- ■ INDIA, AHMEDABAD: You have to try Gujarati food people have been tellin me ever since I touched down in Ahmedabad. So I thought I would do just that by going to the famous Manekchok Streetfood market which opens at night. What I wasn't anticipating though was that my first dish there would be Punjabi. After a little trouble ordering due to my non-existant Hindi language skills I finally was served a delicious Veg Manchurian.

Well, in all fairness- (I lived in Ahmedabad for some time a few years back) These guys mostly do not know english. Like at all (for the most part). Even speaking calmly and slowly I had trouble in the Old City there. So, shouting loudy and quickly in English is maybe not the most effective form of communication. **Once I learned some Hindi and went there alone, no camera, just me quietly ordering food in the local language like a normal person- I had great experiences.**

It saddens me that American and European people are constantly being told that they are the racists yet the welcoming, respect and dignity that we show to Asian visitors shows the very opposite. This video is a great example of what I mean. A tourist to Ireland for example would NEVER be treated with anything like the disrespect shown to Harald here. It simply would not happen. I think the street food around the city is definitely worth a try on top of the lists for any food related adventures in India. Yes I may be brown but I’ve experienced the racism too. In lesser educated parts you can expect this no matter where. That being said personally Punjab places have always felt uncomfortable but don’t let me talk you against seeing the beautiful parts of India whether it’s food or scenic places I’d definitely say it’s in top 10 worldwide

Why would you stay in that one stall, when the people are not responding to your questions, mocking you, overcharging you, being passive aggressive and more. The worst country I have ever visited, by FAR. Spent 18 weeks there and it was horrible. Smelled like an outhouse no matter where I went and almost everyone was insanely rude.
Hinduism are brought up on violent war mythologies of Ramayn and Mahabharat tend to be aggressive and untrustworthy. Better go to business owned by non high caste Hindus for better treatment.

White supremacist and ethno state warriors anyone. The only distiction I would make is that places like India is clear racism and corruption and other places such as north american countries have hidden racism and corruption. Fear of the unknown person that does not look like you is everyone. I always felt personally responsible for foreigners in India and should like to point out to everyone that you should always be careful in India. It might be a country of spiritualism and yoga but a lot of shit people commit crazy acts in this country. Please be careful when you travel to India. Looks like a hostile place. I've been in Taiwan for 10 or more years and never had an experience like that. Taiwan people are just so friendly to foreigners, almost to a fault.
