About not feeling you are doing enough work-wise because your family have nurses and firefighters, I think you do so much more than you realise. You give an escape for people that need it, even if it's just for 30mins. For me, your videos are that one thing I need to be able to step back from everything I feel anxious or stressed about, and I'm sure it's for many others too. Some people make sure people can live, and other people create and make the world worth living in. Even if it seems like the smallest thing.

Hi Cari! I usually do not comment but I am watching your videos for many years and I feel a need to say, that I totally agree with people here writing that the content you produce and the energy it brings to people here watching them is totally contributing to the wellbeing and good mood of people, so to the world! Also, I want to add, that the world is the best place to live when people do what they are passionate about and can fully express themselves and be who they are, then the vibes of everyone are high. Since everybody is unique, if you are doing what you feel called to, you are doing exactly what you are supposed to do. Of course if you feel like you are being called to explore new areas, you should try it out as well!

You really need to get a kindle!! They are pretty inexpensive and so much better than reading off an iPad since it feels like reading off a book rather than a screen. They’re also much less lightweight and easier to carry around cuz of the size. From one avid reader to another, it’s totally worth it!!

Talking about the playlist, the all time number one song on my playlist is Ceremony by New Order/Joy Division. Temptation by New Order is a close second. New Dawn Fades by Joy Division is probably one of the darkest songs ever written, but I am addicted to the outburst of longing by Ian Curtis. I adore the guitar intro in Charming Man by the Smith that Cari often uses in her video. These songs are 30-40 years old, but I thank them for making my life a bit more worth living.

You're such an interesting personality. It's like you're 2 or 3 different people. My first exposure to you was the Scotland video, and in a way, this video reminded me of that personality; energetic, bouncy, fun. Sometimes you seem subdued, like you're not sure of yourself and are just wandering around. Other times you seem anxious, like you're struggling with something and having a hard time coming up with the solution for it.
Your music list surprised me. You have such a soft, melodic, gentle sounding voice, and yet you listen to a lot of things that are a mix of hardened angst, solo insecurity, and almost screaming rage. It seems you have to constantly juggle the needs of each of those sides of you. Yet through all of them, you have an unerring instinct for great food and drink lol. I think that's your centering mechanism between all of them.
Maybe you do this already, but you seem like the kind of person that would love calligraphy. There's a wonderful chemistry of being able to interact with paper and pen or brush, and draw letters. It slows you down, and makes you view writing itself as part of the artistry of communication, in addition to what you're actually saying. It's even better when you're done, and you fold the paper, put it in an envelope and seal it with a wax seal and the seal stamp of your choice. Sometimes those kinds of things make a great gift to someone, as it's a very personal part of you that they can cherish and keep.
Love your videos as always, and yes, you will see these todays differently as you get older; for not only you change, but the world you grew up in changes too. As the song goes... you know it's not the same as it was.

The city that you visited in the beginning was a whole vibe. That book sounds heartbreaking. Have you ever tried making your own vegetable broth? It’s quite easy. Sauté your vegetable or vegetable scraps with garlic, parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. If you use scraps you’ll need to strain it after the water comes to a boil. You can freeze or refrigerate it.
