- At last, Part 2 of my visit to the Mere & District Railway Modellers 2024 Exhibition held over the weekend of 15th/16th June. I'm sorry for the delay but after uploading Part 1, my laptop decided to stop working and had to be sent away for repair. It's back now and normal service can be resumed (hopefully!).
The four layouts featured in Part 2 are:
00:00 Mere & District Railway Modellers Exhibition 2024 Part 2 Intro.
00:20 Ashover Light Railway - 009 gauge.
06:10 Woodbury Quay - 009 gauge - Richard Holder.
08:38 Arun Quay - 0 gauge - Gordon Gravett.
11:20 Thomas the Tank Engine - 00 gauge - Mere & District Railway Modellers.

Very nice scenery!
It was! Very nice trains too!
the engines on the 1st one were so detailed and painted down so well i had to look again the see it was 009. thanks again for another video..
Glad you enjoyed it. I was particularly intrigued by the detail of the valve gear on the locos. Such intricate detail that seemed to work perfectly!
The Thomas layout is a much more intricate one than that at the Hoddesdon Model and Railway Club.
Thomas & his Friends seem to appear at most local exhibitions. Entertains the kids!
Woodbury Quay is a lovely little layout!! But I just can’t place the location properly. It’s obviously a quay on a canal, but I just can’t place it in the country.
The layout was originally called Windrush Wharf, after the River Windrush in Oxfordshire.
Isn’t there a scenic railway in narrow gauge by that name just outside Templecombe?
I can't help you with that query. I didn't take note of any information about the layout. Must remember if I see the layout again.
