When cutting the lid off if you wedge a 1/8" strip of wood into the kerf after each side is cut you won’t get that kickback on the last side from the piece pressing into the saw blade and the line is flawless. Great job!
Personally I would have used some sort of joinery for the carcass, however the screws and glue are plenty strong for what it is plus this would turn a half day job into weeks. The coin shim idea I thought was brilliant! And the chest turned out very nice. Well done.
Congratulations on building such a great piece of 'art' it looks perfect, my only question is, how come you did not use pocket hole screws for the comp.ete build? Congrats once agai , bedt regards from Australia, Les
That's a lot of work in a short period of time, and the result looks great. For what that material would cost in my area you could just buy a brand new SnapOn tool box.
This is so neat!!!! I want to try one like it... maybe not as tall! What dimensional lumber did you used to start with? I thought it was plywood but the 2nd time around - it’s not!

Superb, and very interesting to watch a professional! I would’ve ordered bigger handles on the sides though, these things get heavy fast.
Very nice cabinet. What are you going to put in it you don’t seem to use hand tools! Admiration and amusement from U.K.
Very nice! I like those type boxes! Great job!
Thank you I can't wait to fill it
Nice! Thanks for posting this.

Hi, is there a cutting list for this build that you would share?
Sorry I don't have one I kind of made it up as I built it
1:57 the Craftsman toolbox was watching over your shoulder, a tear welling up in his eye, wondering what he could have done to be enough…
Lol to funny thank you
@@jlistdiy hahaha anyway, beautiful work!
Отличная работа 👍
Молодец.
Thank you
I love this box! It looks great. What are the overall dimensions of the box?
Sorry for the late response it measures 21.5 inch wide 11.5 inch deep 15 inch tall
Damn fine job.

Thank you, I used cherry hardwood that I cut down and milled on my sawmill it's 3/4 inch thick
Wow! No wonder it’s such big boards!! Can’t get them that big at HD.
Thanks!
@@bugfeet73 you can achieve the same results with plywood like oak or birch or check with your local sawmill they should have wide boards
Jamie do you have a cut list for this? Im new to woodworking and would like to build this as a gift
Sorry I don't have a cut list
Classic!
Killer job
Thanks Mike
Excelente 👍
Thank you
I feel ripped off. The reveal was in normal speed after the entire video was in fast forward.
