They do, but not all the time. You would have to contact the group for information. “PSVRR.org”

Haha, it was in the spring time. Also if you go now the surrounding land is tore up because they are building thousands of homes on both sides of the road, It will never look like this again .😱

Very true, I was able to shoot this just before the carnage began to happen.
It always cracks me up when the state talks about being Golden in the summer, I just think of the vegetation as being Dead 💀, LoL 😂

@@Tshasta4449 and then the fear becomes that the housing association or whoever decides they don't like the sounds of the train passing by, so they push for closing the tracks and removing them for a trail. There's been a push in the past to remove the tracks for a trail in El Dorado County, which the PSVRR has been adamantly against and instead pushes for a trail alongside the rails.
That's what doomed the Kettle Moraine Railway in Wisconsin, when the growth of suburbia around it drove them out following residents' complaints of the noise. Hopefully that won't be the case here, and when people move in they are aware the train was here first and it's a big economic boost for the area.
A Folsom to Latrobe train ride with a trail alongside is a serious win for both, as well as the town of Latrobe which could really benefit from a regular train bringing tourists up from Folsom for events along with a trail for locals and tourists alike to use. There are plenty of rail-with-trail tourist lines that can be looked at for examples.

So true, I’d love to see the line run to Diamond Springs. That would be a great trip meandering through the country side.
