I’m not a musical fan but this sequence fit so well here to be kimiko‘s fantasy, to see her so happy singing and dancing and then just cut back to her room and the mood shifts. Honestly just want everything for her and frenchie, they deserve it 😭
I love how Jensen can show his character's emotions with just his eyes. I hope Soldier Boy continues in season 4, it would be a waste to kill him in this season.
Offing him fits the show’s story pattern. Homelander is a dck. They get something to hold keep him in check, then they remove that thing. Rinse and repeat.
It would actually be great if he joined the seven. Adds a whole new element to the show where not only do the boys have to figure out how to deal with an even bigger problem but, it would finally make it where homelander feels threatened for once in the area he feels basically untouchable. The power dynamic between those two screams great writing and I’d be surprised if Kripke doesn’t capitalize on that.
I’m honestly surprised how well they’ve tackled Soldier Boy this episode. He went from being some cocky, sexist, overpowered dude of his time to a terrified and traumatized fish out of water who’s out for blood. Plus Jensen’s juxtaposed performance is amazing. Looking forward to seeing what direction they’re going with this team up.
Exactly and they're making him a very likeable antihero. He's gonna be a good matchup to Homelander but I bet he's gonna betray Butcher and team up with Homelander cause they're so much alike.
@@jonfreeman9682 I have no doubt about that. Just because Soldier Boy can possibly take away Homelander’s powers does not mean that he’s a Boy Scout, more just a necessary evil. @Srushti Oza M.M did up freeze up when soldier boy was shown. He was so angry when he saw Soldier Boy kill 19 people that he froze up and remembered his traumatic childhood, hence why he left his daughter to go chase leads on SB
Showing some love for Laurie Holden. She's such an underutilized actor! She would've been a great addition to The Boys, but I get what had to be done to her character for the story arc. Excellent choice with her, though.
Karen Fukuhara is absolutely beautiful. And holy shit man Jensen Ackles looks so fucking awesome while jacked. As if it enhances his facial features. My idols are still Karl Urban and Antohony Starr though, I would kill to have either of their looks. Especially Anthony Starr.
I don't care who is killed or tortured, but if Kimiko and Frenchie don't get a happy ending, I'm going to be furious. Then again Kripke killed Ellen and Jo, so... I don't expect him to have a soul.
The only one of The Boys that’s probably not getting a happy ending is Butcher, if Kripke does somewhat follow the ending of the comic, only Hughie and Starlight will get a happy ending
After I watched the episode, I realized that was gonna happen. It’s clear Black Noir is strong and a lethal superhero but not invincible…the seven might be losing another member soon 😬
I wonder how Soldier Boy is going to react to finding out Butcher killed Gunpowder, like will he be glad he is dead, will he be pissed he didn't get to do it himself, or will he have a soft spot for him and be mad Butcher killed him.
The parallels between soldier boy and crimson countess along with homelander and queen Maeve is uncanny! In a way, this scene is a foreshadow towards queen Maeve’s death, along with her line, “I have it coming…”.
Choosing "I Got Rhythm" was a fantastic choice. Think about what it means. Kimiko hopes to finally be free of "ol man trouble."... I don't think she will get her wish.
17:20 i think it's a good point by erin here, you wouldn't expect it from hughie. but in another way you can understand why hughie feels the way he does
I recently finished Supernatural few months before The Boys season 3 came out and when I came to know Jensen's gonna be on this show, I couldn't help but think that "Is there gonna be Dean Winchester on The Boys?" because I couldn't seperate the actor from the character that he played for good long 15 years, I know even if I tried I'd still see 'Dean Winchester' in soldier boy but to my surprise that didnt happen at all, Jensen potrayed Soldier boy so well that not even for once I felt that this character was anywhere near 'Dean', he completely morphs into different character, and even though he did not have a lot of dialogues, the cruel and evil expression of his eyes were enough to reflect his character's true nature, Dean's character, being a protagonist, the hero, never had that kind of expression, but Soldier Boy was something completely different. Jensen's an amazing actor, and quite underrated, I hope we get to see more of this versatile actor in future.
