    MOS is Motor Only Shot, it originated from film (think Arriflex or Panaflex ) where the action is being filmed without a sound track. It lets the editor know that they don't need the associated recording. I was told by an old head that the scratch track on the film sounds like a motor and that's all the editor hears. However, urban legend is alive and well on a film set.

    I have not used the term dirt for sand bags, but use the term beach when referring to them. My thought is they are filled with sand usually, so why not at least come close to the term. Great video!

    I also have heard the Apple boxes be referred to papa mother or child referring to the size of the box :p

    Working on set does require a language until its own. And sometimes you find yourself saying things and you're like "I must sound insane right now"
