Props to the dude that lost $1.4 MILLION USD to a Philipina scammer. HOLY CRAP!! How does he have such a positive attitude after that?? Would really like to dig into this guy's life story and resiliency after hearing that!!
I guess he has had time to get past it and realizing there is Zero that can be done about it. Most are calling him a fool, but its good to see that there are trusting honest people out there. Its just sad they get taken advantage of.

Filipina Pea, I REALLY ENJOYED THIS VIDEO, I AM AN AMERICAN THAT WANTS TO LIVE IN PHILLIPINES, BECAUSE I HEAR AND SEE THE FILIPINO PEOPLE IS VERY FRIENDLY AND LOVING AND THAT'S WHAT I NEED IN MY LIFE.
In my travels I've spent about five months in the Philippines, and I was pleased to find out that your interviewees have come pretty much to the same conclusions that i have. I look forward to going back when the borders reopen. ($1.4 million loss! And that guy is still optimistic and positive--that's kind of a miracle. He is one unique individual.)
I engaged in a chat on Old Dog Paul's channel talking about this video. I thought I would post what I said about your video here too: "That guy, the one who lost over $1M, impacted me, changed my perception. I grew up in a tough neighborhood and learned early to avoid con artists. So I've always considered people who got conned to be dupes responsible for their own stupidity. Pea's guy was a decent man. He accepted and shrugged off his loss, took responsibility. I realized, not everybody got the street-wise education I did. When men are victimized, I tend to hold them responsible when actually the woman who conned this guy is a criminal. She's the villain, not him."
I love the Philippines (pre-covid), but after 2-3 months, I head back to Queensland Australia for a break, and some peace and quiet, Two-stroke motors, roosters, dogs, and traffic takes it toll. Afterwards, I'm refreshed and want to go back. The Filipino people are the #1 reason I will return after covid. Wonderful people.
The interviews are great, the humor at the end to tie it all in was clever, and you always have a great uniform at the end to wrap it all up, I see you take this very seriously and you do a great job, your fast rising increase in subs, and fame in the RUclips world reflect this great effort on your part.
By the way, I read a funny comment on youtube last year somewhere you'll prob like. This guy said his girlfriend's name is Michelle, this was a girl Vietnam. The other guy said to him, "No that's her bar name, not her real name", ha ha.
In the Philippines foreign citizens can’t own any property. The house you buy is your wife’s or partners house. There are many beautiful Filipino more mature women which are stable and loyal. Younger women are more likely to get fed up and leave sometimes after your money been spent 🙁💁♂️
Holy cow 61 million, that is amazing and his attitude is pretty good. You make it really enjoyed the diversity in your interviews, and seeing what they all have in common. Keep up the good work thanks.🙏🙏
Thanks to all the gentlemen for telling their stories and giving their honest opinions, both good and bad, to hopefully save some of us from making the same mistakes. And thank you Pea for being drop dead gorgeous!
I find it refreshing that you are straight forward and honest and genuinely want to help people in making the right choices. You have a good sense of humor also! Hopefully you will still be real when you achieve youtube fame. Cheers stay safe.
After I spent 4 years walking the Clark AFB, I knew what was in the Philippines. After retiring, I came back as soon as I could. I retired from a US base in March. And arrived back in the Philippines in April. And I've never left this beautiful country, from that time.
@@TheFilipinaPea I even wanted to be come a citizen of this beautiful country, until I found out, I wouldn't be permitted to have duel citizen ship and would have to give up my American citizen ship. That would mean, I'd lose my military retired pay.(equal to P200,000 PESOS per month!) I'm working on how to replace it, but it is difficult to just let that be taken away from me. And Yes! I do love this country, with all my heart and soul!!!!! I may give my military retired pay up in the future anyway.
Very enchanting Pea , a marvelous interviewer that u r , & ur creativity is par excellence as we say in the West. I have been watching you from almost the beginning of your blogs. You do come across as mostly American in experience but with a solid Filipina background. This is a compliment!
Well done, very informative! I can't wait to visit and check things out. The one thing I know for sure, I don't want to live near a big city (I don't do that here either - I live on a ranch in a national forest), live near by would be ok because would like to visit shops and theaters etc but I don't like people living close (500ft) to me. So a nice little ranch somewhere with a little bit of land would be perfect. ALWAYS love the humor at the end of your videos! Have a great day. HUGS
Pea, i have a very accurate idea of what to expect when i get to your country. Your videos and sage advice are paramount to any westerner as far as what to expect in nearly every situation im liable to encounter. Your love for your people and your country are evident as well as love for all human beings. Bless you my friend!
It is rare to see content creators include video that isn't either obviously supportive or confrontational to gain views. Your videos are honest and entertaining. Thank you Pea
I really enjoy the 'man on the street' format. Am sure they enjoy talking to you, too! You must've thought you hit the jackpot with that one guy who lost all the money. Sad story but glad the guy is ok. Am sure it will haunt him for the rest of his life, though.
I am sorry to say this, but swindled out of 1.4million USD??? WOW!!! That is incredible. I have no words. Be VERY careful...I cannot IMAGINE getting swindled for that much money over 5 years. Hell, I could not imagine giving ANY woman that much money. Crazy.
Either she was a world class con artist or he was a world class fool at the time. But, I think he's got more money and decided it wasn't worth his health and happiness to wallow in pity and anger. Good for him 👏
He did not give that woman anything. You make it sound like he had the hots for a filipina and when she asked for 1.4 million he gave it to her. He got scammed. She played the long con on him. I bet she had multiple family member, maybe even government officials, legit forms and many other things to make everything seem legit. I get it, he should have at least visited and finalized things in person.
It's already Crazy & it will get worse! Politics, Police, Media, Racism is destroying this Country! We are so Divided we don't want to even do The Anthem together anymore, and...the only time we come together is Super Bowl, The NBA Finals ( Maybe ), and College Basketball! I want to live a Happy Peaceful life, that's why I keep watching these Vlogs!

