I'm assuming there's hours worth of orgy footage/explosion aftermath footage, so what we saw was just a glimpse of what the crew had to deal with for several days. Like especially after the explosion, recording a bunch of naked people covered in blood and possibly with limbs destroyed. I'm assuming they couldn't use everything, but yeah still a crazy episode, and I'm grateful for what the crew went through.
Noticed something really interesting: 17:30 Anthony was talking about the scene where Homie got pinned down and at first he was just describing the scene, so obviously he’s talking in his natural accent. But at 17:50 when he suddenly reflects internally to describe how Homie would feel, his mind momentarily switched to the character and verbal physique changed too, so thoroughly that here last line he said was in Homie’s American accent! 🤯 Anthony’s acting was going beyond the world this season, HUGE RESPECT! 🤯🤯🤯
I noticed that too. Don't know the timestamp but yeah, the last part of his answer is def in an American accent. Interesting to think how using accents different than one's own affects actors irl.
@@D_Ella1269 I think acting at certain points is practically a much weaker and more controllable level of dissociative identity disorder, you develop a different personality than you own and when the shooting ends you shut it down. But sometimes that second personality may just accidentally slip out.
holy shit this is so good, thank you! not just accents, his voice changed too. notice how when Homey speaks his voice is much deeper and stronger, whereas the kiwi one sounds lighter with less chest voice
There is a pretty good chance Annie's gonna get killed at the end, especially after this episode but also because this is the 4th time in a row an episode has ended with Annie.
i hope not, she seems to be like the only nice supe LOL ik they dont stick to the comics much so its up in the air, but i hope kripke doesnt kill her off 😭
I'd hope not because they have developed her character so well but you probably right. I think it'd be next season though, because Starlight is probably the only supe that can take down Vic and I think they are building that up in this episode. I think someone close to Annie dies by Homelander in Ep 7 like Maeve
Like the comics, I think Annie and Hughie are the only sure fire survivors of the show. I've enjoyed Maeve's redemption so I hope she at least gets to go out fighting.
althought the herogasm part wasn't as crazy as i expected im so much happier with how they executed the episode its way better then i could've imagined
i love the part at 13:40 bc it confirms what translusent said in s1 and how his real power is reading people and watching when they arent aware and how v just amplified that into being invisable

Wow this episode was epic.If it had more episodes per season this would of been it's midseason finale. It certainly had a cliffhanger type of vibe to Herogasm. It raised so many questions. Is A-train still alive? If he is he will likely retire from the 7 due to his heart problem. It looks like the 7 is dismantling. Will Butcher and Hughie be able to get more Temp-V now that Maeve is missing or dead? Will Butcher and Hughie try to get compound V to make their powers permanent? What are the damaging effects of taking Temp-V ? Hughie pulled some goo out of his ear that looked like blood. Did we see Soldier boy at full strength? He released that blast right before the big fight maybe it weakens his maximum strength and in a rematch he could match Homelanders strength.
Ironic how for how built up this episode was you expect to be the most crude episode so far in terms of tone and humor and there are definitely that same type of humor sprinkled throughout the episode but it turned out to be one of the most poignant episodes far in terms of of character development and breaking of relationships

@@davidgreen3001 The Boys, Better Call Saul, It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, Everything Everywhere all at once, Stranger Things, The Northman, Succession, Love Sex and Robots. I might have done a little more then 5 there.
Episode 6 of the Boys was the best thing I've ever watched on The Boys show!! I really like how Eric Kripke takes risks/chances and isn't afraid to do so! Huge payoff. Aside from the Orgy though, the fight scene was amazing and A-Trans Kabal Fatality hah. I also have to hand it to Amazon Prime, their decision "we knew this was coming... ok... just go do it!" HUGE POINTS TO AP!
What Annie did will pille up a big mountain of bodies since Homie will totaly lose it, so those 12-20 people that died in that orgy will be nothing compared to what HL will do, and it all will be on Annie and her idea. Butcher was close to release that airplane footage but he was smart enought to know what would happen if he did...and now Annie did that.
I was thinking this too. I saw tweets saying that Ackles, Urban, Starr, and Quaid were carrying this season, but the entire cast this season has been amazing.
It's almost too bad the V24 effects are so short. I think if Hughie had an opportunity to learn and train his new abilities, he could have killed Homelander. Imagine being able to selectively teleport PART of his target, say like just Homelander's head from his body, or maybe even just teleporting all of Homelander, but having him materialize in solid concrete.
