  • Here is a spotty wrap up of the last 3 weeks of surfing on the road with my brother or my buddy Mike. We absolutely scored up and down the coast, so many different breaks and epic waves! This session was at a beach break with constantly shifting sand dunes, so it is not always good, but when it lines up, holy cow is it the best ripping beach break for sup. You are not going to get the tube of your life, but these conditions are epic for honing your skills and timing in shallow, steep waves!!! Like I talk about in the video, mega thank you to everyone I have met in and out of the water the past 6 weeks!!!! YEWWWWW hopefully more of these road trip episodes to come, forecast looks epic! #supsurfing #beachbreak #standuppaddle

Education about burning people got intense, love the way how you explained it and that we need to share and care instead of snaking each other! Had last week a wave that I didn't really have priority on but the supper just let me and gave it to me, so I had my first wave of the day, being happy to shred it to parts. I paddled back and said thx mate first wave on my new board, could start better!

Yea Levon!!!! Thank you for sharing! And nothing like sharing the stoke with friends in the water. With our bird's eye view on sups, usually there is no excuse to being the snake 😂

@@Twonicles I think that it would be beneficial to show what you did at 9:46 as a teachable lesson. I'm actually curious what your choice was, especially on a SUP. Personally, I think you should eat that white water out of respect to the longboarder. Because you're unlikely to have time to outrun him on the face and ride over the wave, or turn and catch it somehow behind him.

@@abnormalprophet yea Ryan! I think in this particular scenario, the wave got soft and too wide from the sandbar so I was able to stay out on the shoulder without interfering. But yes I agree 100%, GTFO the way and not through someone's line. A lot of people forget too, even my small SUP creates a paddling wake and surface disruption. I think next how to is going to be "navigating the lineup and picking a surf spot"

@@Twonicles Bro THAT elevates the sport. Even most prone surfers get this wrong. And if you were able to do this elegantly by threading a soft shoulder, I think that should count for just as many style points as a roundhouse cutback! But I think regardless of style, it's the right CHOICE 100%. I hadn't really considered your more nuanced point about surface disruption, good add.

Freakin' awesome!!! That wave at 4:35 mark, huge and lots of moving water. Days like that are like victory at sea! For me, it would be just survive, ride wave too far in, then contemplate if that would be my only wave as who knows how long it will take to get back out! : ) Strong!!!! Thanks for sharing the road trip! Keeps us stoked!
