      It was a bit interrupted, but it sounded to me like she was about to qualify the statement with "among my friend group". Which doesn't make it right or better; it at least helps make the sentence make sense. I get the feeling her friends were all from a situation similar to hers. It sounds like her childhood was not good at all and I feel bad for her more than anything.

    • @duffman18
      @duffman18 29 дней назад

      Yeah what the fuck. She sounds like her and her friends are victims of paedophiles and sadly they don't even realise it, and maybe even refuse to acknowledge it because facing the truth would be traumatic. I've been British all my life and it's NEVER been OK for 25 year olds to date 14 year olds. Like, yes, it does happen, of course it does, it happens in every country. I knew girls at my school who were 12-15 who were dating mid 20s adult men. But it was pretty rare, like maybe 5 girls out of my entire year (grade) at school, and my year had about 150 kids.
      And even then we all found it extremely dodgy and strange that that happened. Both the boys and girls would try to kindly talk to them about it and try to explain why it was wrong but they refused to take any kind of help like that, they instead thought it was criticism and would get annoyed about it. I don't know if those girls grew up and eventually learned how wrong it was.
      Cos I'm a guy but was raped by another guy when I was 15 and he was 16 and it took me a good 15-20 years to come to terms with it and be able to admit that that's what actually happened. Before I tried to pretend it was consensual because I didn't want to face the trauma. But he literally blackmailed me into it and said I had to do it or he'd tell everyone the blackmail information.
      I developed schizophrenia a few years after it and it was probably the main reason I got it. It's why I became so paranoid and thought somehow everyone would find out my deepest darkest secrets, to the point where I get convinced that people can hear my thoughts. That's just one of the awful symptoms I got with the paranoid schizophrenia. Imagine being out in public and having to try and keep your mind completely blank and clear and not think of things that you wouldn't want other people to hear. It's like telling someone to not think of a pink elephant. Once you say that they can't help but think of a pink elephant.
      I actually became incredibly good at making my mind blank as a result. I essentially had years of daily practice for hours every day at keeping my mind blank like a Buddhist monk meditating. But it's incredibly exhausting to do that for hours at a time.
      That guy who did that to me, he ruined my life, because the schizophrenia ruined my life and that event war the biggest reason I developed it.
      And so I worry for all those girls who were literally raped but it took years for them to realise, just like me. They thought their relationship was consensual, but a 12-15 year old girl literally _CANNOT_ consent to Z relationship with adult, by definition. I hope they did finally come to terms with it but at the same time I'm really sad for them because once you finally accept what happened to you and that you're a victim, it's just awful having to deal with it all at once. The emotions suddenly come rushing in like a flash flood, out of nowhere, bursting the dam it your mental stability.

High-fives would ensue, etc. Due to the culture, it's less publicized, less accepted but it's still extremely common. You probably see it every day and don't realize it. I've seen girls who were 15 or 16 dolled up to look like they were 27, with men who definitely weren't their fathers. It's only when you hear them speak that you realize they're a teenager.

    42:58 I disagree with this conclusion completely. I agree that most adult stars lose popularity as they get older but none of these explanations compare to the fact that belle's onlyfans has been inactive since may 2024 (6 months since the writing of this comment) and prior to that, there was a 9 month hiatus between may 2023 and february 2024. Belle just isn't producing any content. Her twitter is even less active, most of her youtube videos have been deleted, her instagram is still gone, and she's no longer making podcast appearances.
    This inactivity far more than anything is going to decrease her popularity. Of course people are going to move on to copycats with better production value. Consider that belle's "style" is easily replicable and they are actively making content. GFM suggests that she "could" retire with her miliions but I think she already did.

    What I think is most fascinating is that Belle was a reflection of social whims, she kept doing the stuff she did because people kept encouraging it. Society is more responsible for the success of creators than we'd like to think, if we want them to stop, then we shame them. But if we like what they're doing then we nudge them forward.