I'm a Teleportation Nerd, Hughies Power is Inconsistent, I can accept that he is untrained so clothes fall off and in and adrenaline rush he TPs another person... but that kind of Breaks the Rules of Supe Powers. If he cant instantly tp clothes than training shouldn't make a difference. Its spacial displacement of the ORGANIC body that houses The V. Or in other words he can only TP his own body. Termite and translucent confirm this rule to be true. Kripke wrote himself into a corner there so he broke his own rules, or bent them really far. Edit: lots of you get angry at an opinion huh? Oh the internet.
@Humphreys the problem is that the blast is not istantaneous, needs time to charge, and so you need Homelander pinned. Especially difficult if he's flying
@Humphreys I think it's a charge and in the Homelander fight was first time he was trying to make a blast. Every other time he just had a reaction to something: waking up, hearing the music, etc
Loved the cameos, the story developments, the party was very good. I was surprised at how tame most of it was based on the actors’ previews. It was enough though. We got the point. Bravo!
He was referring to what they were parodying with that scene. Gal Gadot did the exact same thing at the start of the pandemic with her celebrity friends, and they sang the same song. Their video was ridiculed and got made fun of SO BAD lol.
I’m gonna be honest I thought Herogasm was gonna be crazy but its not that crazy they don’t focus on it so I didn’t see the need for the warning before episode. But thats just me.
I was a little surprised how little screentime it got after all the actors saying it's craziest thing ever. Spartacus orgy scene was crazier lol This was the best episode of the series by far but I was just disappointed with it being a c list thing when in comics all the big names were involved. Deep, Starlight, A Train were all there by chance do the most notable supes were Blue hawk, Termite, and TNT lol.
My top 3 predictions for how the season could end (fyi I have never read the comics) 1. Homelander get his powers taken away 2. Starlight gets killed 3. Frenchie gets killed
Yeah, number 1 is like tbe biggest possibility, cuz they cant kil him off yet, but smth gotta give. Plus him being a vulnerable powerless human is hella fun to explore next season.

@@probox88 Oh yeah, I know what you mean. I remember the Season 2 after shows. I thought the format was kind of lame. Like, the sound effects and trivia games or whatever they added in. I much prefer these interviews too.
And I have a feeling that they did it for real... Which is why they were traumatized. Hence "fluids everywhere"
I think the most crazy deviant thing this episode was the deep and his squid
Mother's milk would disagree with you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Octopus
Noticed something really interesting:
17:30 Anthony was talking about the scene where Homie got pinned down and at first he was just describing the scene, so obviously he’s talking in his natural accent. But at 17:50 when he suddenly reflects internally to describe how Homie would feel, his mind momentarily switched to the character and verbal physique changed too, so thoroughly that here last line he said was in Homie’s American accent! 🤯
Anthony’s acting was going beyond the world this season, HUGE RESPECT! 🤯🤯🤯
The meat riding is crazy
I noticed that too. Don't know the timestamp but yeah, the last part of his answer is def in an American accent. Interesting to think how using accents different than one's own affects actors irl.
@@D_Ella1269 I think acting at certain points is practically a much weaker and more controllable level of dissociative identity disorder, you develop a different personality than you own and when the shooting ends you shut it down. But sometimes that second personality may just accidentally slip out.
@mxllo ask your mother.
holy shit this is so good, thank you! not just accents, his voice changed too. notice how when Homey speaks his voice is much deeper and stronger, whereas the kiwi one sounds lighter with less chest voice
There is a pretty good chance Annie's gonna get killed at the end, especially after this episode but also because this is the 4th time in a row an episode has ended with Annie.
I didnt catch that, good eye
yeah :(( very worrying
i hope not, she seems to be like the only nice supe LOL ik they dont stick to the comics much so its up in the air, but i hope kripke doesnt kill her off 😭
I'd hope not because they have developed her character so well but you probably right.
I wish Frenchie and Kimiko were here to talk about their character moments in this episode
i love the part at 13:40 bc it confirms what translusent said in s1 and how his real power is reading people and watching when they arent aware and how v just amplified that into being invisable
Man, you can just tell Eric Kripke must be so fun to work with.
he'll definitely keep an actor on their toes. never get boring working for him.
Soldier Boy is my favorite by far! Rapture intro is next level w/Jansen!!!
17:13 night crawler reference I like it
This was the best episode of the entire series. It was amazing. The Herogasm stuff was hyped up just so we could be blown away by literally everything else.
the Deep finally saved one of his friends.
In memory of Timothy.
I love that Anthony references BAMF, Nightcrawler is my favorite X-Men.
Why is no one talking about how unrecognizable Erin Moriarty is now?
Dude, she looks so different with the surgery and not in a good way. I don't know why she did this. The work on her nose makes her voice all nasally too 😢
@@Naruke0Nick Yeah I wasn't sure if she had surgery or lost weight or got sick or something but it's definitely not a good look
Yeah, the Herogasam scenes were cool but the Pay Off for ME was finally getting to see Homelander get his Ass kicked!! Seriously! That fight was Way more rewarding for me than the nudity. I also liked the final A-Train scene. Wow.
