@@ElYuyuBoxing Hey is it necessary to use a gauze pad that thick for your knuckles? I feel like the boxing glove has enough padding for the knuckles. Let me know what you think.

Totally worth wrapping your hands like this if you’re gonna be in the gym all day. I have found one issue though. It’s really hard to find gloves that allow you to have as much knuckle protection as you need. A lot are too snug. And if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a pair of gloves sometimes it’s hard to find a pair that will feel the way you’d want it to. I’ve used a lot of brands from all ends of the spectrum over the years and if you don’t have the money for some $300-$600 winning gloves your next best option is Muay Thai gloves. Yokkao or fairtex. They’re in the $100-$200 range. After that it’s hard to get a good all around gloves. At least it has been for me it’s all about preference. I’d love to hear others insight on this.
Never wrapped my hand like this. All my gloves have heavy padding(rdx and rivals). Fairtex do have a lot of space in them. Have you tried cleto reyes? They are little cheaper then winnings
I'm fighting in an amateur event in Feb, for some reason tape is banned from the event. I usually buy the AIBA Approved Fight kits from Empire Pro Tape and do the gauze+tape wraps for fights, but I think if tape is banned falling back on the gauze padding + le roy handwraps is the next best thing in terms of support without overcrowding the palm saving this again for closer to fight week.
My coach wrapped my hands the other day that was excellent and I can’t remember how. I had pro impact 180s and a winning knuckle guard. What was interesting is he would have me close my hand and open it during the wrap, where I usually have always kept my hand open during the wrap procedure. It felt like I could punch through bricks. Anyone have any links to a method that sounds like this - I think my hand was open as the wrap would go through the fingers and then he would tell me to close when he bring the wrap back around. It must be similar to pro wrapping but with your everyday hand wraps for training and convenience. Anything like this would be helpful as I train boxing for cardio and fun but appreciate a good wrap for healthy hands and all that good stuff Thanks
That's a great question that I had as well. I coach amateurs and was looking to practice wrapping their hands like this, but I found that reusing them after impact reduced the padding and protection, which would lead them to hurt their hands or each other.
Every time I practice hitting a bag, I always use gloves, but before that my hands use knuckle pads which I made from gauze and then wrap them again using gauze (to strengthen the position of the pad) then finally before using gloves I use a regular hand wrap. is this ok?
Brute Force I haven’t tried fighting tape. Title classic tape isn’t the same quality as it was before. My favorite tape has been Empire pro tape and War tape but they’re a bit pricy
Do you take off the tape and reuse the gauze? I’ve seen boxers cutting of the pro wrap and reuse the whole wrap and just tape over it. What method do recommend for reusing the pro wraps for training
Yup these wraps are pretty durable! I’d say they last a couple months not bad for their price but when you tape over them it does break them down a bit
@@raiwatsagdeo1752 do you wrap hands diff for 16oz 14oz 12oz 10oz 8oz gloves? No. MMA gloves arent really anything different. I would assume at worst the knuckle guard is too big and dont use one or use a smaller one. MMA gloves are basically just huge knuckle guards anyway
@@timm5970 nah mate they don't have enough space for such a big wrap also we have to make sure that the hands must be wrapped in such a way the doesn't compromise your grappling
I've tried using Leroy wraps for gauze but I didn't like them. The material does form a knuckle pad well or as good as actually fighting gauze. If that's all you have go ahead!
Nickolas Cooper I use them both! The Velcro wraps are fine also. I switched over to these once I hurt my knuckle but now it’s fine so I’ll switch wraps for convenience

rather than leaving your hands unprotected and losing them for the rest of your life, unless your not hitting hard, just saying.

Can these be reusable wraps?
Have u ever tried a winning NG-2 knuckle guard before as padding for the knuckles?
Can you reuse this wrap if you cut it and then re tape where you cut ?

I'm here because loser had a complaint about Naoya Inoue hand wraps
After you use that you will throw that is the trash or you will reuse it?
What if I want to do it without the cotton ball padding? Is it the same process?
This is very handy.

Have you ever tried fighting tape before? Is it better than the title classic
Brute Force I haven’t tried fighting tape. Title classic tape isn’t the same quality as it was before. My favorite tape has been Empire pro tape and War tape but they’re a bit pricy
And how you gonna take it of? If you take it of can you were it again???
Yes, you can wear these again just peel off the tape.
El Yuyu do u do it often?
Ilham Abyan yes, this is the way I wrap my hands every time
Could i just cut it at the wrist and tape at the wrist to use again?
Can you use a knuckle guard like the winners for the bandage instead of the gauze?
Do you take off the tape and reuse the gauze?
I’ve seen boxers cutting of the pro wrap and reuse the whole wrap and just tape over it. What method do recommend for reusing the pro wraps for training
He peels off the tape and reuses it that way.
What boxing shoes do u have on?
Can the leroi Mexico handwraps be used for competition?
Dose this work for usa boxing also what tape is that
How long does these wraps last?
Is it durable?
Yup these wraps are pretty durable!
I’d say they last a couple months not bad for their price but when you tape over them it does break them down a bit
@@ElYuyuBoxing okay... Thank you
Can you reuse them
What tape is used?
Where’d you get the padding from?
its called guaze. basically when he is drappin it around his fingers to the knuckles thats how her created the padding
An mma style tutorial with Leroy hand wraps would be awesome... Please do it if you can
Would it not be exactly the same?

Is it a good idea to use Leroy guaze for a knuckle pad
I've tried using Leroy wraps for gauze but I didn't like them. The material does form a knuckle pad well or as good as actually fighting gauze. If that's all you have go ahead!
Nice. Why do you do this instead of using hand wraps? I've been using regular wraps but want to try this.
Nickolas Cooper I use them both! The Velcro wraps are fine also. I switched over to these once I hurt my knuckle but now it’s fine so I’ll switch wraps for convenience
What else can be use as the padding
Dylan White I’ve seen fighters use sponge and also gel padding. For me personally, I’ve felt the hand wrap is the best fit
I thought you’re not supposed to go over the knuckles with tape
That’s in a fight this is just for training
Ma jep1mu
Y not just use gauze for the wrap it’s self
gauza hand wrap less durable than normal hand wraps
but much better
That's way too much wrapped 3 that s why they brake their hands too easy ,
