      I do prefer the Japanese chisels in most cases they are a bit more robust

    Nice build mate it looks great.It’s nice to see a bit of old school carpentry to instead of using machinery to flatten and square your work.Thanks for sharing love your channel

    The shoe rack came out very well indeed. I like the organic approach to the design as the build progresses. For me, the addition of the feet and top pieces finished it off well.

    Liking the finish with that Osmo John, it doesn’t spoil the natural wood look. A quick question if I may. As a newcomer to this woodworking I may be stupid but what is the “ club” you are using.😀 and why not a standard mallet. Any reason why it’s round?

    • @JohnMcGrathManInShed
      @JohnMcGrathManInShed  2 года назад

      Its a round head mallet Paul you use it with chisels

    I was hoping you would shape the top pieces like a Shinto Shrine to keep the Japanese theme going. I suppose if you decided to try that you can still easily shape it. Otherwise, great job and thanks for helping all our knees feeling better 😏😏
