Brilliant rendition and display. Great teaching skills! Very easy to follow! May I make one suggestion? If you had a click track on the 4 pulse, (metronome sound), bell or shaker on your foot to show where the pulse is that would be very helpful! :) Thanks for posting!
I like that you started the video with the complete rhythm. Helps while learning to piece it together. Thanks. Do you have any Timba songs I can practice the rhythm to?
Thank you Michael! Next time I'll to add a pulse to the rhythm to make it more easy to follow. BTW I enjoy your video's very much too! And I love the sound of your Manito congas!
Great lesson and breakdown as always Micheal!!!! The link is a video on my channel I posted some time ago. It came from the LP website when he was still endorsed by them. When he went to Tycoon they took it down. Luckily I took a copy. He is starting it same as the start of Rumba Guaguanco, so the 4th beat you referring to is on the three side of the clave (if I am not mistaken). Like most Timba patterns it would be in rumba clave of course. Cheers
Great lesson! Thank you! Can you please talk about your tuning for 4 congas and what sizes to use. so if I have a quinto, conga, tumba, lp classics, what would i buy for the 4th, another tumba? Thanks!
