Wow that surprisingly worked. I suspect they turned her up, and contained his voice. Still not what I expected gratefully. If you want to see him at full voice. Check adeste fidelis Montreal about 1978.
She doesn't need turning up as she had a powerful voice in her own right that is shown quite well on songs like I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners, I Would've Loved You Anyway and This Is Me You're Talking To.
@@seanscanlon9067 She is extremely talented. He is in a class by himself. Some consider him one of the greatest ever. I never thought WTF Trisha Yearwood because being a student of music I knew she could sing. Point of fact she has to hold back when she sings many times in her past duets...Garth included.
I can’t see Trisha Yearwood and her husband Garth Brooks are packing their belongings along with their children because they’re leaving America and moving to Ireland which was more comfortable and confident than being here in the USA but this is the country’s biggest home they want to be which was both beautiful and lovely. And that’s why they’re making a healthy change for the better.
Have to say, I had a WTF-type reaction when I read the title. A duet between a good-but-not-great country singer and quite possibly the greatest voice ever? And on one of his most well known pieces nonetheless. But Trisha surprisingly holds her own. Her tone when backed by a classical orchestra fits very nicely.
Her voice is strong enough to have an orchestra back her and have Pavarotti be beside her. If you listen to any song where she is backing someone up, they turn down her mic because her voice can overpower other singers (including her husband.)
Ms. Yearwood is an underrated American treasure. Able and capable of escaping and surprising those that have pigeon holed her as an ok country music performer.
You all under estimating Trisha Yearwood. She's one of the best female country vocalist but she has an influence from Linda Ronstadt, Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand. She also desired to perform in an opera show. Yearwood's ability to vocal acrobats is beyond reproach.
Trisha Yearwood IS a great country singer and a great singer, full stop. Listening to songs like This Is Me You're Talking To, Where Your Road Leads, Bring Me All Your Lovin', Down On My Knees, I Don't Paint Myself Into Corners, I'll Still Love You More, I Would've Loved You Anyway, Like We Never Had A Broken Heart, On A Bus To St. Cloud, Sad Eyes, The Flame, The Song Remembers When, The Woman Before Me and When Goodbye Was A Word will show that.
With all due respect to Ms. Yearwood, I considered her the weakest aspect of this performance. On the other hand, the orchestral and choral work was excellent, and of course, there was the magnificent tenor voice of the late Maestro Luciano Pavarotti.
When you need someone to sing along - better make it together for one thing: Duets. And that's why Luciano Pavarotti needs to somebody sing along as duets and vocalists. With talents like Trisha Yearwood, The Kelly Family, Jon Secada, Bryan Adams, Dame Joan Sutherland, Sheryl Crow, B.B. King, Tracy Chapman, The Spice Girls, Celine Dion, James Brown, Eric Clapton, Elton John, Liza Minnelli, Jose Carreras, Placido Domingo, Vanessa Williams, Mariah Carey, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Frederica Von Stade, Vikki Carr, Monica Mancini, Rhonda Davidson, Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, Tricia Leigh Fisher, Annie Lennox, Patti Dunham, Alison MacKenzie among others to keep him in such great company before his death in 2008.
