You definitely moved to the “Dark-Side” On this one Lindsay !!!!! Here in NW Michigan, we have Actual Adult Large Bugs 🐛 !!!!!! They like to grow to full-size in our Region !!!!!! Need to be awake to tie this pattern ….. Thank You for the Tutorial Pal 🎉 🌟🎣💫
I fancy myself in tying extra small jig nymphs and using way oversized beads. I feel it gives me a great mental advantage especially when fishing behind others on the stream or lake. Even on high pressured stillwaters it allows me to catch a few extra fish. Thank you!!!!!
I live in Colorado. Southwest Colorado near Durango. 90% of what I tie is size 14-20. A few down to 24 and a few bigger streamers, but that's about it. Maybe some bigger stoneflies and stuff like that too. I would like to get into musky and pike on a fly rod though. Those look like fun to tie too.
Nice fly, Lindsay. I’ve gone down to #18 and that’s pretty small. I do want to try a #20 or 22, not sure if they are really necessary tho? The 18 catches me plenty
Well done Lindsay...nice nymph and tye...small and micro flies seem to get eaten confidently, particularly by wild fish...thinking of trying/buying some Solarez Bone Dry resin...may I ask how you store it for the best shelf life...heard it doesn't like cold places?
Thanks, Solarez is brilliant, it does not like the cold though. I just put it next to my heater or put it in a cup of boiling water and its good as new.
Hi Lindsay when you were tying the snake fly back in February you were drinking lagavulan but mentioned another whiskey which you loved but now to expensive can you tell me what it was called please cheers
It was probably the Aberlour A’Bunadh. It’s a lovely dram just a shame it has gotten so expensive. I still get a bottle for Christmas and birthdays though.

I fish smal flies often and catch nice fish!!
They take all sizes of fish.
Jig hooks are new to me. I have 16 18 20 do they make any smaller? They are massive compared to a 20 shrimp and scud hook.
I think #20 is the smallest.
@@lindsayiflyfish ok thank you I buy from 3 different shops that's the smallest they have thanks
That is one tiny hook. I doubt my sausage fingers would manage that.
I e it a go you might be surprised 👍