Now supernatural is over Jensen is moving away from Dean. soldier boy is an great move upwards and beyond, to show how much more of an actor he could be. especially amongst such an amazingly talented cast.he managed to step up to the same level of the boys. amongst Karl and Anthony he worked perfectly with those two stand outs.
The musical was such an amazing addition. Amidst all the heads exploding and stuff, it was really lovely to see Frenchie and Kimiko being goofy and well, lovestruck. I didn't exactly get Erin's toxic masculinity point. To me personally, Hughie came out as someone who's blaming himself to be weak for everything that has happened. The part where he asks Kimiko to break his hand, seemed like a significant character moment for me. That yes, Hughie is finally annoyed enough by all of this and just wanna be done with everything. Annie also told Hughie to not team up with Butcher(I mean he's no less of a murderer) and that turned out better than expected.
Well, i believe by toxic masculinity she meant that he wasnt into being all powerfull all the time untill he felt like he needed to and than he just kept wanted to (V24 addiction) and that makes him lose what made him special, as she called it unambigously good, down to earth regular guy who didnt care about dating a supe girl because "it made him feel weak" compared to her that is. N
11:20 I think the boys's members would have discussed this actually that this might come to do sacrificing other people to take down homelander and the stakes are gonna get higher each passing day and there might be a time they might start fighting each other based on moral compasses of each members, who wants to go that far
That musical scene was just gorgeous. I’m not usually big on musical numbers but they can be good when they help describe something about a character and their state of mind. And this sequence did that in spades. Karen Fukuhara sold it really well. Every frame she looked super happy. It makes sense that it was something she the actor was ecstatic to do because that shines through in her performance and it serves the story as it is descriptive of a moment of ecstasy for her character. Although it will be short lived when she learns that frenchie has been taken and she can no longer use her powers to get him back
with such little screen time on the boys as of yet and completely dominating any scene jensen is in you can clearly see this man is on a different level with his craft
Yes probably there is a slimmer of toxic masculinity but it's not paradoxical cause the ultimate fear in Hughie's subconscious is the opening scene of the whole show, the fate of Robin being repeated.
It's toxic because he's ignoring what she wants. When you insist on doing something despite multiple times being told by the person you say you are doing it for they don't want or need it, that's toxic. You aren't doing it for them, your doing it for YOU. Remember Becca and Mallory both talking about how Butcher was using what happened to Becca as an excuse to just do what he really wanted, same here for Hughie.
@@meeee4997 this is absolutely stupid and you are 199% a woman. It's not toxic to not adhere to someone else wishes. Especially if you try to get protected. What you propose it utterly insane schizo fascism. Where's "my body my choice"? Mmm? Showing your true colors every single time.
@@meeee4997 hughie has also felt useless in front of the boys. Not just Annie. He's an insecure guy who's felt useless his entire life. He's not trying to be the white knight who'll save the princess.
I'm a bit taken back by Erin's comment about "toxic masculinity." Regardless if your partner is male or female, if you know your partner is in danger, you would act... wouldn't you? Hughie feels powerless because he literally is in this story. So now he has the temporary ability to leave his underwear and clothes behind... lol. But all jokes aside, Hughie does respect Starlight and has followed her lead. But when you know that Homelander can turn Starlight into ashes, her stature as a supe no longer protects her and Hughie realizes this.
I imagined it as he is so terrified of losing another person he loves to a two faced supe, the same way he lost Robin. I thought that is the main drive behind him pushing the line further because the last thing he wants is to lose her.
