I guess it depends what you want out of it. Canyon is probably gonna be about 18-19mpg in mixed real world driving conditions. While the 5.3 1500 is probably going to get 15-16 mpg. That means the canyon is going to get close to 60 more miles per tank of gas than the 1500 would.
@@cody4089 Would also need to consider the size of the fuel tanks - I believe Sierras 4wd models are 24 gallons to the canyons 21 gallons, which would even out the miles per tank
Interesting. Was the truck hand washed or no wash? Dirty exterior makes a difference and especially if it's machine washed vs. hand wash (detailed washed). *If the truck was hand washed right before the driving range/fuel experiment then most likely more $$$ was saved in fuel costs. If not then the dirty exterior would cause air drag hence more in fuel costs. What was the psi of all four tires before, during and after the drive? Tire pressure makes a big difference. Which way were the exterior mirrors facing? Sightly up or down and/or more out? Kidding.
Will you be doing a Ford Escape? I’ve looked through your playlist... I’ve watched Jeep Cherokee & grand Cherokee, Honda CR-V, Jeep Wrangler, thanks for doing this it’s very informative greatly appreciated
Is the canyon V6 better on gas than a 2014-2018 sierra w 5.3?…. Or are they. Close enough to warrant getting the full size v8?