Hi Pea, My brother is married to a Filipina and they live in Hong Kong now and he will retire in the Philippines and your video gave me more insight to living there myself, thanks.
Good morning Pea. I love to watch your videos while I'm having my morning coffee. You keep me company very well. I just broke up with my online "girlfriend" of 8 months. I found out that she had other foreigner boyfriends as well as a Filipino boyfriend. My lesson learned is to just wait until I get there to seek companionship. Online is just too risky. Thank you for your effort to inform foreigners about the good, the bad and the ugly of the Philippines. One thing I don't think you have covered in your videos is what kind of shots and vaccines should foreigners get before coming to the Philippines in order to avoid some of the common illnesses in your country. That might make a good video also. Hugs and kisses from the USA. See you soon.
Dumaguete.. ohh how i remember that place when i was traveling thrue phillepines. my biggest regret was that i dident stay there longer. hopefully i can return some day.
WisCANson. Yep. He is from there. 🤣 Love the guy at time code 13:17. No filters whatsoever! And apparently the "beautiful young women" factor is his best selling point. Shame on you though, Miss Pea, for touching him on the arm like that. If his wife sees that, he'll have some explaining to do! 😂 Never understood why people don't like Filipino food. I love lumpia, and I remember a yakisoba dish that my girlfriend there made that was awesome! And who doesn't like spit roasted pig! Another great interview video, Miss Pea. Very informative.
I’m SO glad to hear that, Capt! Some people like the interview style, some like the studio videos, some people like the charity ones, so I just keep changing the rotation 😂

Excellent interviews. I've been debating between moving toThailand, Mexico or the Philippines. This video definitely influenced my thinking in favor of the Philippines. I especially liked the fact that the Philippines has a lot of English speakers and is expat friendly. I cannot wait to get out of the USA before the county goes completely bonkers. Thanks Pea, Good Show!
I visited Mexico often when I lived in USA and often thought about moving to Puerto Vallarta. Then I lived in China for 12 years and visited all around Asia - Philippines is by far best choice for me for the reasons these guys gave and more. Plan is next year to retire from full time work and take up residence there.

I do not know this lady personally. However, her honest, realistic, no-punches-pulled approach deserves respect. I've (as many MGTOWs) decided to give it one more go and look at where the most traditional and age deifying women still exist (SEAs) you are a hilarious breath of fresh air. Keep doing you Pea