Its definitely a inferiority complex not toxic masculinity. Season 3 just focuses on Annie and Hughie a lot so it seems like toxic masculinity between them. But Hughie was saved by Kimiko, saved by Butcher, his dad says he aint shit, A-Train says it, Butcher says it, Frenchie and MM want to buy him a new car whenever he is competent. Hughie just feels useless 24/7 and inferior so the V is him feeling like he's worth something now while he was always worth something to Annie. That's the dynamic
Yeah their relationship this season has been one of the weakest parts of the show. Like cmon Starlight it’s Homelander, taking v24 is the most sensible thing to do even if he doesn’t go with butcher. So illogical like why are you pushing him away even tho Homelander has already threatened his life, your powers aren’t enough to protect him and he would be at a greater risk with you in New York. Being with Soldier Boy and Billy is a much safer option as you might have the only thing to kill Homelander. It’s that or witness protection where Starlight couldn’t be with him and is still at risk with Homelander already finding Ryan in the same scheme.
When Jensen said “turn this off right now” in a firm tone, I indeed turned it off even though I saw the ep. However, I did immediately click back on because no one tells me what to do.🤣😂🤣🤣
I personally don't see any "toxic masculinity" from Hughie at all. He wants to be able to help. He wants to be useful. He isn't telling Annie not to use her powers or not to be strong, he just wants to be able to contribute. There's nothing toxic about it. She gets upset that he wants to team up with a murderer, but did she forget that Hughie killed Translucent? Technically he is a murderer too. I know they want to create drama in their relationship, as all shows do at some point, I just don't see it as "toxic masculinity" in this case. Just my opinion.
Exactly! I didn't get that from him at all. I think what really set him down this road was when he found out Victoria was with Stan. He really felt like he was doing good and the right way.
I agree I feel it had more to do with a personal thing for Hughie not about the relationship. It seemed more like at this point he felt that he needed to contribute more by seeing everything she has done recently and he wants to help out more not in a sense of being out shined but more like what can I do to make a difference.
I agree since when has it become Toxic to want to protect the person you love? Starlight cannot take down homelander on her own and in his head he will be thinking about how long until homelander kills her he is doing "whatever it takes" to protect her not because he feels inadequate by her but because he knows they are both nothing compared to homelander
Yeah, I didn't get that it was toxic. People seem to forget that this all started for him when his girlfriend was killed by a supe. Of course he might get a little desperate wanting to prevent that from happening again.
@Srushti Oza I get what you're saying, but I don't think he's intimidated by her abilities, I think he feels useless overall, even amongst the Boys. He feels like he isn't contributing to the cause like he should be. He isn't telling Annie to sit around and wait for him to save the day, he just feels bad that she's done everything so far and is always in a direct line of danger with Homelander and he wants to relieve some of that burden and do his part to help bring him down. It would only be "toxic" if he didn't want Annie to participate and told her to just go sit down and look pretty, but he's not doing that. He just wants to contribute and help. He doesn't want to be dead weight. He wants to be useful.
It didn't feel like Hughie was showing toxic masculine behaviour as Erin Moriarty said. It actually felt like both Annie and Hughie do what they do to protect what they have. Hughie also uses Temp V to feel powerful which is due to euphoric effects of the drug. When saying that he will protect her from Homelander, he doesn't mention anything or anyone besides him (afaik). Homelander is like the only threat that can hurt Annie, therefore I think Hughie just doesn't want her to be end up dead, which is the same thing what Annie does as a hero. Edit: I think this subject is clarified with Episode 6.
Yeah I agree. She was off on that opinion. Hughie was always a Supe fan Before A Train Killed Robin, you’d have to feel happy and more optimistic now that the playing fields more level considering their Opponents.
Agree, Hughie and Butcher wanna get rid of the biggest threat to everyone's safety. Ironically, it looks like they are roping in an even bigger threat to fight him... I think Hughie using Temp V is mostly about feeling powerless and weak, not only in relation to Annie, but also to Butcher, MM, Frenchie, Kimiko, Neuman, etc.
@@anndruh Noooo 🤦♂️ Hughie is taking an untested V he could have turned into a a jelly bag Annie doesnt need to be storngest around she is stubborn about using fire to fight fire
Would be cool to have hughie view to known each other point of view but I think he is feeling powerless to be at homelander mercy anytime and also starlight being in danger and having to put up with him. So it's complicated cause she feel even though she can't beat homelander hughie doesn't have to go the corrupted road to kill him.
