Hi Dave .This trip reminds me of my first day of motor freedom .it wad like captain kirks last line from the first star trek film .. Sulu what heading Captain . Kirk ..thataway Sulu .out there . Happy days just having a bimble about ..just good for the soul ..💯🤓
Well Dave you've certainly shown us some lovely villages there. For me the Hunter suits the quieter and perhaps more interesting roads and places that they almost seem to seek out by themselves. Your talking of cars from TV programmes was rather after my time - for me it's the Citroëns used in the original Maigret with Rupert Davies. We're talking black and white days here. But I now have the original complete series on Dvd so can really enjoy watching them all over again. Great to ride out with you through your part of the country 👍
Thanks Peter, you’re right it’s almost like Hunters have a built direction seeker that favours back roads and scenic hamlets and villages 😀 Yeah cars are definitely a generational thing aren’t they in the same ways motorcycles tend to be, I doubt the current younger generation will be able to look back at todays vehicles with mechanical and aesthetic wonderment? 🤔 thanks for commenting 👍🏻😀
Excellent 😊 iconic cars 🤔 Chitty Chitty bang bang 😁😂😂😂 the saint🤔 did he have a Volvo 🤔 James Bond Aston Martin 😁 mr bean Mini 😁 basil fawltey Austin/morris 1100 🤔 just so many to choose from 😁 thanks for the mention 😊
Hiya TAYM that’s a great list! 😀 now you come to mention it I’m sure you’re right about it being a Volvo that Roger Moore as the saint drove and I’m pretty sure Ian Ogilvy’s Saint drove a Jaguar XJS 🤔 and who can forget Basil Fawlty Givi giving the Austin 1100 “a damn good thrashing!” 😂😂 have a great weekend mate! 👍🏻😀
Nice ride out Dave. I also struggle to explain why I enjoy my Hunter so much, it just seems to suit how I want to ride now. The only other bike I've owned that I felt the same about was my RD350LC. That bike suited me then as I rode round as if my hair was on fire, different times!! On the IT problem, would solid state storage be more reliable or maybe paying a few quid for cloud storage? Bike going for a service tomorrow and it's forecast dry, surely that counts as some sort of miracle considering the weather lately 😅
Thanks Paul, the unexplainable magic of the Hunter aye, the damn things are like dogs manipulating our affections 😀 thanks for the suggestion re file storage I’m exploring options and those you’ve suggested certainly are on the table! Thanks for watching and leaving a comment 👍🏻 Hope the service goes well 👍🏻😀
@@MerciaMoto Nice of you to reply whilst on holiday. Service all good and test rode a Shotgun in the sunshine. Super smooth engine, gearbox and easy handling but way too heavy for me. Foot pegs a little too far forward. Enjoy Iceland 👍
Hi Dave, took my Hunter out he weekend had to ride through torrents of water running off the fields into the road - still fun though :-) - Bikes sounding nice, are you still running the Enfield Precision silencer? Baffle in or out? Still waiting for Hitchcocks to get the rev counter back in stock for weeks.
hiya Paul, they really are great fun aren’t they? I running mine baffles out. I received an email from Hitchcocks last Friday saying the tachos are back in stock, you might be able to grab one if you’re quick 🤞🏻 accessories.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/53244

Thanks Kev, great to hear you enjoyed it 👍🏻😀