I wish u could talk to at least one brotha. I’m black n wish to hear how they like is there too. But your Chanel is much joy to me. I always look forward to watch your new postings. Keep up the good job. 😘😘
I’m black and been to the Philippines and you don’t see that many black men there because the military base is gone. Also, like me a lot of the fillapina women in America date and marry black men, or either other Filipinos. You will never see a fillapina in America with an old dude unless she was brought her back. Once she becomes Americanized she leaves for a younger man. Also, a lot of black men still do not travel internationally, for one it’s expensive to travel and the other reason is they don’t look to go elsewhere.
I will be moving in a few years, have a couple of condos Cebu and some land in CDO and Siquijor, looking to keep our Pesos in the PI and Dollars in the USA, might have to sell a house or 2 here in America but should be good. also access to the VA hospital is a plus. Can you say Sabong? Grew up fighting in Hawaii, plan on fighting in CDO.
Great presentation PEA, I will miss being able to visit you and Jen,so long as I will not get the mandatory vaccine to fly... Love and keep up the awesome content.
My wife is from Cebu City, and I fell in love with both she and the Philippines instantly. I've been to several islands but Cebu is my favorite place. My wife and I are buying a vacation house there and will be retiring there in about 20 years, it's such a fun, beautiful place! Great video Pea!
By capturing a cross-section of regular guys (as opposed to bitter expats or just plain weirdos), this video answers more questions about moving to the Philippines than just about any other article or video I've read or seen. I'm convinced.
I'm Filipino born in the Philippines but grew up in the US. I never had the desire to be with a Filipina. Not that there's anything wrong with a Filipina. I just think of them as my sister therefore I can't get myself to sleep with any of them. It's weird but that's how I feel.
Interesting mix of interviews there, I'm curious how many of them asked for your number 🤣🤣. Another reminder never to send money to someone you haven't met. Slower pace of life and friendly people sounds ideal as a retirement desitination 😁
I am not sure I think this year would be an exception for sending her a small amount every month small but sufficient amount so you don’t have to worry about her.
Hi I'm from Sacramento, CA and moved to Wisconsin! Hi from -5%F (-17%C) So If you see this Frank I'm glad you are loving the P.I. Thanks for sharing your story!
One subject I would like to see covered for those of us thinking about retiring to the Philippines....What can we expect in the way of health care in the Philippines? As one who is a reader and constantly wanting to learn, what are the educational opportunities there? Are the cultural and performing arts events there? Thanks, Terry W.
If you adapt to the locals and don't expect them to adapt to your ways and expectations you won't go far wrong, just remember it's their country and culture,if you don't like that don't go.
Highly recommend a visit to the Philippines , been there several times . Visited most major cities there and have lived in remote countryside. Great country and beautiful warm people .
Hello Filipina Pea. I really enjoyed this video. My wife had passed away after 50 yrs of marriage on New Years Day. Now at age 70, it's been pretty sad for me. Watching your videos keeps my mind busy. When I am at work early mornings at my office I enjoyed watching over the months all of your videos. Your so knowledgeable about most things and the USA. Keep up the good work. I hope next year this pandemic is better and I get the vaccine. I would love to come for a vacation there and experience for myself all the beauty of your country. Thank you.
50 years? Oh my, I’m so sorry for your loss! But yes, you should definitely try a visit here - it’s a much slower pace and sometimes frustrating, but it might be a good fit for you ❤️
70 but yet look like 60 and feel 50. Still keep a young mindset. I think that is important for our self-preservation. Thank you again for your advice, maybe someday I will take it. :)
Hey Pea, my crush, I had another thought (I know, I'm just full of them lately) Since your channel centers around bridging communication between our respective cultures, this should be right up your alley. While talking to Filipino ladies with limited English skills, I oftentimes find my words misinterpreted. Perhaps a video highlighting how similes between English and the spoken languages of your country have alternate meaning. This would require research on your part, but I know of no one else who have the requisite skills to make this happen. Maybe you could title it: "You Said What". Haha, always your friend. Tom
Lots of pros an cons. It also depends where you want to live. I live in Davao an do not like it. But its where my wife is from, i am very restricted there due to dangers to foreigners in certin Areas outside the city. Id rather go back through tando than parts around davao. Cebu is nice. No to manila. My wife and Fruit is probably my favourite part about the Philippines along with most of the weather. Im ok to stay a few months a yr but still perfer my stateside farm.
I have traveled all outside of Davao very safe. Get you a motorbike and explore. My main issue with Davao now of days is all the stupid traffic and all the beggars in the city. Davao has to have the most beggars per population compared to Cebu or Manila. They are everywhere, outside the malls, outside every fast food place, on all the walkover bridges especially along JP laurel avenue where all the malls are.
I don't know why I watch your videos so much. I've been married to a great Thai lady for 13 years, and have no desire to move to the P.I., but the subjects that you bring up are pretty much universal in SE Asia. Your charm and your intelligence just show through every one of your videos. This particular one was a great idea. I don't know how long you can continue at this pace, but you're one incredible young woman, and I wish you all the best.
Thanks so much, Mike! I’m very flattered that you like to watch my videos, even if you have no direct interest in my country. (and I’ll keep up this pace till I drop - which could be at any time) 😂
The Philippines is so crazy. But good crazy! I have been there a few times briefly and once for an extended stay. In my late 50s I was there on business for I guess about 11 months. Just repping my company for some building products and getting an office set up there. I lived in the Ayala area of Cebu City. I met a very pretty and absolutely tiny filipina almost immediately after I got there. Just 4'6 and 30kg. Gorgeous stick-thin smiley girl just out of high school ... but as turned out, not yet 18. So we did everything with her mom in the weeks until her 18th birthday and we were never ever alone together, so as to easily stay within the law. And in the process I became good friends with her mom (poor lady -- she was younger than me but plump and looked very old -- but good English and a great sense of humor). After a couple months, they both moved in with me -- I had rented a 2-bedroom place in a highrise a few blocks from Ayala Mall. It was a cozy, fun, happy arrangement. I would generally pay for things but it wasn't like they were shamelessly hitting me up for money or anything and certainly no relatives ever stopped by to beg for "loans". I had to go to work during the day but the mom and her lovely daughter would mostly stay home and cook and fold clothes and stuff. That condo must have been the cleanest place for 500 miles -- they kept it absolutely immaculate! The daughter was very relaxed about wearing sexy outfits and showing heavy PDA around her mom and I guess the mom thought that was so cute. We slept in one bedroom and the mom in the other ... the way the place was laid out, that worked out fine. Sometimes on weekends we would all three go on a quick adventure to Panglao or Siargao or Siquijor. After I moved back to the USA we kind of lost touch but it was I just remember the feeling of happiness and simplicity about the whole thing. Such an arrangement could never really work here and would draw tremendous, ultra-harsh criticism. But it worked out just fine over there and I don't remember an unkind word ever being spoken. Probably one of the happiest times of my life even though so busy with work. Btw, one thing that's very important: don't make expats or tourists look bad if you go there! Be super nice to people and don't act like a bigshot just because you're a white American. I saw lots of American and Aussie jerks there and it really made me cringe.
Hi Pea. I like the interviews. Not sure about some of the fellas this time. Maybe interview some Filipinas on their idea of what makes a good man... other than money 😂😂😂 peace ✌️
Majority of Filipina believe on idea of age is just a number. But me, no! Age is more than just a number and tells experience. My point, what makes a good man is his intelligence and ethical behavior. ☺️
There is probably more to it. Nobody gives away their whole pension to a stranger on the street; He got groomed for about five years. If you are lonely, depressed, in distance love, and have never experienced being preyed upon before, you become very vulnerable. It looks like he understands what he did wasn't the brightest decision in his life, and handles that for what it is and doesn't waste his last days in regret; that would be foolish.
It's sad, the cognitive dissonance. I believe so many men even wife up just because they are thirsty and it's only way they can rationalize they have found love when it's just financial security for the lady. Peace.
Okay, you convinced me to come to the Philippines to retire and find the girl of my dreams. But when can I come? Damned COVID! Thanks again, Miss Pea for another informative invitation to your lovely country (have visited 3 times... just waiting to make a final journey there).