Awesome cast! And a well-deserving of an Emmy! Hence, as little as screen time was allotted to Cherie she outstandingly rocked the casbah! Can't wait for her back story! Great interview BTW!
An Emmy for what?
@@ben1ben2ben1 Duh?! For the job well done, and keeping us entertained for the last 3Ss even on the lockdown, don't you think Antony, Karl, The Showrunner, the writers and especially the Casting Drector delivered?!
Idk why seeing Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher had me cracking up so much
Wow this episode was epic.If it had more episodes per season this would of been it's midseason finale.
Season 3 of the Boys is NEXT LEVEL! I love this show so much! I'm hoping there will be many more seasons to come!
Wished they would discuss the A-train's death.
Maybe they’re hiding something...
It's cuz he's not dead
They never actually showed him die
Shoutout to referring to Hughie as "bamfing"
Hell yeah, dunno if set told em or if he knew.
But that was nice 🤘🏾👍🏾
Ironic how for how built up this episode was you expect to be the most crude episode so far in terms of tone and humor and there are definitely that same type of humor sprinkled throughout the episode but it turned out to be one of the most poignant episodes far in terms of of character development and breaking of relationships
I thought it was hysterical and ironic that Homelander and Soldier Boy fight as opposed to what they actually did at Herogasm in the comics
Do they...do they do it? ☠️
@@MCOGroupNews yes they do
This show is what we needed this last years! cause as we know tv series and movies these day are so fckin bad and boring. This show is unique and so damn good! MORE PLEASE!
I feel like thats a very pessimistic view on things there's SO many amazing tv series and movies these days, there's so many awful ones but it's always been that way. There's alot of shit and alot of good shit.
If u think all is bad then you're just watching bad n boring ones
@@Keyecomposer "so many amazing tv series and movies these days" name 5.
@@emyf9197 hmm any recommendations then?
Mother's Milk, meet Father's Milk
I like how Antony describe Hughie "Bamfing" around, like Nightcrawler.
That was such a great episode. I had NO idea what it was going to be but I LOVED IT SO MUCH!
How the hell is there not a weak link in this cast?!
I was thinking this too. I saw tweets saying that Ackles, Urban, Starr, and Quaid were carrying this season, but the entire cast this season has been amazing.
@@Sharpe1502 I’m not a big fan of Claudia’s or the woman who plays Cassandra. They’re the weakest links, IMO.
I think Black noir has been putting up an Emmy worthy performance
@@Lavolpeengreece such a beautiful singing voice
Best episode right now. Fight scene soo amazing. Thanks guys
Jensen is gorgeous
The way Anthony Starr try to talk about Homelander as a third person is weird.... Man you're Homelander. And I love you.
@@thesnailmail4259 I disagree, respectfully
@@thesnailmail4259 fiction.
@@thesnailmail4259 ok bud. You want validation points or a cookie?
@@thesnailmail4259 there was a kid in adoption agency who could teleport with full clothes on. When Hughie went to investigate Nadya's past.
17:22 basically gave the same energy of Homelander''s "He is just a man and... by the looks of it, not much of one."
Homelander still held his own in a 1v3. They gonna have to do better
Gonna need Maeve or Starlight, I wonder if MM would take the V if push came to shove
@Humphreys the problem is that the blast is not istantaneous, needs time to charge, and so you need Homelander pinned. Especially difficult if he's flying
@Humphreys mini blast
@Humphreys he just blew a huge load not even minutes earlier, probably drained a bit
Bravo!
Had to double check and rewatch that scene, after he said there were Gal Gadot. Got me there, dude.
He didn’t tho
He was referring to what they were parodying with that scene. Gal Gadot did the exact same thing at the start of the pandemic with her celebrity friends, and they sang the same song. Their video was ridiculed and got made fun of SO BAD lol.
@@nissan_skyline ot was so painfully tone deaf! I still cringe thinking about it and I bet she does too
It's kind of funny that all these celebrity cameos were in that Imagine parody. 🤣
The best scene in this episode was the new "CEO" going apeshit on A-Train.
Prime Video should have an Uncensored Version of the Episode
Why does Erin Moriarty already look like she's going full barbie doll? She looks better in sweats on the show
I’m gonna be honest I thought Herogasm was gonna be crazy but its not that crazy they don’t focus on it so I didn’t see the need for the warning before episode. But thats just me.
People just don't give af anymore. That would have been unthinkable 20 years ago
@@codyrockarano5220 yeah
I was a little surprised how little screentime it got after all the actors saying it's craziest thing ever. Spartacus orgy scene was crazier lol
This was the best episode of the series by far but I was just disappointed with it being a c list thing when in comics all the big names were involved.