    My takeaway from all of this is that Belle Delphine is a complex person. Very smart, I would say. Also as you say, surprisingly wholesome. I don't agree with everything that she did, but it honestly seems like she took a pretty bad upbringing and wrangled that into a good life. A partner who loves her, more than enough money, and as you said, she did everything on her terms.
    Honestly, I think the fact that she dropped the mask could work for her; as you pointed out at the end, she knows she can't keep doing this forever, and it seems like her real self is a very smart, interesting person, so she could transition into podcasts, or maybe pure gaming content, or something else where she can let out her real self. I'd probably watch it.

And as much as she loved being a degen online, like so many other teens, she was smart enough to perform really well. At her core she is a performer, and not just any e-girl

Super red flag now that I know who this lady is and her story. I’m kinda glad I stopped chatting with that person cause she said she was 21 but her pictures screamed a teen yikes. If anything this is a message to all parents when you don’t look after your kid and give them love and guidance they become completely crazy. The person I chatted with had the same ideals as her with depression and PTSD it was insane and she ran a snap chat page selling photos and videos of herself it was mad sad. Anyone else find Belle's story really... Sad? She went into the porn industry right when she became "legal", had encounters with older men before then, made her first hardcore before she could even drink or gamble in the US... She definitely has a really fucked up view on sex, doesn't she? Regardless of your opinion on noncon, I feel like the woods controversy was just an extension of the stuff she's went through...that maybe she doesn't talk about. Porn addiction doesn't just happen to loser male gooners, I've seen women with kinks that get progressively more and more violent from the same mentality.
    At least it made her rich, I suppose.

    • @Crows_And_Bones
      @Crows_And_Bones 4 дня назад

      I find it sad that she had no support growing up and no parents who cared about her well being enough to see that she was contracting older men as a means of friendship and was most likely groomed/abused by them for attention and acceptance. However the other half of this comment I heavily disagree with as you are using SWERF/conservative/puritan talking points. While it is true that some SA survivors may experience hypersexuality, this isn't the bad coping mechanism you think it to be. A lot survivors in the BDSM space will tell you they find empowerment through their kinks and community as they are able to control the narrative through power dynamics. I don't really think it's your place to speculate on any trauma she may or may not have experienced and degrade it down to "That's why she has a porn addiction!" Also I hope you know there is no such thing "porn addiction" and that purely stems from Christian conservatism being anti-sex positivity. What Belle had is a messed up view of healthy relationships in the past, because she was taken advantage of mentally as a minor and ultimately is a victim of misogyny and bigotry of sex-workers. I think since she has grown she has come to understand herself more and why she did what she did, hopefully she heals. That's all anyone can really hope for.

    Moral of the story: Parents, stay in the life of your children and tell them you love them and are proud of them on a regular basis. I feel like the largest part of her desire for male approval comes from the fact her father (and mother, but mostly father) never gave her any.

    Queen turned her trauma into bag and I'm here for it.
    I lived a similar life and was taken advantage by men on the internet. Belle delphine was an inspiration for me when I was learning to be comfortable in my sexuality.
    One thing I learned is that people dont really for sorry for you as the woman in the situation. You have a sort of gaze of distain. I honestly dont see why people make a big deal out of women doing onlyfans, if they're consenting adults and adult content has always been a thing even before onlyfans. That and sexuality is natural.
    I'm in my mid 20s and im doing a lot better mentally. I dont listen to what men think about my actions or my choices, I can think and affirm myself a lot better. I mainly do my own research instead of listening to people online. My biggest thing I took from my experiences is that sexuality is normal and nothing to ashamed of as long as you dont hurt others, and to dont allow the opinions of others to sway you emotionally because when they see you're sensitive they'll just fuck with you more.

    • @billjacobs521
      @billjacobs521 24 дня назад

      I largely agree. But I do see the problem with doing adult content in some cases, depending on how you do it. Making stuff yourself, on OF, is basically the best way to do it. Some women get in the industry, do it relentlessly for a few years, and cause themselves physical and emotional harm that will last far longer. Some people (and that's men AND women) are overly broad in their condemnation, but there is something to be said for not promoting being a total ho-bag, especially to kids--there's a proper balance.