Great story but soldier boy isn't powerful enough to take on Homelander. He can't fly and doesn't have laser beams. His power beam from his chest is too slow to warm-up to use. But he might have a chance if team up with Butcher.
Musical sequence was fantastic and felt so organic even in a show as grim as this. As for Hughie + temp V, i am of two minds about it, but i disagree that his decision is borne of toxic masculinity. Hughie is exercising his judgement - literally flexing his muscles - a bit and she freaks out. Understandably Starlight is worried about his well-being and his choices are questionable, but Starlight has no better idea at this point. it's all so scary. I LOVE IT!
Someone watching a show can have 2 perspectives an Observer who watchs from above and have a dirrect deal with story tellers a normal person inside the universe who is a passive observer but is affected by changes in universe so as a person inside the universe both Homelander and SB are equally dangerous as an Observer we have only seen Homelander's evil nature and only want him to go down the thing is Butcher is teaming up with Homelander to beat homelander the difference is this time he is working with an evil guy
Yeah but solider boy has weaknesses and is way easier to kill than homelander, so it's like taking down the big bad wolf and replacing him with a feral dog
Wrote this on another comment but think it applies. Imo their relationship this season has been one of the weakest parts of the show. Like cmon Starlight it’s Homelander, taking v24 is the most sensible thing to do even if he doesn’t go with butcher. So illogical like why are you pushing him away even tho Homelander has already threatened his life, your powers aren’t enough to protect him and he would be a greater risk with you in New York. It’s that or witness protection where Starlight couldn’t be with him and is still at risk with Homelander already finding Ryan in the same scheme. They talk about toxic masculinity when it’s more feminine, Homelander is only getting more unhinged all rules kinda go out the window. Comes across as she doesn’t want him at her level because he would be at a greater risk… well that’s a fucking lie.
@@Skyhigh864 The difference is the motive. Huey isn't doing it because their backs are against the wall, he's doing it because he feels he wants to save Starlight for once, then after he does it he starts to show he's addicted to it and enjoys it. I think that argument would hold up if it were their last resort, but Huey's motives here are self-serving.
@@Zyphent yeah his motive from the start was to get back at Vought for Robin. The show and starlight kinda forgot about that, he wasn’t able to save his last girlfriend. I think he would like to save his current one, starlight making him feel guilty about that even tho he’s being doing it from when she met him it is just poor writing it’s not natural just forced plus all the other reasons I’ve mentioned. Huey arc of being a hero and standing up concluded in episode 1 of the show, he comes back to kill translucent if he hadn’t butcher would be dead. Huey has more than proved he’s capable yet the show always finds a way to put him down.
@@Skyhigh864 I don't think the show puts him down, in fact I think the show props him up as one of the few true "good guys" who still strives to do what's right. Even characters like MM and Butcher who you root for are more motivated by vengeance than what's right a lot of the time, Huey's goal was always to fight the system itself, not just get revenge. This season he's fallen a bit, because he tried to fight things the "right way" and it turns out that was corrupt too, so he's becoming like mini-butcher.
@@Zyphent Yeah that’s my point, he can’t go back to the CIA because of Neumann, can’t stay in New York with Homelander there, can’t really hide because Homelander has the power of Vought. His safest option is with butcher and possibly the only thing to kill him. He can teleport now as well. Starlight really should of just joined the Boys as the old plan went out the window. She never mentions Maeve being taken from memory plus in reality she needs the boys help for any hope of finding her. Also Starlight questions Huey joining up with a murderer when she’s killed an innocent person and Huey killed Translucent. It’s like Starlight has forgotten a lot. It was homelander last season, starlight this season. Starlight has no plan while at least with the Boys there is also she worked with Billy Butcher heavily last season even though he exploded a house with an infant in it. Also the jury is still out on Soldier Boy, personally I think he has been set up by Vought and they ruined his reputation so his team would go along with the plan to capture him for studying. Shapeshifters already exists in the universe. Also since they ain’t going with black noir twist they could changed it and give it to Soldier Boy and his storyline where maybe he’s a complete dick but not the things he’s made out to be.