Deep, Starlight, A Train were all there by chance do the most notable supes were Blue hawk, Termite, and TNT lol.
The warning was Kripke taking the piss, he's like that with fans.
I think mirror scene was quintessential turn for series, a bit disappointing that they skip it.
Its Hughie's favourite episode, so is it ours(yet!)
My top 3 predictions for how the season could end (fyi I have never read the comics)
1. Homelander get his powers taken away
2. Starlight gets killed
3. Frenchie gets killed
Yeah, number 1 is like tbe biggest possibility, cuz they cant kil him off yet, but smth gotta give. Plus him being a vulnerable powerless human is hella fun to explore next season.
Anyone else wonder if the actor for starlight got face work done? Idk why i just feel like she looks so different than she does in the show
I think her eyebrows look weird
I think she lost a lot of weight for some reason
Absolutely ! That was my first though when i saw her on the first episode of season 3 !
@@GNBE-ll7ot its digital make up
Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. Her nose, forehead, and mouth area looks different.
I think annie is gonna die saving hughie and hes gonna have to live with the fact the 2 women he loved died by supes
they couldn't do that this season. season 4's already confirmed and they wouldn't nix a main character already. I think you're completely right in the later seasons though
In the comics Hughie and Starlight are the only 2 of the main cast to come out of all this
@@themightykingjosiah8810 yea i dont think they are gonna change anne and hughie's arc from comics. I think this series will end the same way comics ended cuz its legendary and a deserved ending.
And judging by how they are going i think we have a sloud 3 more seasons left cuz we are literally at haflway thru the comics.
Lol massive spoiler, thanks bud
@@tsepontelele2588 you are welcome. I have your name saved. I will make it my mission to tell you about more spoilers. I love public service and making people happy.
I love these reviews of every episode
I was really hoping that it would turn out that homelander couldnt actually fight well seeing that hes so OP that hes never faced a full on brawl
Honestly he can't fight he just threw hard fast punches out of fear because he's never faced a person who could take his punch and live or even dodge his punch yes he dodged some of SB and Butcher's punches but that's only coz he might be faster than them too but it was clear that SB and Butcher were better fighters coz they are former soldiers
Homelander fought like someone stronger who doesn't know how to fight
SB and Butcher fought like guys who weren't as strong but knew how to fight with skill
Karl Urban is slowly turning into the Red Hulk with each new interview... 🤔
What I loved the most abou this ep is how much it obliterated the status quo, I legitimately don't know wtf is gonna happen next
Me too man
No pun intended but I feel this episode blew its load. What are the next two episodes building up to now? I’m both terrified and so excited to see what’s gonna happen next!
Edit: the show did not blow its load
So am I 😁
Homelander is going to destroy the earth
Wait till you learn the show can blow more than one load back to back 😁😅
A train is dead train now
My goodness, why did Erin Moriarty get plastic surgery...She looked so good before
Because vanity
It's Hollywood. Lots of actors succumb to the pressure to get work done. It's just not usually as obvious as it is with Erin Moriarty.
I was wondering if she got work done. Ugh
Same man, I was shocked seeing her in this video. She looks like she is in her mid 40th (in the recap video) and that might explain why she has this weird looking filter on her in alot of scenes.
This is why I'm vehemently against plastic surgery -there's a place for it for like genuine injuries/facial disfigurement and what not but other than that all I see is people who are considered beautiful by millions too insecure to accept themselves despite the constant validation they get from millions and they go and fuck up their face.
This season is incredibly good. Thanks for all team and cast💖💖💖
the thing i like the most is the name of the episode reflecting the first time homelander fights some of the boys on drugs and... and soldier boy along = herogasm :))) genius
I fear for Annie, because after this episode, pretty much everyone from Vought and Soldier Boy want her dead. Or something worse.
You replaced supers and simple people. Supers demonstrate simple human feelings: Homelander, Starlight, A-Train (moment with afro-americans protection), and Butcher with Hughie, that become "supers" and they like it.
The point that Huey's actor brought up about V bringing out your weird strengths/neurosis is hella astute.
jack Quaid seems so sweet!
There' s no words to describe this show! Just the best one
Antony called it Bamf-ing my day is made
Thanks for doing these recaps you guys! We appreciate you
There hasn't been alotta good television come out lately, but "the boys" have finally changed that.
Com’on Kripkie… now we need a Diabolical herogasm ‘52 episode featuring Aya and Jensen.
Definitely one the best episodes of an absolutely of a brilliant show, but the Herogasm element was more of a fun aside. The real meat of this installment (pun intended) was the action work and the overarching plot points established.
Why is Jack Quaid dressed more like Hughie in his hotel? Lol
