Hey Austin, really loved this guide! Not to sound contradictory or unappreciative, by any means! Buuuut, while I did use this spot for quite some time, and it is available pretty early on in the game, I thought you should know there is another spot not too far after this with better returns. If you go past where the group of Psyducks were on Route 210, use defog and continue north towards Mt. Coronet, there is a pair of Ace Trainers (Jen and Zak) running in a loop, and a convenient area for bike circling. What's nice about them is if you trigger either one with the Vs Seeker, you trigger a double battle with both of them. They have a Gyarados and Raichu, each level 27, and the reward is 26,784, but you should know that they don't seem to change in the post game, unless I'm missing something. It's nice though, because if you have a move that can hit both Pokemon it makes it SO much faster. No Meowth with Payday or Pachirisu with Pickup here, but I've that found with my Amulet Coin I can average a rate of about 1.5 million/hour. Again, I bring this up not to say you're doing anything wrong, I just want to help the community where I can. Keep up the great work, and thank you so much!
Ahhh ya beat me to it! I just ran into them myself lol. I'm using my Infernape and Luxray against them. With the amulet coin. Instant 1 hit k.o. on both for me. Good catch 👍🏾
The other might not be far away from this point but I think the meaning was that it was the first spot with a good amount of money at it. Plus the +1ev for attack and special attack you can get from them as a bonus. The other you gotta be a bit higher lvl to do plus another badge to get too if I'm correct with having to use defog on the area. I can still see where your coming from though because the area you are mentioning is also better after defeating the league.
@@johnhoff2881 I think you nailed it. The comment is great if you have access to that area/are willing to run blind in the fog but the video is definitely aimed at early game returns as well as a source of Atk and Sp. Atk EVs
I am new to Pokémon, and I’ve heard a lot of people talk about EV’s. Do you know what they are? Also thanks for the tip, I just beat Cynthia because I bought gear with the money!
@@Devtheking EV’s are Effort Values. It’s mostly only used and cared for by competitive players but basically they increase a certain stat. You can get them from battling a wild pokémon or with trainer battles. Different pokémons give different evs and some evolution line give different evs from one another. Hope that helps.
There’s another couple to battle, route 210 in the middle of the route, going up the stairs to Celestic town. You get £26,784 per battle. It’s a double battle with Jen and zac.
Payday gives you money based on level. A level 100 Persian should net an additional 500 that would be doubled with the amulet coin to 1000 per battle. With that, you would get an additional 4000-5000/hour in optimal settings with your modest estimate
One small correction - you can definitely reach the area with this couple before the veilstone gym. I went to Pastoria before Veilstone to go see the move relearner and it let me go the south way out of Hearthome. Did visit Solaceon first and then backtracked so I'm not sure if that's required but Veilstone isn't
I assume it is an egg move from Electabuzz line where u need a male Electabuzz that knows Thunder Punch together with a female infernape (or monferno/chimchar).
In Route 210 there are double team named Jen and Zec. They are always in double team. They give you 26,784 with amulet coin. A lot better than the 2 oldies that gives you 16,000
@@NecrovoidTV then you're not looking hard enough. They are the only green haired ones there. If you leave Celestic Town to the right they are literally just off the second bridge running in circle. Like 100% chance of you seeing them everytime
It was the best method back then too but they didn't keep the Vs. Seeker in future games. It was a lot easier to make money in those earlier games imo. Sword and Shield made it even easier though.
I noticed that the trainers you fight are level 40. In my game they are level 60. Instead of 16k per trainer they now give 24k each with the amulet coin. Apparently you have to beat Heathran and fight all that trainers on that route including the police officers. After that you will unlock these trainers as a level 60 instead of 40. It saves you even more time.
Yooo thank you for all the brilliant diamond/shinning Pearl content it has helped a lot just like all the sword and shield content did love all the vids man
Later on in the game once you get to Route 210 in the area with the heavy fog there is an Ace Trainer duo you can battle and get 26K per time, before post-game. They have a Gyarados and Raichu which also reward very generous amounts of XP so I'd say they're worth going after too.
After the 4th gym there is a pair of ace trainers on route 210, zac and jen with level 27 gyarados and raichu, if you do a double battle with them they give 26.7k. After trying it 5x in a row i think they will probably always be a double battle since they are side by side in the game as well
An effective method I've found, possibly even moreso than the one in the video. The Double Team double battle on Route 210. Pays out just under 27k and can be done in a minute. This is the payout before post game

I used this method to hoard revives and potions because I was so over the elite four. I went XP farming until my Pokémon were all the way at 72 and it was still brutal. I literally took potions until the only move the last Pokémon had was swords dance because I just wasn’t going through it again 😂
Kinda want to mention this. In SwSh, the higher level your Mewoth/Persian is, the more money you get from Payday. I used this method in SwSh for short while by using Lv100 Gigantamax Meowth to earn money. With that logic, I'm guessing if your Persian is at Lv100, you could earn more money with PayDay. Though I don't know if that's true.
