For the story to evolve he has to at least attempt to embrace his son, which brings the wonderful complication of his deal with Butcher and his revenge on Black Noir/Vought into question. It's going to be lovely to watch.
@@nomadpurple6154 Which is why I’ll be extremely disappointed if they end up killing Soldier Boy off this season. I feel like there’s so much left to be explored with his character that it would just be a waste. People say that this would work just like it did with Stormfront, where he’s meant to appear as a main character for just one season. But she had the advantage of being present all throughout Season 2, whereas we really only started to see any significant scenes featuring Soldier Boy in episode 5.
They team up and Noir joins the Boys IMO

He will dethrone and that will break homelander's heart so much. Soldier boy didnt raise him and had no ties with him whatsoever. He just know he is his son but nothing more. While homelander had been longing for family eversince. I think soldier boy will die though or if not, will be taken out of the picture. There is just no way that he will remain in the show even if I want him to stay.
The scenes with Black Noir and his cartoon hallucinations/memories were incredible. Eight episode seasons of this show is not enough.
Actually not only incredible, but pretty much revealed a lot about Black Noir's past. How Soldier Boy abused his payback team members. Looks like he is the direct reason why Noir's head was severely disfigured to a point he had to use snake eyes like helmet

They wouldn’t dare to shoot the scene. It’s too gory and crazy. Black Noir’s brain pops out, half of his face roasted and he is still freaking alive??? What a walking zombie.

There are many possibilities now...Butcher and his team along with Soldier Boy can still fight Homelander, worse, Soldier boy and Homelander teams up which forces the Boys's hands or surprisingly Soldier boy becomes villain with Butcher and Homelander teaming up to take him down. There is also Starlight's warning about temp V. If HL and SB teams up, then Butcher, Hughie and others are going to do the very thing they hate...become permanent supes themselves....but damn, this is getting crazier and crazier...!!

Homelander is unaware of the past between noir and SB so that will be interesting. Also kinda interested to see what happens when Homelander And SB go see Ryan which we know they will and how SB will react to Mallory and vice versa lol

I don't think Homelander knows where Ryan is being kept. Unless I missed something, I'm pretty sure he's being kept safe by Mallory.

@@daniellteif8017 pretty sure the yellow piece of paper with the address that Newman gave homelander in the barn we see him looking at right before SB calls him is the address to where Mallory and Ryan are hiding

The reimagining of The Boys just keeps getting better, darker, crazier and spectacular! Brilliant parallels with what has been happening back in the real world. Eric Kripke, the cast and the whole team keep outdoing themselves!
I wouldn't say darker, the comics get pretty dark too, just a lot less respectful than the show does

I’m going to go insane after episode 8. Need to break down and read the comics. I did read what happens at the end. Sure hope the show is different from the comics

They took all the best of the comic, fixed the worst of it, and kept everyone acting true to themselves despite all the changes. I love it.

I've only seen her do press once, and that was for the very first season at some comic convention. She sat on the couch with the other cast members but didn't speak. I wonder why her actress has chosen not to do press or participate in promotional material for the show.
@@nissan_skyline she doesn't like doing interviews and stuff. Plus she was stuck in Ireland for most of the shooting which is why she has so few scenes this Season

I know she's an Irish actress, but I don't recall seeing anything regarding other projects she was working on in Ireland during the filming of season 3 for The Boys when I was doing some light research on her, but I may have missed it.

The way you guys modernized the boys and took the idea from the comics and turned it into its own thing is a beautiful masterpiece. And the acting is just amazing and over the top thank u Amazon for having the balls to take on this show🤝🏽.
I truly believe that both Karl Urban and Antony Starr should get every acting award possible for this season. Some of the best I’ve ever seen
Every actor on this show fits perfectly but I agree Karl and Anthony are the stand outs

The boys is getting better and better not just with each season, but with each effing episode...every character is explored on a deeper level and only boosts my excitement for what this series brings further. Episode 7 had some huge character background and revelations. Especially Butcher confronting his past. There is going to be a serious character turn for him, Homelander and Soldier Boy included..Hughie was and will continue to be the Boys team's moral voice...
I really love watching these interviews after watching the episode. It gives me a new found respect for everything
There's a reason it was nominated at the Emmys for Best Drama. At first it's like haha ok, best drama....But when you analyze the characters, it really is a great Drama.
I like Antony's performance more and more as the series goes on 👏
I absolutely love twist and turns. Complications. I can’t think of anyone I’d rather have complicating everything like Jensen can. I love every character on the show. Ashley oh my! She’s definitely complicated. The addition of Soldier Boy just made everything way way better for me.