To Hughie’s credit when they drugged mother’s milk didn’t die like super sonic did…. after starlight didn’t tell him not to recruit and didn’t tell him stfu, they got mother’s milk out the way.
And to the toxic masculinity part is what I don’t get. When it comes to the hero ranks so far starlight is losing to homelander, and hughie didn’t start taking the boaster until homelander was in his daily life and just said in just the last episode that he would kill hughie like he already killed super sonic… like she cannot protect him anymore. It’s not an inferior complex to starlight….. it’s to their worlds Superman has him as one his targets.
I really don't like that they're labeling Hughie's feelings this season as "toxic masculinity". Most of Hughies actions are brought on by the trauma he's had to face throughout these seasons. From watching Robin die right in front him to letting homelander and butcher bully him to not being able to do any mission without needing someone else to protect him. His feelings have nothing to do with him being "emasculated", it's about him simply feeling incompetent and worthless. It'd be toxic masculinity if he felt starlight should never protect him or anyone and she just stay behind him and be super submissive to him. That's not hughie AT ALL.
@@johnnytee911 You know what I mean, yes, of course Homelander is the main villain of the series. But Jensen and this character deserve better than a 3 episode arc. That's my take.

A small part of me was hoping soldier boy learned a lesson or would have been humbled by his experiences in Russia. But I know thats not the show I'm watching lol.
thats not toxic masculinity Thats insecureness about the self and about the competence, competence here meaning that he wants a place or an activity in which he is efficient and recognized, therefore, feeling complete and in ease, due to the human prefering activities that the individual is good at or identifies as good at. He also wants to be an ideal Self of him; this part in particular has been magnified by compound V and one could say it has been worsened by it, that Self being competent, courageous, capable and recognized; thats why he denied the offer from Vought, planned to suing them and later joined Butcher. Hughie does not want to be powerless against the life, he wants to fight even when his father told him that he does not have the courage to do so, the compound V only corrupted his will and turned that search for the ideal self, confidence and competence into an addiction to power, that he believes is what he needs to be useful, loved and competent. Im not inventing all of this shit, its al psychology and there are many other fictional character and REAL people that are women and feel the same way, the need of feeling valued and competent IS NOT exclusive of men hence this is not a case of toxic masculinity.
Yes. All the plastic surgery was SO jarring to me in the first episode of this season. She can't emote properly in scenes now, as her face has so much filler in it. It's very distracting. Such a shame that fame seems to have had such an effect on her self esteem. She was stunning before, and she's only 28!
I’m not sure how not wanting to be constantly helpless and regularly being saved by everyone around you because you’re weak is toxic masculinity. Everyone else is a secret agent or superhero, Hughie is constantly powerless and weak and it’s literally a whole part of his character. How is that toxic masculinity? Especially when your girlfriend is in literal deathly danger and you can’t save her. Honestly put a horrible taste in my mouth for the entire show for me which had been previously untarnished.
Why? I agree its kind of dumb but the actor didnt write the show, her interpretation of her character are obviously going to be filtered through her ideals as a person, shes isnt the person writing and making the show great tho

I rewatched the scene and you can see MM start to cry once he’s on the floor shit broke my heart such a huge betrayal by butcher
The Boys is now my favourite show on TV at the moment, I loved S1 & S2 but this season has gone to another level!
Karen Fukuhara was absolutely amazing and it's so easy to just be happy for her 😁
I watched the musical sequence like 4 times now and I bawl my eyes out every time to see the joy on Kimiko's (Karen's) face!
Showing some love for Laurie Holden. She's such an underutilized actor! She would've been a great addition to The Boys, but I get what had to be done to her character for the story arc. Excellent choice with her, though.
The worst part about all this is we're not getting anymore chimp related content.. WHAT ELSE CANT THEY DO?!?!?!
Nah Jensen is really killing this role as soldier boy🔥👏👏
Karen Fukuhara is absolutely beautiful.
And holy shit man Jensen Ackles looks so fucking awesome while jacked. As if it enhances his facial features.
