Mini Electric Airboat Range tests! How far will it go?!

Safe to say the new batteries perform beyond our expectations! What an upgrade from the DIY prototype battery!

Thats quite the adventure. I live in Ontario and have a remote cabin on a water access lake that i would love to be able to reach 12 months of the year. This looks great, how much of a hill can they climb. See you climbed on the dock but i probably have 1000 meters and 80 meters elevation in 3 slopes

Hi @David Ivens! A few things needed here, poly underneath to give good slip, and the question is if the power is enought to get over the slopes due to us not knowing the gradient. With that being said, you can always get out, and using the remote, move the boat forward without being in it. This is one of the most useful features of this kit, and we use it daily! But as for 1km and 80m elevation, that does seem ok, if you take into account the first comments. /John

I’m trying to copy your outboard motor build unsure if I have to use a resistor to pre charge capacitors in the esc thanks any help you can give would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hi @CraigMccready! Without knowing what the details of the build are, it is hard to answer, but using a pre-charge resistor is applied in some applications. /John

If you want to find out how your kit performs in extremely hot weather, send me one and i can test it out. ;) Here in Texas, its 8pm currently 105 Fahrenheit

Phew! That is crazy warm! If the kit sells well in hot areas of the world we might have to start offering an actively cooled battery🤔😅
