Personally I would have used some sort of joinery for the carcass, however the screws and glue are plenty strong for what it is plus this would turn a half day job into weeks. The coin shim idea I thought was brilliant! And the chest turned out very nice. Well done.
That's a lot of work in a short period of time, and the result looks great. For what that material would cost in my area you could just buy a brand new SnapOn tool box.
This is so neat!!!! I want to try one like it... maybe not as tall! What dimensional lumber did you used to start with? I thought it was plywood but the 2nd time around - it’s not!

This was great. Thank you for this video and for showing that it doesn't have to be showy to be good!
@@megandyprescott thank you
Really beautiful work, Jamie! 😃
It turned out fantastic! I need to try to make something like that as well!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you It was definitely a fun project
Outstanding craftsmanship!
@@billybike57 thank you
Superb, and very interesting to watch a professional! I would’ve ordered bigger handles on the sides though, these things get heavy fast.
Great idea for the drawers. Exactly what I was looking for,
Thanks I'm glad it helped
Damn - this man moves fast.
Very nice! I like those type boxes! Great job!
Thank you I can't wait to fill it
Just beautiful!!

Thank you and it is insane on how much wood prices are
Great job. Fair play
Thank you
Please show us a follow-up video of the tool chest after it has been in service, and sort of a "tour" of the tool arrangement you store in it!
I ended up selling it but i have future plans to build a much larger one
Great Job! Where can i find the bit you used to countersink? Since watching your build ive looked and looked. I would appreciate your help. ROB
Thank you and I used a forstner bit for the countersink
1:57 the Craftsman toolbox was watching over your shoulder, a tear welling up in his eye, wondering what he could have done to be enough…
Lol to funny thank you

Killer job
Thanks Mike
Hi, is there a cutting list for this build that you would share?
Sorry I don't have one I kind of made it up as I built it
Jamie do you have a cut list for this? Im new to woodworking and would like to build this as a gift
Sorry I don't have a cut list

Thank you, I used cherry hardwood that I cut down and milled on my sawmill it's 3/4 inch thick
Wow! No wonder it’s such big boards!! Can’t get them that big at HD.
Thanks!
@@bugfeet73 you can achieve the same results with plywood like oak or birch or check with your local sawmill they should have wide boards
Excelente 👍
Thank you
I feel ripped off. The reveal was in normal speed after the entire video was in fast forward.
cut that back panel a bit short.
Yup sure did but still turned out pretty good