My idols are still Karl Urban and Antohony Starr though, I would kill to have either of their looks. Especially Anthony Starr.
I don't care who is killed or tortured, but if Kimiko and Frenchie don't get a happy ending, I'm going to be furious. Then again Kripke killed Ellen and Jo, so... I don't expect him to have a soul.
The only one of The Boys that’s probably not getting a happy ending is Butcher, if Kripke does somewhat follow the ending of the comic, only Hughie and Starlight will get a happy ending
since Kimiko lost her powers the likelihood of her dying is kinda amplified
I'm looking forward to the matchup between Black Noir and Soldier Boy. He already went after Crimson Countess so I hope he keeps going down the list.
After I watched the episode, I realized that was gonna happen. It’s clear Black Noir is strong and a lethal superhero but not invincible…the seven might be losing another member soon 😬
i for one am looking forward to the matchup between soldier boy and cassius bright haha..
I wonder how Soldier Boy is going to react to finding out Butcher killed Gunpowder, like will he be glad he is dead, will he be pissed he didn't get to do it himself, or will he have a soft spot for him and be mad Butcher killed him.
@@NilqyTV black noir’s role is too big to kill him off (according to the source material). Soldier boy won’t make it past this season :/

The parallels between soldier boy and crimson countess along with homelander and queen Maeve is uncanny! In a way, this scene is a foreshadow towards queen Maeve’s death, along with her line, “I have it coming…”.

Probably Hughie
Choosing "I Got Rhythm" was a fantastic choice. Think about what it means. Kimiko hopes to finally be free of "ol man trouble."... I don't think she will get her wish.
17:20 i think it's a good point by erin here, you wouldn't expect it from hughie. but in another way you can understand why hughie feels the way he does

Someone cast this woman in a fucking musical yesterday.
I really wasn't expecting her voice to sound like that but God damn she sounds amazing
@@dreamermagister8561 Said it better than I could have
11:20 I think the boys's members would have discussed this actually that this might come to do sacrificing other people to take down homelander and the stakes are gonna get higher each passing day and there might be a time they might start fighting each other based on moral compasses of each members, who wants to go that far
Next episode we get a butcher v mm
They’re definitely gonna break up in season 4
That musical scene was just gorgeous. I’m not usually big on musical numbers but they can be good when they help describe something about a character and their state of mind. And this sequence did that in spades. Karen Fukuhara sold it really well. Every frame she looked super happy. It makes sense that it was something she the actor was ecstatic to do because that shines through in her performance and it serves the story as it is descriptive of a moment of ecstasy for her character. Although it will be short lived when she learns that frenchie has been taken and she can no longer use her powers to get him back
There's probably going to be a big buildup and then his power isn't going to work. Or he'll betray butcher before beating Homelander.
Do we know who's Homie's daddy? I mean... the donor.
@@Arrynek01 i feel that could be an angle to be played off. we shall see.
They're definitely gonna team up but then it'll go wrong because they both have the alpha dog mindset and will want to be in charge
Love the dynamucs of Honelander & Soldier Boy. Must have more of this! 🥰 😃
with such little screen time on the boys as of yet and completely dominating any scene jensen is in you can clearly see this man is on a different level with his craft
What a great episode and Soldier Boy rocks👍👍👍
Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) that deep voice
it's so good to see jensen on a show with good vfx
Karen is so pretty and talented and seems so sweet in every interview I’ve seen her!
Imma be honest idk why but I cried tears of joy in front of the musical part of the episode...
The build up is killing me! We need more Jensen. I can't wait to see a boss battle between him and homelander.
Yes probably there is a slimmer of toxic masculinity but it's not paradoxical cause the ultimate fear in Hughie's subconscious is the opening scene of the whole show, the fate of Robin being repeated.
Thank you. How is wanting to protect someone you love "toxic masculinity"?
It's toxic because he's ignoring what she wants. When you insist on doing something despite multiple times being told by the person you say you are doing it for they don't want or need it, that's toxic. You aren't doing it for them, your doing it for YOU. Remember Becca and Mallory both talking about how Butcher was using what happened to Becca as an excuse to just do what he really wanted, same here for Hughie.