It is a misnomer that there are no rules in the Philippines. Actually, the Philippines does have traffic laws resembling the West, and more overall regulation of everything in general. The real difference is enforcement and compliance. Philippine laws are so rarely or loosely enforced that people do not follow them. There is one unwritten Filipino traffic law that trumps all others. The bigger your vehicle, the more right of way you have on the road.
I think some of the viewers are being overly harsh to that very nice man Arthur. That was very nice of him to open up to Pea and talk about his experience of being scammed by a bad Filipina, especially when it wasn't complimentary to himself.I myself would not have even included him in this video. He is deserving of a whole thirty- minute interview onto himself. You just don't get men who have been scammed as badly as Arthur has who are willing to talk about it publicly.Thank you Arthur and I do hope you do find your dream girl Filipina. She will be a lucky girl.Thank you Pea-John Richard Wray
I’m still shocked by the 1.4 million dollars . But he seemed like he got past it remarkably well . I wish I could say I would have handled it so well . I would still be chasing her down lmao . Right, and that's the problem, we can't own land there, but there is an exception. At any rate, he should of just bought a condo probably.

After I spent 4 years walking the Clark AFB, I knew what was in the Philippines. After retiring, I came back as soon as I could. I retired from a US base in March. And arrived back in the Philippines in April. And I've never left this beautiful country, from that time.

@@TheFilipinaPea Pea, when you can travel, plz go to cebu and show us why you like it better.

I’m sorry to say it but the guy is a fool to give somebody that kind of money when you don’t even know them
I keep warning people, but ....... they do it anyway!
We call be had... but to that extent, for that amount, to someone never met? Ouch. At least I salute him for telling it.
It's sad, the cognitive dissonance. I believe so many men even wife up just because they are thirsty and it's only way they can rationalize they have found love when it's just financial security for the lady. Peace.
@@TheFilipinaPea Why do you think they do it Pea? If he had $1.4 million US dollars to spare, he couldn't have been a stupid man.
