    Christmas makes markets, shopping malls, and nights in various countries so beautiful!
    Manila looks beautiful and great for shopping.
    I really hope I have the opportunity to travel there in the future!
    Thanks a lot for sharing, really great job! 👍🎅👏🎄🎉

    Zane, here's a little trivia. Rockwell used to be a real thermal power plant back in the 50s-70s. It was shut down after it burned down on December 14, 1973 (50 years ago to date)! The area was redeveloped as the business district and the mall (thus called Powerplant) we have today.

    If all those 20+ sprawling CBDs of METRO MANILA Major( MAKATI, BGC, ORTIGAS, FILINVEST CITY ALABANG)combined in a 1 location this would probably the biggest CENTRAL BUSINESS CENTER In ASIA and might be one in the WORLD for sure.

    • @bigfudge3223
      @bigfudge3223 2 месяца назад +1

      biggest issue is commuting between them, if we had a robust subway system and all CBDs were easily accessible without traffic variance, Metro Manila would be a treat to experience

    • @cocomine8897

      That is impossible because we don't have our own signature products to offer, only filipiniana and barong tagalog that we can offer but it's not going to be sold. Hong Kong were became a central business in Asia because of Great Britain funded it and they are producing tons of products like pearls and jewelries and so on. Here in the Philippines the government would offer isaw, balut, adidas and kwek-kwek😬

    Rockwell has a classy old money vibe, because it’s near one of the oldest upscale subdivisions in Metro Manila, and it’s also pretty isolated compared to other CBDs

    If you go back to Power Plant mall, there's a hidden food court called 'The Grid.' It's on the same level as Uniqlo. I think second floor. I don't live in Philippines, but I make sure to eat there every time I visit. There's good options there, and some of the best Taiwan beef noodles in PI!

    As a real estate agent we consider Rockwell as "alpha premium" place. Definitely a high end prime property. It also boast a spectacular fireworks during new years eve. Beside it is what you call Bel Air Village commanding 350K approximately per sqm after Forbes Park and Dasmariñas Village. A 2 br condo unit rent cost approx 80K a month namely edades.. Enjoy the Philippines, Mabuhay! The Market place is also the owner of Starbucks in the Philippines as well as Rustans.

    It looks so Christmassy all the lights. You have to visit the ASEANA city where 5 stars hotels and casinos are. It's called the entertainment district. So many hotels and condos being build there now to be the Philippine version of Las Vegas.

    Wow I’m glad you checked out Rockwell! I’ve stayed at La Joya Hotel which was right across the street of Power Plant Mall! If it’s still there, they had great accommodations I booked it on Agoda, complimentary breakfast at Figarro, and there was this underground walkway connecting Joya and Power Plant without having to exit the building! The mall has totally become more Higher End like EDSA Shang, Ayala Greenbelt and the Podium!

Is it an example of Pinoy-baiting? Or they just set a very low standards for the Philippines being a poor country so they act as if pleasantly surprised and impressed by BGC or other CBDs in the country?