Just love the nice touch of you waiting for your Togepi to follow behind with its' itty bitty footsteps. Lol Faster than Spiritomb moves, he's a slug. Even moreso than Gastrodon.
Your poffin video saved my life dude! That being said, with respect, you may be sleeping on pay day Persian. They sell for 2,750 and only cost 18 red s gems for me. i maxed out on everything i could only to find that 2 days later the trader has the same trade! Needless to say i maxed out on vitamins too. Came for the info, got excited when I noticed you were not wearing a hat. I was so disappointed when I finished talking to my character’s mom and she slapped my hat on my head as I was leaving.
2023 Update: I just started playing this game. I saved this playlist. Some things still apply while some do not. This financial strategy works, however now it's between 1,500 and 3,000 steps between each battle. Does anyone have a link to a readable Pokémon Shining Pearl Walkthrough with details and photos?
Imagine getting 300k+ every hour on like the 4th gym wow. You could buy so much vitamins for EVs and get max EVs for a pokemon every hour. Thats op. (Please dont nerf this Pokemon)
This is one of the most helpful videos for bdsp. Got max money in less than an hour. If you’re doing this btw, make sure to check how much money you have consistently. The max money in this game is 999,999 unlike SwSh.
I think there is technically a better method for this with the duo trainers on route 210. You only need one of them to be ready to battle both, and with the amulet coin you can get 26k+ per match. Plus they send out Gyarados and Raichou, so Attack and Speed EVs
I remember reaching max money in the original game because I used the VS seeker all the time. It was so handy! First game i ever maxed money on. I missed thr VS seeker so much. Its so op!!
I bought this game when it first came out and I never played it much maybe a couple hours and I was busy with the other games so I am so far behind. I am also here to support my favorite RUclipsr from my home state
Hey man thanks for the tutorial!, I just set a timer on my phone for an hour and speed ran it as quick as I could, I just finished my 60th game as the timer went off, it was post game and I had the amulet coin and got £979,200!
I haven't played this game yet, and I didn't watch the video, I listened while driving. But I knew exactly where he was and what he was doing. I feel like I did the exact same thing in the original when I was in 9th grade
south of solacen town(the one with the daycare center) theres a pair of trainers that run in a circle together. Every time i use the VS seeker and only one gets activated, i still battle both. Thats 10k every fight with the amulet coin.
Hi Austin I found a better money farming spot on the way to Celestic Town on Route 210. There is a double team on the first stairs leading up to celestic town route just after the psyducks blocking the way. When you defeat them with Amulet Coin you get $26,784 per battle as it is always a double battle with them. I have not reached post game yet but I would assume this will double post game. They have a Gyrados and Raichu and both give good experience as well so great for grinding levels and money. Thought might help. I can farm $1.6 million per hour at this spot and have only gotten the 5th badge.
Theres a dual battle 100% of the time where you can do this for 10k per fight before post game and its easier to get 100 steps cause its just up and down below the cafe that sells milk prob give even more post game
The Ace Trainer double battle on route 210 is good as well, it's a lvl27 gyarados and raichu and gives 26784 per battle with the amulet coin. The VS seeker can make either one of the trainers ping and it starts the double regardless of who is pinged.

thank you!
I REALLY need some balls n' heals! Thanks for uploading this tutorial.
OMG I literally love you!!! This helped a tone!!!
Finally I'll be able to buy more than 5 max potions at a time.
Thank you for making all these guides for us so fast, love the vids
Its so op!!
I definitely needed this right now. I'm training up a new team for the pokemon league and I need cash to quickly ev up my mons. Thank you for this.
Can’t wait for Legends Arceus. You’ve been cranking out helpful videos left and right.
When you started the video in hearthome i already knew it was gonna be this couple because i used this method in the gen 4 games as well
I bought this game when it first came out and I never played it much maybe a couple hours and I was busy with the other games so I am so far behind.
Hahah I had to do a double take cuz of my audio volume thought for a sec my man Austen drop a f bomb I was like what that can't be true
south of solacen town(the one with the daycare center) theres a pair of trainers that run in a circle together.
There's a pair of ace trainers on the route to Celestic town. They give 26000$ per battle before the post game. Its probably more now
Theres a dual battle 100% of the time where you can do this for 10k per fight before post game and its easier to get 100 steps cause its just up and down below the cafe that sells milk
prob give even more post game
Jeremy and Reina helped me get my Eevee and Mime Jr. the Gorgeous Royal ribbon in platinum…
Two of my favorite NPC’s lol
The Ace Trainer double battle on route 210 is good as well, it's a lvl27 gyarados and raichu and gives 26784 per battle with the amulet coin. The VS seeker can make either one of the trainers ping and it starts the double regardless of who is pinged.
