      I thought the same… every time I had a go at building it! Oddly enough, I tried all sorts of shapes but it actually didn’t look right until I made it fall quite straight, not what I was expecting. Making water with square bricks was very challenging and at times tested my patience! Relieved to hear a positive comment, thank you very much, your support means a lot! 😃👍

    Thanks for sharing the rock technique very good! The waterfall looks great but might be even more of a realistic illusion with some light trans blue cheese slopes or light trans blue round tiles pieces mixed in with the clear section of falling water there, looking good! Subscribed.

    Hey Henry! I was wondering, is it possible to have a chat with you offline if that is OK with you? I wanted to ask you, re how you get your height I can see you have timber boards on top of boards, and that way you create the depth, etc. I am struggling with ideas on how I want my mountain to be, and other building around it, and of course, I have ideas, but, creating them is trial and error but........ How did you go with this?

    • @henrys_bricks
      @henrys_bricks  7 месяцев назад

      Hey Josh, happy to chat, not sure what the best way is to do that? I have one narrow table down the centre of a wider table. I use kitchen cabinet adjustable legs from Bunnings underneath so I can get heights all exactly level. To build the mountain I just visually worked out where I wanted it to basically start and end including the height. I didn’t pre-plan everything, somethings just evolved as I was building. I knew which things I wanted to include (waterfalls, train tunnels etc). Laying out the train track early is also a good idea to allow room for corners. A lot of it just comes together as you go. Not sure if any of this helps? Some of my older videos might help too? Looking forward to hearing how you go! 😃

    I love rockwork, it's so hard but also easy and cool to do.
    Still can't seem to make a waterfall ... that's just so hard

    • @henrys_bricks
      @henrys_bricks  5 месяцев назад

      I find building the rock work so strangely satisfying, not sure why! The waterfall was definitely challenging my patience and took several failed attempts! I looked at real waterfall images to see the shape and angles of falling water… then the challenge was doing it with 1x2 bricks. I think looking at it from a distance every now and then helped too. Keep trying, the end result will be worth it!! 😃😁👍