I saw a video weeks ago talking about how one big f*ck up Huey's arc was, completely forgetting about Robin and throwing himself onto Starlight like nothing happened and pretending like she never even existed when in fact i find it very natural after the traumatic events he lived through, he is repressing all the stress. Only to end up 2 episodes ago snapping at A-Train for EXACTLY that reason. He didn't forget, he doesn't want to remember, you can really see him almost choking and, gulping a lot when confronting him. But knowing that he is far stronger now cause of the temp V he just hits him, i find it perfect.
i didn't notice the parallel first time around but the conversation hughy had with soldier boy was pretty on the nose, about putting your emotions aside during a mission, even after butcher has a wake up call, he still reverts back to "soldier mode" until becca is avenged instead of worrying about hughy DIRECTLY after that mindcrusher (whatever his name is) experience
I love that you are getting more into the characters' heads. We get to see more of what the actors can do.
The animation mixed in the show was absolutely aw inspiring and breathtaking I thought it was beautiful
You can see Jesson tried so hard and talk very slowly in the end of the interview haha
I'm interested to see what SB's motivations are now that he knows Homie is his son. This bombshell totally reshapes the rest of season 3.

Can't wait for the finale. That father(Solider boy) and son(Homie) duo is coming.
I mean they are going all out with this season. The first two felt like the drumroll leading up to this season with how Homelander is getting so close to finally flipping his lid. And Butcher and Hughie are now completely fixated on finishing the job. We'll probably get a few more seasons but this has been the best one so far.
Really wish they gave soldier boy that war History background, would've been really cool.

I quite like that they dont follow the comic note for note. Most of the time when a show or movie does that it turns out to be a detriment. But in this series it reaaaallly works
IMO, the show is quite a bit better than the comics. Both are great but the show just nails it and the things they changed make a lot of sense and fit really well.

Soldier Boy: “No, I am your father”
Homelander: *shits himself*

I like what Kripke is doing with the story. But I really wish we had more input from Garth Ennis when Kripke starts talking about the main characters' background and psyches.

Very cool of Kripke to keep that detail from Jensen since the character of Soldier Boy didn’t find out until this episode. Idk if that’s why or not, and I’m sure Jensen is a good enough actor to pretend his character doesn’t know, but I imagine it still adds to how he was building the character to have not known at first.
I love how international actors have made this magic with their talent (and story writers etc). I think Jensen might have given away what happens in the next episode at the end of the interview. Soldier Boy will still be on The Boys side, saying that if he had been around to raise Homelander, he wouldn't have grown to be the F-up that he has become. Mark my words, and thank you Jensen :)

Before they revealed that SB was Homelanders father I was thinking that it would be really cool if SB and what's her name that's watching Ryan were secretly his parents. I was at least half right.
Heard a pretty fucked up but also pretty plausible theory. Stormfront is the only other flying superhero we’ve seen. Maybe they gave her SB seed thus why HL can also fly. That would also mean homelander’s been fucking his mom.

I doubt Mallory, a non-supe, would be who they would choose for the egg donor. Plus she wasn't part of Vought and thought the Supes were all idiots.

2.) Soldier Boy is going to put the idea of violently taking over America in Homelander's head, possibly dying while telling him that
I’m worried that MM is going to risk his life trying to knock out SB and/or Homelander, based on the discovery Frenchie made in this episode
So I got a theory. Homelander is strong and practically indestructible because of solder boy. But he can fly whereas soldier boy can't. I can think of one supe which can fly. *drumroll* Stormfront.
Homelander has been sleeping with his mum which would also line up with his Oedipus complex arc lol
Stormfront can't fly, she uses her electrical powers to propel her.

I was expecting to SB and HL to get common ground and join forces because of their similarites. Their attitude and their relationship with their team but I didnt expect they were father and son
I always thought the parrells were to show they were similar/as bad as each other. Which shows SB was the original version of homelander and neither could be trusted. Not that they were related. I was very surprised.

I wasn’t really a big fan of Anthony in season one, maybe just because of the suit padding thinking he is just another actor; like marvels iron fist: too lazy to go to the gym. Then in season 3 the first episode where they have Anthony doing a screening of the re-release of the dawning of the seven; with Maive where Anthony was looking bored and sides interests until sometime took his picture and in a split second he went into the best smile. I became a huge fan that he is such versatile actor
I wonder when they record these interviews. Like did the interviewer get to see the season before it was released to know how to ask the spoiler questions? Or maybe they go in blind? I'm assuming they're all shot in bulk but I dunno, it'd be interesting to know.
Yeah they’re all wearing the same clothes in each one of these post-episode vids, so I’m assuming that’s what’s happening here. I know some select people got to see the season ahead of time just so that EW could make these videos and increase engagement with social media, seems to happen a lot? Not sure tho
The climax of the season was episode 6 and now episode 7 and 8 work as setup for the next season.

I think Butcher woke up from the mindstorm himself, which is why Mindstorm looked shocked for a moment there.
I just think it’s ironic how art imitates reality and reality imitates art. It’s a loop that is driving me nuts with movies now. We all know the media lies yet we are still listening to them and shows are making fun of it right in our face like it’s a joke…it’s weird and honestly doesn’t help with the division and polarization in this country. I just wish I could watch a show without being told my beliefs or their beliefs are wrong. 🙄

The big reveal about SB being Homelanders dad is one of those rare twists that nobody saw coming, even all the RUclips theory channels didn’t see it coming.