@@meeee4997 Couldn't have made that clearer than that you have. Cheers mate!!💯💯
The balls of this show to stand out like it does is epic
When Jensen said “turn this off right now” in a firm tone, I indeed turned it off even though I saw the ep. However, I did immediately click back on because no one tells me what to do.🤣😂🤣🤣
I love both of these characters!
Someone cast Karen in a full length musical!
Homelander and Soldier Boy scene is going to be epic!
So wanting to protect the person you love is considered “toxic masculinity”??
@@garrettbarden5898 him being hung up on her being the stronger one is the toxic masculinity part.

I was waiting for this one, thank you :D
Great story but soldier boy isn't powerful enough to take on Homelander. He can't fly and doesn't have laser beams. His power beam from his chest is too slow to warm-up to use. But he might have a chance if team up with Butcher.
Honestly I really like the character and this actor was a fantastic choice
Im laughing in Tears with and the Seth Rogan" Explanation".... So May Innuendo's Im Bursting with Laughter
I LOVE IT!
Oou, well put.
i saw rumors about Soldier Boy SpinOff
i hope it happens
Enjoyed the musical sequence, but wouldn’t like an entire episode of it 😹
The first time kimiko spoke in this episode I fucking CRIED.
Someone watching a show can have 2 perspectives
an Observer who watchs from above and have a dirrect deal with story tellers
a normal person inside the universe who is a passive observer but is affected by changes in universe
so as a person inside the universe both Homelander and SB are equally dangerous
as an Observer we have only seen Homelander's evil nature and only want him to go down
the thing is Butcher is teaming up with Homelander to beat homelander
the difference is this time he is working with an evil guy
Yes, but he has kryptonite against one of these, which is this freeze bomb
Yeah but solider boy has weaknesses and is way easier to kill than homelander, so it's like taking down the big bad wolf and replacing him with a feral dog
Wow my heart after seeing gorgeous Karen so happy!!!! ☺️☺️☺️☺️
Just one question: she really spoke or was also a figment of imagination???
She really spoke
starlight: hughie is showing signs of toxic masculinity

Grief trauma is toxic masculinity, bravo Vince
To Hughie’s credit when they drugged mother’s milk didn’t die like super sonic did…. after starlight didn’t tell him not to recruit and didn’t tell him stfu, they got mother’s milk out the way.
And to the toxic masculinity part is what I don’t get. When it comes to the hero ranks so far starlight is losing to homelander,
and hughie didn’t start taking the boaster until homelander was in his daily life and just said in just the last episode that he would kill hughie like he already killed super sonic… like she cannot protect him anymore.
It’s not an inferior complex to starlight….. it’s to their worlds Superman has him as one his targets.
where's episode six's 😭
I really don't like that they're labeling Hughie's feelings this season as "toxic masculinity". Most of Hughies actions are brought on by the trauma he's had to face throughout these seasons. From watching Robin die right in front him to letting homelander and butcher bully him to not being able to do any mission without needing someone else to protect him. His feelings have nothing to do with him being "emasculated", it's about him simply feeling incompetent and worthless. It'd be toxic masculinity if he felt starlight should never protect him or anyone and she just stay behind him and be super submissive to him. That's not hughie AT ALL.

I don't think Hughie was showing toxic masculinity cause he isn't degrading anyone in the name of powers... yes he wants them but he never on the stake of someone's downfall
A small part of me was hoping soldier boy learned a lesson or would have been humbled by his experiences in Russia. But I know thats not the show I'm watching lol.
thats not toxic masculinity
Thats insecureness about the self and about the competence, competence here meaning that he wants a place or an activity in which he is efficient and recognized, therefore, feeling complete and in ease, due to the human prefering activities that the individual is good at or identifies as good at.
Erin Moriarty's nose job is really bad and off putting to me. She looked perfect before, now she just looks alien to me. Why do women do this?
