we give it a try.
Thanks for checking us out anyway
