This was my first time on the Red Rooster III and wow what a trip, boat and crew. I was the sorry soul who hooked a 90# on a 30# spinning rod. You hosted a great charter thank you and Gundens!!!! It's now an annual trip for me.

Nice fishing just wondering how much these trips cost. I'm on the east Coast trying to come out there to fish. And what month you think is the best for the bluefin tuna

This was a 3 day on the Red Rooster sport boat. It runs about $2500 for everything. We actually do a 2.5 day on the ELDORADO out of Long Beach in mid August and it’s been really good every year. That trip runs $1500. If I had to pick the best month August would be it. Search our channel for the ELDORADO shows and you can see more of the good fishing this time of year. Thanks for the questions 🤙

Beware of linebackers/deckhands in the bow. 😂

Did the guy with the spinning rod ever land that fish? That rod seemed pretty small haha

He did not. The deckhand did 45 min later and he ended up getting a glove on and just pulling it in once it got close. Bad decision with a bendy coffee grinder. Captains tell guys not to use those rigs: they cause problems.

Unbelievable seeing a guy fishing a spinning reel with 100lb plus tuna being caught.

Well to be honest people were pulling up 30# at the time... when I flipped my sardine in that started the bigger boys being caught. Still a bad call on my part. This literally was my first 3 day ever... I'm just learning.
