  • We went to the dyno to get the tune dialed in, because of the class rules I'm only allowed to make about 95 horsepower so we wanted to make sure we were making exactly that much. I've never actually done dyno tuning before so this was a learning experience for me but I'm very happy with the results!

I think a properly tuned 1994 miata could be really fast in SCCA time trials Tuner 5. (Cars older than a 1996 can have an aftermarket ECU in Tuner)

Oh nice I have some buddies who run T4 and T5 I think, I should check out the rules and see what I would have to do. I know they canceled the event at Gingerman though which is sad 😔

That sounds good! I must say it’s a bit different going on a dyno hoping to make less horse power!!😂
That seems tricky to get as much horsepower as you can while keeping it under the 95 hp threshold.
Do you have to show dyno slips when you race or will they ask for proof of horse power after a win? How does that work?
    Love the videos!!

Thanks! We are required to submit the sheets, but also they have a dyno at the track to check people if needed

    Damn son 125?!?! Nice!
Sucks that you have limit the car though. But that’s competition ig.

Thanks! Yeah was happy with 125, it’s an old tired motor and I didn’t put much effort in that tune 😅
